summary: being young, brash, and marrying heeseung comes with the threat of disillusionment. but perhaps after a night in a strangers arms, no one has to be in the wrong anymore.
Thereâs no need for the church bells to officiate the union. The veil will never lift from your eyes, as long as youâre committed to this love. Thereâs nothing to see clearly.
âI do,â he said, âtill death do us part, I do.â
Standing at the altar of the city center, heard is the promise of love among the bustle.
With no ring, just a tattoo, and with no sense, just youthful naivety, you run back into the streets.
This love is pure, please donât say otherwise.
đ”
The house is shoddy. And yet the house is a home. In your wedding dress, veil still hanging over your face, you lie on the floor between boxes and knick-knacks. On the aged couch by the window sits Heeseung, the green light making his blond hair olive-toned. Toasting the end of a cheap cigar, he looks down at your splayed body, blanketed by lace and frill.
âWhen I get that job at the insurance company, the first thing Iâll do is get you a big rock on a gold band.â
âHow about paying rent?â you laugh.
âThat too,â he sighs before coughing into the arm of his suit jacket.
You hear his footsteps creak on the floorboards as he approaches you, kneeling and balancing the cigar between two fingers, using his other hand to lift your veil.
âBut we can dream, right?â he whispers before leaving a chaste kiss on your lips.
âThen for our honeymoon, Iâm dreaming of Madrid.â
He smiles down at your face, admiration clouding his eyes.
âReally, if you want it, I can make it happen. But how do you feel about having your honeymoon a couple of years late?â
Sitting up, you put a hand on his shoulder and the other on his thigh, feeling the warmth of his body bring your cold fingers to life.
âNo, our honeymoon is tonight. And all you need is a full tank of gas.â
He lifts his brows at you teasingingly, fingertips pushing up layers of tulle and lace to inch up your bare legs and settle on your thigh.
âTonight? Or should we consummate right now?â
âWith the dress on?â
âWith the dress on.â
There on the floor, he gently places you down, running his hand that once held the dropped cigar over your exposed collarbones to your waist over the dress. His eyes are all over you, like this moment will be branded into memory until his deathbed, like he canât let it escape. Not a sight as beautiful as this, his bride ready to be taken by him. Each kiss he litters onto your skin is a sacred moment for him. When he lifts your leg to press his mouth against your inner thigh, it sends shivers down your spine. Your whole body is shaking, every sensation is on ten.
âI wish I could take a photo of how beautiful you are right now,â he slurs against your leg, kisses becoming sloppy, eyelids heavy. âImmortalize it,â Heeseung moans to himself.
You canât speak, the words are stuck in your throat that can only release stuttering breaths. Your arms wrap around his shoulders, pulling him in closer to finally let his weight fall against you. Itâs lips against lips, simple, and then hungry. His lips are chapped, scratchy against your own that are soft. Heat bloomed, trickling up your jaw and making you dizzy. The only cure was to eagerly kiss harder, until there was no way to differentiate whose tongue was whose, until you suffocated and took your last breath. You feel Heeseungâs fingertips grip tighter around your thigh, nails digging in the flesh and leaving crescents you know will become marks.
He pulls away, looking down at you like his restraint is a thread invisible to the eye and ready to snap.
âCan I? Please?â he whines. You let your head fall back against the ground, only the thin fabric of your veil cushioning you. Everything feels fuzzy; the ceiling is a blur of color and shapes.
âYes- yes,â you mutter breathlessly.
It doesnât matter how many times you make love or fuck, Heeseung bottoming out always leaves you winded. The stretch burns before simmering down into pleasure with each thrust faster than the previous one. Youâre a babbling mess on the floor, spouting nonsense and looking for something to grab, but your manicured nails chip at the tips, scratching at the hardwood floors. Heeseung pushes your dress up as high as possible, exposing your white panties shoved to the side and the arousing sight of your cunt, wrapping around him, perfectly tight. It's almost embarrassing how short he thinks heâll last, but he canât slow down, and you donât want him to. Heeseung pinches your waist to ground himself, wrinkling the ironed lace. But with his jaw hanging open and the pulse of your hole as you climax, he canât help it. He pulls out and makes a sacrilegious scene of your pure white panties, now soiled with his cum.
đ”
In Heeseungâs beat-down red ride, you take the passenger seat, driving to nowhere. Neither of you changed, just grabbed what you needed. The keys, his wallet, a change of clothes, a drink, and a pack of cigarettes with a light. The top is down, and the wind is blowing in your hair. The subtle breeze as the season begins to shift into winter brings goosebumps to your skin, but it's freeing. Heeseung has one hand on the wheel and the other resting on the car door. There are no words exchanged; the radio fills the silence, playing old tunes between the host's blurbs you pay no attention to. The city is long left behind, now the streets line planes of grass and suburbia before becoming the middle of nowhere. Heeseung doesnât have any source of directions. Your heels are on the dash, and a bottle of chilled Absolut Vanilia vodka in your hands that you sip neat. Heeseung gives you a disapproving look from the corner of his eye, but you ignore it. Yeah, yeah, you canât handle your alcohol sometimes, but tonight is celebratory, and that's why he canât say anything. Really, he canât scold you for anything after all heâs done. He knows that. Whenever Heeseung is dissatisfied and canât say it out loud, he thrums his fingers against something, and in the moment, his fingers are tapping rapidly against the top of his steering wheel.
Itâs such a telltale, and you hate it. So you provoke him a little.
âHeedeungie, give me a light.â
âCanât you see Iâm driving?â
You take a swig of vodka, burning your throat and going down rough.
âYou donât need to have an attitude with me, just say you canât give me a light.â
He turns to face you for a second before looking back to the road with an exasperated look and rummaging in his pocket for a lighter. At the same time, you pick out a cig from the box and place it between your lips, waiting for him.
âYou know I donât want to fight,â he sighs while sparking the lighter against the tip of your cigarette.
âWho said I want to fight?â you mutter.
âYouâre tipsy.â
âIâm celebrating.â
âNo, you're trying to get drunk.â
âNo, Iâm happy, and I want to be happy with you, so I donât wanna fight.â
Heeseung drops the lighter in the cup holder and reaches for your hand,d still wrapped around the bottle. He intertwines his fingers with yours, bringing your knuckles to his lips and placing a tender kiss without letting go.
âI know, Iâm sorry, baby.â
You lean over the console, placing your head on his shoulder while he drives, satisfied.
âWe should stop at a motel soon.â
Heeseung hums, both of you acknowledging the setting sun.
đ”
Youâre so drunk. The bottle sits on the bedside of the motel room while Heeseung showers. Youâve already showered, sitting on the edge of the bed in your bra and panties, staring at the way your heels click together. Such clean heels stand out against the aged brown tile of the motel, even the white sheets are off by a shade. Your body is feeling loose, you're testing how far your ass can sit on the edge before falling off, when Heeseung comes out of the bathroom, a towel slung around his shoulders and one around his waist.
