Do you think you could do regresser Gregor headcannons…I had a vision and now I can’t get him out of my head, no rush tho
ohmgosh anon i get it. he makes me feel so.. ended up writing more than i expected to, hope these are good! ^_<
gregor is very much a toddler / young kid regressor to me. he is roughly 4-5 years old when regressed, sometimes older and sometimes younger. he's just a little guy your honor…
his regression is largely involuntary and trauma-related, particularly due to hermann and his augmentation. because of this he is very anxious, sad, and easily frightened by harsh stimuli. he also flips back and forth between being scared of maternal figures and seeking affection and care from them. he often attempts to hide when he's feeling upset and cries quietly. he rarely experiences big meltdowns or tantrums, and when he does they're typically the result of over-stimulation.
for some reason i see him really enjoying puzzles and board games and such. those sorts of simple rainy day activities. he also likes blocks and going on little outdoor adventures, he gets irritable if cooped up inside for too long.
on the bus, gregor's primary caregivers are rodion and meursault. his fun aunt and patient papa... he doesn't prefer one over the other per se, but he may gravitate more towards one of them depending on how he's feeling. for example, if he's feeling really sad and tired, he'll probably crawl up into meursault's lap in the back of the bus. dante and ryoshu may look after him on occasion as well (the former significantly more than the latter...)
due to his upbringing, regression makes him fairly solitary. he's quite the shy little guy and is hesitant to play with the other regressing sinners. however, i could see him eventually getting along with sinclair since they're both pretty chill regressors c:
don't even get me started on him and yuri btw. in my head they have very similar regression ranges and would be such good playmates. they are brother and sister btw
a thumb sucker and a chewer... he is initially very flustered by the idea of using a pacifier, but eventually swallows his pride and lets rodya pick one out for him. it's green and white and very simple, but it doesn't take long for him to get attached and actively seek it out whenever he feels small.
i already hc him to have some sensory issues, and i imagine those are absolutely heightened when he's small. he's very adverse to specific textures and sounds... i could also see him getting really upset over his bug arm :c
i am a firm believer that gregor smokes when he's regressed btw. no one attempts to stop this because it's not particularly worth it. him dropping hard after his canto, lighting a cigarette with shaky baby hands and dante turns to meursault like "should. should he be doing that" and meursault just shrugs. he also gives me 420 regressor vibes tbh