âWhat are you doing?â
âNothing,â you shrug.
Heeseung rubs the towel on his shoulders roughly against his hair, a drop of water landing on your thigh.
When heâs done, he kneels slightly to take the heels off your feet with a sigh, but you pull away.
âI donât wanna take them off.â
The attitude in your voice makes Heeseungâs eyebrow twitch, but he keeps his composure well.
âHow are you supposed to sleep with your shoes on?â
âIâm not sleeping yet.â
âItâs almost midnight.â
âSo?â
âSo? We have to be up tomorrow?â
âI hate you.â
âWhat?â
Your eyes scan the motel room, unkempt, miserable, familiar.
âI hate you.â
You kick your heel back into place, shouldering Heeseung when you get up to walk over to the side table, taking a swig of vodka that's more painful than anything. It's room temperature now and sears your throat. He snatches the bottle from your grip, so harshly it slips from his hand and shatters against the motel floor.
âYou-â you begin to scream.
âWhat can I do when youâre acting a fool?â he yells back.
âGo fuck another bitch,â you spit in his face, shoving him with your palms to grab your trench coat hanging on the lone chair in the room. Buttoning it up, you sway side to side as you storm out. Heeseung doesnât say anything, but in your peripheral vision, you can see he hasnât moved from where you left him.
đ”
The night is cold, winds blowing through your coat to exposed skin beneath and seeping into your bones. The town is unrecognizable, but you stumble in your heels, rummaging in your pocket for a cig and a light to keep you warm. Your hands tremble as you flick the spark to life and sigh when heat spreads through your chest. Youâre a total mess.
âCan I have a light?â
You look over your shoulder to the voice that spoke out, a boy swinging his legs on the raised cobblestone that lined the sidewalk. Moles littered his face, and a leather jacket swallowed his tall frame, the meek hood on his head keeping him from the cold.
âPlease, my vape died,â he pouts.
You toss the lighter in the essentially empty pack of cigarettes at him, which he catches with two hands.
âTake it, boy, it's yours.â
But before you can leave he calls out to you again.
âHey, spark one up with me.â
You turn on your heel with a shrug, accepting the lighter he passes back to you so that you can set flame to the cigarette butt sticking out between his plump lips.
âIâve never smoked a cigarette before,â he says, muffled.
âOh yeah? Are we celebrating?â
You can only focus on the elevation of his Adam's apple as he laughs, pouty mouth showing the white of his teeth as he struggles to keep his lips sealed.
âMhm, youâve deflowered me.â
You can only shake your head and look off towards the rows of houses.
âWhat a first night.â
âI can tell youâve been having some fun yourself,â he leans forward, âthe smell of liquor is strong off you.â
You take one long drag as you contemplate your words, but your mind isnât sound.
âItâs my first night too.â You show off the tattoo branded around your ring finger with an ornate cross in the middle. âIâm a married woman tonight.â
The boy leans back on his palms, the cigarette almost falling to the ground between the weak hold of his teeth.
Raising his eyebrow, he doesnât hide his amusement.
âIâve never seen a bride all alone on her wedding night.â
âIâm not a traditional bride,â you shrug.
âHad a fight with your groom?â he prods.
âYouâre sure nosy.â
âAnyone would ask, and you sure are young to be married.â
âDefinitely older than you.â
âHey, Iâm grown. Just turned twenty.â
You roll your eyes.
âWhatever.â
Silence permeated between the two of you for minutes on end. When your cigarette became a stem of ash, you threw it to the ground and pulverized it with your heel. It seemed the low temperatures stung your skin all over again and made your heart bitter.
âNothing really happened at all. I just didnât know how to be happy. I didnât know how to sit on that motel bed and not think about all the other girls he fucked while weâve been together. How he probably took them to motels just like that.â
You laugh to yourself, digging your heel even harder into the sidewalk. âThe vodka burned the words straight out of my throat, but the feeling never left.â
You can hear from behind you the boy's shoes hit the ground, and his own cig hit the floor.
âSo whyâd you stay? Whyâd you marry him?â
You spin around and lift your arms in defeat, the bitter ache in your chest swelling and spilling over.
âI donât know? Because I loved him? Because he told me he loved me? Because I didnât know anything else?â
You fall into yourself, hunching over your knees, but the air is suffocating, and the chill envelopes your entire body. Even the burn in your throat and the tears of truth welling in your waterline give no warmth.
You feel cool fingertips lift your chin, the boy's eyes staring directly into yours.
âMake the score even then,â he rasps.
His hand slides further, fully cupping the sides of your face before his soft lips crash into yours. You think for a brief second it tastes sweet, like syrupy strawberries, but you pull away.
âYouâre nuts,â you stumble backwards to stand back up on your feet. He remains crouched, looking up at you with innocent eyes.
âIâm just trying to help out. A favor for the one you did for me.â
You wipe at your mouth with the base of your palm.
âYou wanna help me? Get me a drink.â
âIâm twenty.â
âIâm not.â
He licks his lips with a laugh, eyebrows raising again.
âI get it,â he dips a hand into his leather pocket and pulls out a beat-up wallet. He places a crumpled ten and a twenty in your own coat pocket before taking a step back. âJust share whatever you buy with me, promise?â
âSure, sure, just show me the way to the nearest store.â
He has a finger hooked in the empty belt loop of your trench as he guides you forward, leaning down to speak against the shell of your ear.
âIâm Ni-ki by the way.â
đ”
You donât exactly process when you end up back at his place, cradling a bottle of rum on the bed and Ni-ki in his mini-fridge looking for Diet Coke.
His room is small; itâs a studio apartment on the hundredth floor of some complex. You can still feel the tingling from his hand holding yours to drag you up the stairs.
Ni-ki takes the bottle from your hand, pouring it into a plastic cup before topping it with Coke.
âYou have no pants on?â he comments, eyes flickering down at your crossed legs that are no longer concealed beneath the length of your coat.
âNo,â you roll over on your side, clamping your legs together.
âMhm,â he hums, setting everything but the cup on the floor by his bed before crawling on. âSip.â
You look back over your shoulder and part your lips as he tips the drink, letting it pour down your throat and dribble down your chin.
âMore?â he asks.
You nod, and he angles the cup farther. It feels lewd the way he looks down at you, hooded eyes locked on your wet lips. He takes what's left in the cup for himself without ever breaking eye contact with your face.
âMore?â His voice is quieter, softer, like heâs rocking you to sleep and you open your mouth in response. Ni-ki reaches for the bottle off the floor before pouring it straight down your throat. Itâs too much, too disgusting, watered-down sugar, chemicals, and a burn. But you take it all until he stops.
âHere, here,â he soothes, and now the coke can is pressed to your mouth, but it's too sudden and only half of it makes it where it's supposed to, and the rest leaves sticky trails down your neck and collarbones. His hands are quick to wipe it away, but it's just skin on skin; he doesnât help at all. Soon, his fingertips are inching lower, and he pops each button of your coat open, but you donât do a thing, just watch how skillful his long fingers work.
âIâm cold,â you mutter.
âIâll warm you up.â
You shiver as your skin is exposed, goosebumps rising from your clavicle to your ankles.
âPretty,â he hums.
You grip his forearm and pull him flush against you like a blanket. Anything to be warm again.
His hands are tracing circles down your spine the moment you pull him in, and he accepts it as a hug. Heâs just a stranger with a name you learned thirty minutes ago, but this stranger is so warm, and all the alcohol has liquified your mind and body into its most basic of functions: seeking comfort, seeking pleasure.
âCloser,â you whine, and he obliges. Your bra is slipping, threatening to make you even more indecent with the way the two of you press against each other. It's not long before his lips press their heat against yours, and your gut is bubbling with guilt and satisfaction. He kisses like a memory brought to life, sweet and euphoric, all edges blurred to give the illusion of perfection. You let his tongue slip past, and itâs all so soft inside your mouth you think you might bite down and eat him. Sugar, heâs like sugar. Better than the diluted sweetness of rum.
Your hands find purchase at the back of his neck, interlocking between strands of coarse hair. His baggy jeans donât do much to hide the growing erection slotting between your legs. The friction shoots straight to your core, and inhibitions arenât even a concept anymore. You feel so hot that even a match straight to the skin wouldnât compare.
You let Ni-ki run kisses down from your lips to your chest, leaving a trail of burning bliss. When your bra blocks his path, he lets his hand on your back fall to the clasp to open it. The sensation of his wet lips and soft tongue wrapping your nipple makes you keen and wrap your legs tighter around his hips in search of further relief. When he looks up at you, his pupils are blown out.
âYou want more?â
You nod your head, falling back against the wall to give him more access to your body. Using the nail of his middle finger, he draws a path down your sternum, over your chest, and to the aching wet spot in between your thighs.
Over the cotton, he presses his finger in and watches how you take him in readily, even if not all the way. He has to bite his lip to stifle the pathetic sound resounding in his throat.
âI know youâd take my cock well,â he purrs.
âNo, no, no, you canât,â you ramble.
Ni-ki leans further on top of you, middle finger still pressed over your cunt, but his pinky hooks to get your panties out of the way.
âNot even the tip?â he pleads.
âNo,â you shake your head firmer.
He sticks his bottom lip out in a pout and furrows his brow in feigned disappointment.
âOk,â he plunges two fingers inside of you with harsh speed. The squelch is lewd, and you feel like a pervert the way that alone turns you on even further. Ni-ki looks you straight in the eye as he scissors you open, teeth biting deep into his plush lip. Heâs gotten more than he thought he would tonight: a light, a drink, and your body.
âTreat me like you would him,â he says, âtake it all out on me.â
You wrinkle your forehead in confusion at the absurdity of his words, and he leans in closer.
âCome on, spit at me, fight me.â
You punch him weakly, but it has no energy to it. Youâre too focused on the sensation of his fingers thrusting inside of you. Ni-ki grabs your fist and punches himself in the chest with it.
âWhere's the fight in you?â he taunts. You spit at him. It lands right above his cupid's bow with an impressive projection, and he smiles.
âThats my girl.â
He thrusts impossibly deeper into your cunt, his knuckles are practically inside you. With his free hand, he inserts a thumb between your lips and against your teeth to open your mouth wide.
âBut it's better like this.â
He spits straight into your mouth, and you feel it slide down your throat. Itâs so depraved you feel the pressure in your core build, a couple more thrusts, and youâll be completely undone around his digits.
Satisfied Ni-ki shifts so his face hovers below your waist. His pace inside of you remains as he gently rolls his tongue around your clit and sucks. You canât help the moans that slip past your lips as the feeling makes you climax. When you come down, your body is weightless, and Ni-ki is still nuzzled between your legs. He removes his fingers from inside you and rubs the same sticky fingers against your stomach in a daze of amusement.
âItâs a shame I canât see how my cum would trickle out of you, your pussy looks so pretty when you cum,â he coos.
âYou fucking weirdo,â you slur in response.
âIâm just so goddamn hard right now, I would even put it in your ass if I could.â
âPervert.â
All the alcohol and sex are making you drowsy, your vision fades as the last thing in your line of sight is Ni-ki sitting up on his knees and unbuckling his belt to jerk himself on top of you.
âPervert,â you repeat.
Your eyelids weigh down and drift out of consciousness.
đ”
Youâre hungover, half naked, and covered in dried cum. Ni-ki is on the floor, face down with an empty bottle of rum in his grip. It doesnât process for you. The guilt, shame, repulsion, none of it. You swallow the dryness in your throat and peel yourself from the mattress, stepping over Ni-ki to put on your heels and rake through the knots in your hair. When you go to the bathroom and open the faucet you pause and stare at the tattooed ring on your finger. Your head throbs and you stumble forward but the feeling in your gut is simply numb. You wipe the cum off your body as if it were any other stain. Luckily Ni-ki didnât leave any marks on your skin so no proof of the night remains, only the mess of your panties that feel disgusting against your skin but there's nothing that can be done for now. You could really use a cigarette.
When you leave the bathroom Ni-ki is still knocked out and you kick him with your heel. In response he whines, turning his face a quarter of the way towards you and muffling his voice with his elbow.
âWhat?â
âI gotta go. Do you have something I can take a hit of?â
At that he rolls over completely to rest on his arms, eyes puffy with lack of sleep.
âYouâre gonna go back to him?â
You roll your eyes and give him another kick.
âWell I woke up still married.â
âTheres a vape on the kitchen counter.â
Ni-ki falls flat against the floor and you go towards the counter. It's strawberry ice. Childish.
đ”
Heeseung is still confined to the motel room. He lays on his back staring at the popcorn ceiling. His eyes are blood shot and his leg trembling. Itâs about easy to guess why you blew up at him. He knows all the times youâve caught him slipping up have added up into an impenetrable resentment. But he was a changed man, and he wanted only you, only his bride. Those other girls didnât mean anything now, they never did.
He jumps when he hears a knock at the door. It has to be you. He jumps to his feet and opens the door in a heartbeat. You stand there, hair a mess, jaw clenched, and eyes sunken. Heesueng wraps his arms around your waist and falls to his knees right at the doorway. He can smell the vague scent of musk and rum, someone else on you but he ignores it.
âIâm sorry,â he pleads.
You pet his hair in silence, eyes locked on the way his blond tendrils glide through your fingers. His hair is softer than Ni-kiâs.
âAre you ready for the honeymoon?â you ask.
Heeseung looks up at you in shock with red eyes before nodding vigorously. He looks like he could throw up all the blood in his body with joy. And his joy makes you nearly feel uneven in filth and sin.
You kneel to reach his level and kiss him harshly, letting the taste of electric heat, Ni-kiâs saliva, and coke permeate across his taste buds. Heeseung kisses back eagerly as if consuming and absolving you of all your wrongdoings in the past twelve hours.
âYou donât look well baby,â you whisper against his open mouth.
âI canât be well without you.â
You smile, satisfied at his needy state.
âLets exchange real vows, at a real church,,â you propose. âStart new again.â
But you know the past festers beneath and influences every single thing, no matter how much progress the two of you make. Still, there's no other direction to take, and just as you know misery in his arms you know the greatest of joys.
A damned bride and groom in a dingy motel room, falling over and over again.
You're in love with a miserable man, and a miserable man is in love with you.
He spits onto the pavement, head down to the floor while fumbling with his carabiner to toss you the keys of his 2006 Honda CR-V.Â
When his eyes look at you it appears like a film cases his cornea. He doesnât actually see you.
âYour makeup is pretty today.â
You ignore his compliment, catching the keys dangling them on your index.Â
âIâm not driving, Heeseung.â
His pout is tempting, the way his bleached hair shadows his doe eyes donât help in the slightest either.Â
His frame is a mere echo of what it was before, muscle has dwindled into something leaner, his shirt sits too loose showing the concave of his collarbones, and the bags beneath his eyes are bolder today than yesterday.Â
âI guess I can drive,â you sigh, unlocking the driver door, getting in well before Heeseung who slowly drags his body over.Â
Heâs rubbing his hands together over his lap in the passenger seat, slumped to the max.Â
Pinching his bony jaw in your forefingers you bring his face towards yours.Â
âWhats wrong with you today?â
âNothing, nothing, baby nothing,â he rambles.Â
You let his face fall back forward like a lost cause.Â
The ride home is just the quiet rumble of the engine, radio static switching in between music and hosts, and the breathing of his laboring lungs.Â
It feels like you walk directly on your bones as you park the car, make it through the complex parking lot and to the front door of your shared apartment.
Itâs small, itâs humble, it was sweet. Once so very sweet.Â
Now just walls that keep getting tighter and suffocating but simultaneously hollow and haunting.Â
The only pretty thing in this place being your lover's subdued face.Â
You walk onwards as you hear him kick his shoes off and throw your bag onto the couch walking straight to the bedroom. You throw your body onto the mattress, covered with a single loose sheet and two pillows resting side by side.Â
Heeseung shuffles in after you, his shirt no longer on and pants falling down his hips without a belt, showing a glimpse of his boxers. He only stands at the door, watching you, before running a hand through his faded hair and coming over. The weight of his knees are shallow on the bed, but you feel it and turn over, looking up at his tearful face.Â
âIâm sorry,â he mumbles.
You caress the tears running down the smooth slopes of his cheeks, wiping them away like poison thatâll taint his skin.Â
âWhy be sorry?â
But at your words he collapses in your arms, hugging tightly around your waist with all the energy left in his body.Â
âBecause I see the way you look at me, like Iâm a ghost walking and speaking.â
His hair is soft in your hands, his skin is hot on your body, and your heart is thrumming.
âNo, no.â you whisper.
âYes. Itâs because of what I do.â
âNo, itâs because of what it does to you.â
He lifts his head, looking down at you, wet eyes spilling droplets of his sadness onto you.
âWe all know itâs my fault.â
You pinch his cheeks, and watch the blood resurface making them pink for such a brief moment.Â
His body crumbles in your hands and he drops his face back down to kiss you, lips featherlight on yours.
Itâs so weak, so gentle. Warmth shoots throughout your jaw, deepening the kiss but remaining slow.Â
But soon itâs in your eyes, and the both of you are crying, cradling each other in your arms like the tiny room will swallow you whole. And youâd rather be swallowed together.Â
Heeseungâs lips move from yours to the dip of your clavicle, with that a kiss and to your fingertips each one as well.Â
He feels soft.Â
Youâd just love to drown in his lips again, his breath, his life, his energy, his soul, his entirety. If not yours then youâre someone who has nothing, because this is the only thing you want. Itâs almost a sense of jealousy you feel, that you need him so much but he exists separately from you. Even while he sits there adoring you, you still crave him.Â
Just to love him.Â
And his tears are yours, and your tears are his.Â
You both live for this brief, fulfilling feeling.Â
[ketamine doll dancing, dancing, falling to pieces. ketamine doll your rosy pretty pink cheeks are fading. you're an angel to me, i love you ketamine doll. numb, numb, number and aching]
note: didn't proof read this at all, its kind of a selfish work, love u all always
His touch was fire to your skin, burning you alive in feverish bliss. Holding onto the softness of his bambi eyes before heâd leave again like you knew he would, you stared deeply into them as if to ingrain the sight into the back of your eyelids. That way you could close your eyes and admire it in his absence. Living like this was hell, but a hell so sweet you let it rot your teeth and numb your mind.Â
Your back hit the wall as he pressed against you with a roughness that made you dizzy. In this spell you muttered his name like a mantra, a plea, a bargain, to just stay a little longer.
âHeeseung.â
His lips brushed against yours, fanning warm breath you inhaled.Â
His smile was sweetness itself. He knew you existed wrapped around his pinky.Â
He tortured your soul mercilessly.
A cruel lover.Â
But Heeseung was yours since the day at the beach house. He was yours through the seasons. He was yours when he played those notes on the grand piano in the living room where the window gazed upon the beach waves. Loveâs Sorrow, a piece you heard on the violin only once before, he played for you on the piano from pure memory. He had you trapped since then.Â
Perhaps it was before then though. Maybe it was the day your eyes first laid upon each other.Â
A week into traveling solo you saw him across the restaurant, both of you sitting on your own. Heeseung was waiting for someone though, you knew he was, he told you later that night.Â
The dimness of the restaurant illuminated the light in his eyes, you couldnât help but look at him throughout the entire evening. Occasionally heâd look up at you too but otherwise he would play with the silverware or gaze at the marina, his chin resting on his hand.Â
On your fourth glass of wine and his almost fortieth minute waiting lonesomely, he approached you.Â
âDid you get stood up too?â
You never met a stranger so bold,
nor beautiful.
The tie around his collar was pulled loose, his cheeks were rosy, tinted by the sun's heat but still present in the night, and his eyes glossy.Â
Humbled you looked up at him, pushing the hair out of your face in an attempt to look more sober.
âNo, Iâm here on my ownâ, you laughed softly.
Heeseungâs eyes widened so prettily your mind skipped his words and remained trained on his expression while he invited himself to sit down in front of you.Â
âYouâre too pretty to be on your own?â
You laughed at his flattery, no hesitation to flutter your heart with cheap words. Were you always this weak for a handsome face?
His elbows were now resting on the table as he leaned in, showing you an intoxicating smile.
âBut I should've known, no one would stand you up.â
You swirled your glass of wine, anything to occupy your hands and line of sight.
âHave a drink with meâ, you countered.Â
Oh, what a mistake. You were beyond tipsy by the end of the night and Heeseung, who only had one drink, was perfectly sober. You remember the fabric of your dress bunched up in his hands as he carried you along the marina, your legs far too gone to walk with. He said he had a beach house nearby heâd been staying in for the past couple days, he came here often when he wanted a getaway and he could take you back with him.
Your heart dropped slightly as you wondered if he only wanted to sleep with you, but his eyes looked down at you with an expression so clear and genuine that you decided to be a fool and believe. You wrapped your arms around his neck tighter and fell into the strangers embrace,Â
âTake me back to your beach house.â
God was it a memory youâll never forget. The beach house had more windows than anything where it faced the ocean. The view faced you that night as Heeseung played old records and you slumped against the couch.Â
After a couple minutes he pulled you up by the hands and waist, asking you to dance. The floor was cold against your bare feet, the only warmth was when youâd mess up and step on Heeseungâs shoes. Spinning in circles to Francis Lai, it was slow, the kind of music that evokes a feeling of nostalgia. You swayed in his arms and thought, getting to know him more wouldnât be so bad.
In the morning you were facedown in his bed.
Alone.
The cycle began like that. You spent the days at his beach house, given mirages tinted with love wistfully contained in his nature. And every night, youâd make love.Â
You were never the kind of girl who could easily become intimate but his touch rendered you defenseless. It began with a kiss, one to your forehead, the next on your nose, and lastly your lips. It was pure softness when your lips were against one another before his tongue broke the seal, crossing the boundary between a kiss and the desire for more. What started slow and gentle became fervent and needy. His lips all over your collarbones, fingertips bruising your skin through the fabric of your dress with a firm hold, his scent reminiscent of sandalwood, it laid way to your ruin. The intensity in his touch wrinkled your dress to the point it may as well come off, only your stomach was spared any sense of modesty as he turned you over, ass in the air, knees pressed into the sheets of his bedroom. You couldnât see when he took his pants off but you felt the weight of his cock on the bottom of your back, sliding over your entrance back and forth against the wetness that with each of his movements dripped down the inside of your thighs. It was the only night he ever fucked you without foreplay. The pain of him driving into you contorted into pleasure as he continued to thrust against the most pleasurable spots with ease. You had to rub against your own clit to climax as Heeseung came inside you twice, overfilling you with cum from his pent up libido. His sex was neglectful yet addicting. Your body collapsed into the sheets, his stamina was incomparable to yours. With his mouth he cleaned up the mess between your legs, aching with sensitivity you knew youâd never be as intimate with anyone else. Your cunt was spread with his tongue, lapping against your clit to inside you with an insatiable hunger. It was as if he could never be fully satisfied. A pretty moan vibrated through his throat as he drank you up. You felt your cunt clench despite being fucked out as his mouth built up the arousal in you all over again. Instead of going for another round Heeseung laid next to you, bringing your face that was nestled in the sheets towards him while brushing your hair out of your face and kissing your lips softly with a faint bite. You could taste the mix of your own arousal and his. His heavy lidded eyes bore into you with an expression you prayed could become love. Sex and love lived separately from one another but for you the line between them was blurred. Your heart was open, bleeding onto the sheets dangerously, all he had to do was embrace it just as he embraced your body.
You fell asleep looking into his round eyes, the ones that absolved you of all rationality.
During the daytime youâd watch him walk by the shoreline. His glasses sat low on the slope of his nose and the wind blew the baggy button up exposing his clavicle. From afar he was a peaceful sight. The rising sun made him glow like he was heaven sent. So unattainable but within your reach.Â
When heâd come back to the house from his walks heâd play the piano, eat with you, read with you, lay with you, but the escape had to end at some point. Summer wasnât endless, and Heeseung was the first to go. He said you could keep staying at the beach house until the day of your flight, he left you a spare key, his phone number, and a kiss.Â
You didnât understand what exactly was between you and Heeseung that summer, it was never clearly defined, he never told you he liked you let alone loved you. He never even asked you out on a date or proposed dating.
And when you got back to your apartment he never reached out.
Truth was, neither did you. You only stared at his number, the last few texts between the both of you simple. You spent your days like this, going to work and once home daydreaming, waiting for him. His hold on your mind was debilitating. When youâd walk down the sidewalks under your umbrella you imagined him next to you in the rain. Before picking up any call you pretended itâd be his name on the screen. You saw his face in strangers who walked and moved the same, you wondered if that meant he was unique from the others but soon you realized you sought him out in every person you saw. He was a ghost following you throughout the month.Â
It was the middle of the night when he first reached out to you. Only the second time he rang your phone did you wake up and answer without even checking the contact.
âHello?â
His voice was strained, distant and nostalgic like the music heâd play.
âHeeseung?â
âSorry I've been gone for so long, but I wanted to see you.âÂ
You sat up, too groggy to fully appreciate the sound of his voice that you couldnât even imagine after how much time had passed between the two of you.Â
âWhere are you?â
His words were heavy like honey, âIâll be wherever you are.â
Soon after he was at your door, head to the sky admiring the moonlight while he waited for you to open the door.Â
Nobody knew. Nobody knew he was at your door, or about the beach house, nor how pathetically you fell into his arms. All the words you held back bundled up into a knot inside your throat and accumulated into one wish, his love.
In front of you were the eyes you cherished, now looking down at you. Fate sealed with a kiss, you let him into your space.Â
"I've missed youâ, he whispered into the crook of your neck. His face lifted to face you again, shadowed by the dimness of your apartment. His fingertips slipped between yours, lifting them to his mouth and kissing each knuckle tenderly.Â
At his three simple words you felt yourself collapse from the inside.Â
You traced his features with your free hand, the sharpness of his nose, faint flutter in his lashes, his adams apple, back up to cradle his jaw. Heeseung watched you in silence as you made him a personal spectacle. He was ephemeral, passing with the wind, you needed him lastingly.Â
âHow long will you stay?âÂ
He never answered, you just both sat on the floor by the fridge, cold knees on the hardwood. His own hands were cold as the tips of his fingers slipped beneath your thighs and snaked around your back to carry you like the day you first met.Â
The bed was only a few paces away up the loft stairs where he placed you down, now above you.Â
âAre you still mine?â He murmured.Â
Your nod was meek but Heeseung still noticed.
âThen Iâll stay forever.â
With your arms around his neck you fell into a familiar place, the one between his body and suffocated by the overwhelming nature of his allure. His pretty words, pretty face, there's no escape. His lips are featherlight on your skin, he caresses you. Heeseung adored you throughout the night, the resonance of his heartbeat against your chest like a lullaby, but in the morning as always, heâs gone.Â
His presence is wiped clean to the point you wonder if you're going insane, was it a dream while in reality he was never there? But he was, because flowers started to come to your door almost weekly, small bouquets of lilies, a notecard, H dot Lee. The flowers took up the space he left empty without explanation. You flipped the notecard hoping for a message but there was nothing. It was minimal but every bouquet at the door was a reminder that while you lost your mind and dignity over him he still thought of you. So you watered each week's lilies, placed them in the only vase you had and kept the spot in your heart open for him.
Every thought of yours about him was tinged with guilt, when you were out for brunch with your friends you found yourselves connecting the conversation to him.Â
âI think itâs obvious youâre not his main girl, he keeps you on the side.â
âYouâre telling me Iâm the other woman?â
âWell yeah, no one treats a girl they take seriously like that.â
You sipped quietly on your drink while observing the conversation.Â
Were you the other woman with Heeseung? Your stomach turned sick with speculation.Â
âWhat do you think?â, your friend asked.
âYou deserve better.âÂ
Three words easy to tell her but hard to give yourself.Â
When you got home you twirled the beach house key between your fingers. Heeseung never asked for it back, you couldâve given it yourself but you didnât. Maybe if he stopped by again you would. You watched the setting sun hit the metal through the window as it spun on the key ring back and forth.
Why couldnât he just be a bit more loving.Â
It was alright.
It was ok.
You put the key in your bedside drawer and let your head rest as you melted into memories of happier days. Heeseung left you one text a day ago, âWhen can I see you again?â
It felt foolish to answer, you wanted to see him again and he could see you anytime but you knew better.Â
If he really cared anyway heâd try harder to contact you.Â
The next morning you got ready for work in the lab, walking slowly down the sidewalks towards the bus station. The wind was crisp, beating at your back as October settled in. The summer was just a memory now.Â
The faintly sterile smell of the lab filled your nostrils as you arrived and you fell into the rhythm of centrifuging samples, pipetting, running gels, again, and again. By the end of the shift you were exhausted from the repetitiveness and said your goodbyes to your colleagues. Before you could go, Sunghoon, one of your seniors, reached out to you.Â
âSince itâs Friday everyones going out for drinks, do you wanna come?â
You usually never said yes to their offers but tonight you might as well need it.Â
All their talk at the bar went over your head, you were a lightweight, gone after just two and a half drinks.Â
Sunghoon sipped on his beer and turned to you, his thick brows furrowed into an expression of intrigue.
âAre you already drunk?â
You nodded very, very slowly. It felt like your head was ten pounds heavier. His laugh was toothy, sharp canines peaking through.
âWow, I knew you were a lightweight but the night just started.â
You laughed along at nothing, perhaps yourself. The more drinks were passed around, people talked, and you remained sat as the air became stuffy. Only more people filed in, overcrowding the place.
You tapped Sunghoon who was talking about how his PCR kept failing. He was obviously killing the mood by still bringing up the lab work he couldnât get off his mind. He turned to look down at you with a questioning look.
âCome with me to get some air.â
Sunghoon obliged, getting up and placing his hand on your back to move you through the bustling atmosphere. The moment you reached outside the air was refreshing, cold soothing your mind.Â
He leaned back against the brick and lifted his chin to the sky, looking at the almost full moon.
You looked at his side profile, the way he gazed up reminded you of Heeseung despite them not looking alike.Â
Youâve known Sunghoon for a while now though. When you first landed the job after graduation he was already there, always immersed in his work barely uttering a whisper in the lab but going on tangents constantly about work outside. It seemed to be his livelihood meanwhile you were hoping to eventually go back to school. The contrast between the two of you was stark but you still got along well, at team events you stayed close and in a simple way understood one another. Sunghoon bordered on friend and colleague. So much so that he noticed when something was off about you.
âYou seem different lately.â
You hummed, âReally, how?â
âEver since you came back from vacation you just seem more and more out of it when I see you.â
âAh, am I that much of an open book.â
Sunghoon looked back down at you.
âWhatâs going on?â
You tilted your head towards your shoulder, scratching slightly against the ridges in the brick.
To explain yourself would be to reveal the humiliating secrets that gnawed at you lately in ways they shouldnât. Sunghoon wouldnât understand anyway, he didnât understand the complexity of the emotional value things had. He viewed everything objectively.Â
So you shrugged your shoulders and spoke sobered words, âI guess Iâm just tired lately.â
âAfter vacation?â
âHey, it's been two months.â
âOk, ok. As long as youâre okay.â
âI wish I could be like you.â
Sunghoonâs eyes widened at your sudden confession.
âWhat?â
âYou know, grounded, level headed, not easily swayed.â
Sunghoon scoffed with realization, âHa, so something is wrong? You wouldnât say all that for no reason.â
âYeah, youâre a pretty shitty guyâ, you laughed.
âShut up.â
You smacked his back playfully, almost stumbling on the pavement, Sunghoon caught you by the waist before you could embarrass yourself.Â
âI forgot youâre actually drunk, Iâll take you home.â
You swung your arms up feeling the cool breeze on your skin, you were done with this outing.
âLet's go.â
Sunghoon waved down a taxi and in the backseat you stared out to the lit up city, lively in the dead of night. You looked over to see Sunghoon doing the same as were, gazing off into the blurred scenery. In silence you leaned over, letting your head rest on his shoulder. Sunghoon let out a small hum in question as you stayed in place.
âJust tell me itâll be okay,â you whispered faintly âThat it's all going to pass.â
His response was slow but genuine.
âIt all doesâ, Sunghoon answered.Â
When the cab arrived at your apartment, Sunghoon bid you farewell, you stumbled between grass and pavement until you came to your door.Â
There was a man, head in arms, sitting by the entrance, with an oh so familiar face, oh so haunting, heart wrenching really. You knelt down to face him, his big eyes locking with yours.
âHeeseung?â
He took a deep breath, looking you up and down before speaking.
âWho was that man?â
âA colleague, my friend. How long have you been here for?â
âI called you, you know. Even texted but you never answered.â
âYou donât even live around here, why are you here?â
âI wanted to see you.â
It was simple like that for him. He didnât hesitate when he wanted something like you did. So he was at your door, waiting to get what he wanted. You let him in, and he looked just as beautiful as he did that summer night. The rosiness of his cheeks were gone but his clear features all blended into one stunning mosaic. Your face was hot and tears welled up through your throat, you werenât sober enough to hold your heart back. Â
âDo you see other women?â
Heeseung leaned back on the kitchen counter, confusion washing over his expression.Â
âWhat are you talking about?â
âYou only come around when you want.â
His words fell flat.
âIâm busy.â
âBut you never say that! You never say anything.â
Heeseung looked down at the floor.
âI sent you flowers.â
You fell onto the couch, tears falling without restraint. You usually werenât like this, you were able to remain composed no matter what but it seemed everything had to shatter today. Heeseung came toward you, wiping the tears beneath your eyes with his thumbs. He let you pour them out onto his chest as he whispered fragile apologies. What did anything really mean to him?Â
Heeseung was charming, tempting, and addictive. He knew what to say and what not to say but what was truly going on inside his mind? When heâd play melodies on the piano what was he thinking, or what made him pick his favorite records? What was the reason he always had to leave?Â
âI donât want your flowers, or your beach house key, I just want you to be with me the way youâre supposed to be.â
Looking up from his tear stained chest you saw the light glimmer within his eyes, reflecting unsaid emotion.
âYou donât love me the way youâre supposed toâ, your voice broke.
Heeseung consoled you the only way he knew how, with the softness of his lips.
âThereâs no one but youâ, he muttered, âNo one.â
His touch was gentle to your aggrieved heart, only the lightest of kisses graced your face. He kissed you numb until you both fell asleep there on the couch.Â
At dawn your eyes opened to him by your side, the first time you witnessed him asleep. Thereâs a melancholy in his sleeping face, like everything caught up to him in his dreams and disturbed the peace. Just as the moonlight heâs entrancing in the sun too. Pushing the stray hairs away from his forehead you continued to cherish the sight of him.Â
The day passed by slowly, as you clung to his skin with a love that never dulled with distance or time. It was reminiscent of your days spent in the beach house, although there was no piano for Heeseung to play or vinyls to spin, only what was yours in your space. There was a slight hangover from the night before but to get through it was simple with the presence of Heeseung who you longed for devastatingly.Â
Heeseung is attentive in nature. He boils the soup for your headache with care, neatly putting every ingredient back and making sure you enjoy the taste. He smiles romantically with his teeth and eyes. The clothes he wears tend to be very baggy but the frame beneath is solid, noticeable through the layers. When the sun comes in it reveals the reddish tint in his hair. All your observations about him pile up as you sink into the couch and watch him move around you.Â
The weekend is too short, no amount of time is enough with Heeseung but your spirits are lifted embarrassingly high, so much so that Sunghoon notices. You donât tell him that Heeseung invited you up to his house in the north, or that you had one of the best weekends youâve had in a while. You wrap your love up into a secret and place it in the house on a hill.Â
The bus towards Heeseungâs house drove through mountainous valleys, covered in greenery, surprisingly lush in the month of October. Each rock and jolt of the bus made you feel alive, a similar sensation to when you began traveling on your own, except this time you had someone to go to. You know that the most formative years you spent were on your own but introducing a new face into your life taught you about sides of yourself you never had to face until the relationship. The romantic parts of you were so underdeveloped because of this, and you fell so hard, loved so passionately, hurt far too deeply. Staring at Heeseung next to you, you wondered if by the end heâd destroy you entirely or give you everything you ever wanted. Either was okay by you.Â
The house sits far up the hills, wooden and cozy. The rain is constant and so the two of you remain contained between the walls for what lasts a week. Heeseung enjoys music deeply, he plays the piano practically as soon as you arrive. Thereâs an emotion in the way Heeseung plays every opus, you hear it no matter the kind of piece. Sometimes it makes you want to cry and you donât know why. Heâll ask why your eyes have become so red and youâll have no answer other than it sounded too beautiful. To tear up would be the only proper reaction. Beautiful is a redundant word with Heeseung, it always comes to mind when heâs around. He lives and moves in beauty. It feels mythical the way he perfects everything, like poetry in motion. Thereâs parts of him revealed in the tunes, depths you canât yet make sense of.Â
But why?
Why does it hurt even when youâre happy?
Like a masochist, you drown in it.Â
Every moment feels fleeting with Heeseung even though he promises itâll last. He says youâre his girl and itâs all you wanted to hear but itâs not. Couldnât he say he loves you? Something official, cemented, real. Instead you float around in dreams he curates specially for you, and theyâre lovely. He cooks for you, even though his range is limited, he kisses you, he holds you, plays music for you, watches movies with you, but he doesnât share himself with you. Thereâs only the glimpses you see of Heeseung when he falls deeply into the music. Itâs a heavy feeling when you start to think you donât know him like you want to, and it's because he refuses to share those genuine parts that would truly connect the two of you. You hate it. But you love him. It hurts, it hurts so badly. Even if you contort yourself in a million ways, you know youâre pounding at a chained and locked door. Why is it so easy to share his body but not his soul? Are both not valuable? Heeseung holds you, he kisses you, he has eyes that adore you. His eyes adore you, rather the shell that holds you. So for the week you love him like youâre mourning him. Talk about all the things you and him will never do, turn him into a memory. Thereâs no upper hand here, youâre both such unfortunate losers. The last night at the house you watched his sleeping face. Just as before it carried an aching sorrow, so different from his smiling face in the daylight. Your tears above him looked as if they came from his own eyes, the eyes that when open carried sweetness so much so itâd be palatable on the tip of your tongue forever.Â
By the morning you were gone.
How often have you spent mornings all on your own? This bitter cycle has a sense of nostalgia to it.Â
Theyâre adding new facilities to the lab. Sunghoon is excited. Sunghoonâs PCR hasnât failed. Oh, heâs even more joyous. You walk with a weight. You donât want to ruin his happiness so you talk with Sunghoon who never lets out a word in the lab about the news. But it seems youâve created a level of transparency beyond glass when you unfortunately run into your colleague drunk on the sidewalks youâve wandered for hours you canât count. You see the happiness you wish never faded go so instantly. Heâs worried for you. Whether it was the liquor or a need deep inside of you to reveal your shortcomings you tell Sunghoon everything, how you loved where there is no love, hoped where rationality reigned, and bargained in a closed market. How you didnât ever come around for yourself but only ran away because you were afraid, afraid to see who you are when the care flickers away from his eyes and youâre left with the pathetic reflection of yourself. Scared to see who you become when the ephemeral lover disappears first.Â
Surprisingly Sunghoon is empathetic, and his words are painfully consoling.
âYou know feelings arenât just pretty metaphors. They have meaning, yet somehow you belittle them so well while at the same time trapping yourself in them. It was all real, and everything real passes. So live with the pain, and youâll wake up one day realizing itâs distant.â
âDo you know from experience?â
Sunghoon laughed, the kind of âthereâs more than youâll ever knowâ laugh.
âI think itâs inevitable.â
âI feel so stupid.â
âMaybe you are, but really itâs normal.â
You teased and talked while walking along the sidewalk until Sunghoon offered you a taxi home. You took the taxi by yourself, looking at the city while your mind ran through a million thoughts. You hadnât spoken to Heeseung for weeks at this point, even when he reached out you stared at the screen as if paralyzed. Time went on that way, hauntingly slow, and devastatingly empty without the boy you shouldnât have loved. The days carried on, almost blurring into one another but you made it through. You got ready, walked to the bus, went to work, came home, ate, slept, the cycle was keeping you on. You got ready, opened the door and saw a bouquet, lilies, H dot Lee. You were about to leave them in your place when you saw a note. Heeseung wasnât the kind to leave a note, or any sentiment really. Your heart skipped pitiably fast and immediately your hand reached to read the card.Â
âI think you hate my flowers but we havenât spoken for long. I could come to your door but I get the feeling youâre done with me since you left. I wonât ask you why, I know you to be someone who acts with reason. But you know you can come back to me whenever you like, the beach house key is yours. Thereâs not much I have to offer but all that is me is yours. Iâve loved to be loved by you and I live with love of memories from you. Just donât forget me, Iâd like this one thing.â
Your tears watered the flowers without restraint. It was a feeling so viscerally felt within you. Because if the world was yours heâd forever stay, and youâd have known him like no one else. All your shameful desires flood back and release through your reddened eyes. It resounds within you painfully. Of course you loved him more than he loved you. Youâve never been cared for the way you dreamed of. Your love has been misused, your heart is becoming blue from restlessly beating. He could've stroked your hair, maybe for a while hold you tight, no need to make love. The memories are clear of orange rays illuminating the scene of him releasing his tension within you. None of these pretty things makeup for it all.Â
A/N: a short chapter, but I wanted to continue this story sm despite how busy i am and formatting ona phone is shit. but im committed to the game. if u guys ever wanna keep in touch im on twt (luluahxo)
love u always, thank u for reading <3
summary: heeseung feeds you with his body, attention, and livelihood. and since being left behind youâve been so hungry.
youâd never bite the hand that feeds you. and this weight, itâs the weight of love. so in its presence fall.
Memories have a sick way of festering in your mind. Love still has the touch he left, because two years canât be forgotten in two months. It leaves an indelible mark on your entire being. And now you carry a piece of him that melded into you.Â
So youâre on your stomach, staring into the eyes of another man, asking him questions you never cared to before. Outside this moment he doesnât linger the same. You think if only he could overwrite every damned thing.Â
You find out Heeseung used to work a corporate job, now he runs a small cafe downtown. Heâs older than you, like Jake. And heâs never gotten his license, much like almost everyone else who grew up here. Youâre completely zoned out, twirling a lock of his hair when he asks you about yourself.
âWhat do you do for work?â
âHm?âÂ
âWhat do you do for work?â
âOh, I have two jobs. One at a convenience store and my main job is at a bank.â
He hums, falling into the touch of your hands in his hair, eyes fluttering towards sleep.Â
âBusy girl.â
You laugh quietly, staring down at his restful face before he wraps an arm around your shoulder pulling you in.
âWhy donât you sleep here?â
âI got work, if Iâm late Iâm done for.â
âIâll wake you up, what time do you needa be up?â
âLike, seven.â
âDamn, four hours? Come on sleep, Iâll wake you up.â
It doesnât take much to roll over into his arms and fade into sleep. You donât protest when he cuddles you into his side, or pulls the thin sheet over the both of you. It's comforting actually to be rested against the warmth of another. His presence feels like a balm that soothes the aches youâve acquired, it's so nice. So nice to be held.
-
Smells can make their way into your dreams. And faces thought to be forgotten are never seen more vividly than when your mind wanders to create images in your slumber.Â
It's the day he left all over again.Â
Eyes downcast, voice a sweet melody of disappointment.Â
âLet's break up.âÂ
You didnât know what to say because you didnât believe him. But he wasnât cruel in that way, Jake wouldnât joke about leaving you. Yet how come it took two years for him to know he didnât want you? Why?Â
âWhy?â
He didnât answer clearly, only short sentences served as an explanation.Â
âI think weâre better off this way.â
âBut why?â
Tears prickled at your eyes, burning through your throat, forcing you to swallow every word youâd otherwise speak through sobs if you opened your mouth again.
In this liminal dream space he comes towards you, placing a fond kiss on your forehead and going off script.Â
âAre you waiting for me to come back?â
The sensation feels so real, his words reverberate through your ears as if whispered directly against your cochlea.Â
âNo, but Iâm still here where you left me.â
âAnd if I never come back will you still be here?â
The nonexistent hand around your throat tightens. You canât speak, much less breathe.
âWhere else would I be?â you choke out.
âMoving on,â he shrugs.Â
You can only nod, falling into his arms that catch your limp, saddened body. His prominent knuckles graze the skin of your shoulder, pulling down the fabric of your shirt, revealing the mark Heeseung left.Â
âI can see youâre trying but you look like a fool when you do.â
You want to spit at him with spite, but when love and hate overlap what feeling are you left with?
âYeah, Iâve always been stupid when it comes to you. Youâre gonna let me down but Iâd still come around for you. Whyâs that?â
âYou love me,â he taunts with his thick honeyed accent, melting the nerves in your brain, dumbing you down even more.Â
Your own voice is cracking and breaking down.
âAnd you donât love me anymore?â
But youâre at the door now, just like back then, with a bag of things you kept at his place, watching the light grow more distant as he closes it on you.Â
-
What reality canât answer, imagination does.Â
Heeseung wakes you up before seven, but you sit up in the middle of his bed dazed, mind replaying your dream again and again. Heeseung is getting ready himself, coming back to see the state of you once out the shower, hair damp and pushed away revealing his forehead.Â
âWhy arenât you up?â
âHeeseung?â you murmur staring off into the distance.Â
He sits on the edge of the bed, eyebrows wrinkled in an expression of confusion.
âWhat is it?â
âI donât think we should see other people.â
Your hand comes to grab his, knowing you must sound out of your mind.Â
âHow about we just get to know each other, I donât have to be your girlfriend but what if weâre exclusive?â
Heeseungâs head cocks to the side amused, a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth.
âYou wanna be my girlfriend?â
Your mouth is agape but Heeseung makes sure you canât utter a word, lips placing a peck on your cupid's bow.Â
âI wonât see anyone else then.âÂ
He pulls you up by the waist, guiding you towards the bathroom with a palm on the small of your back.
âNow get ready.â

Sunrise in the city is one of the prettiest sights, just as is the dawning sunset in the sky when you leave work. Yet the sky has darkened and droplets of rain begin to softly land on your shoulders every other minute. It's clear in the way you drag your feet that you have no intention of making it home anytime soon
Rain pebbles down harder, the cobblestone shimmers with dampness as your heels lose traction, hiding your head under the dome of the umbrella. It feels like an illusion at first when your attention is caught by someone on the other side of the street. But here he doesnât exist behind your lids again, itâs Jake sitting across the road at a cafe beneath the awning. Even in the heat of summer he sips on a steaming cup of coffee. Youâd know so.Â
The sight almost sends you into shock but the pace of your heartbeat settles down as you take in the sight. Yet it all picks right back up when he waves at you, an ashed cigarette in one hand tapped against the ashtray and the other hand for you.Â
So classic.Â
The downpour comes at an angle, coming down on your stockings as you run across, looking both ways for the oncoming traffic of bikes and yellow cabs. When you stand in front of his table you donât sit, you simply stare. Heâs so casual, as if only one of you was ever in love. His hand gestures for you to sit and so you do, splashing droplets onto his shirt and face as you close your umbrella without shame, perhaps even a bit of bitterness.Â
âWe keep running into each other." he smiles.Â
Your laugh is nervous but you hope he canât tell, youâre running on nothing and and a whole lot of ambiguous something.Â
âI know right, I saw you just the other night.â
His chin is now in the mounting of his palm, leaning into your presence.Â
âThats actually why I called you over, Iâve been thinking since I saw you yesterday and I thought itâd be best to talk.â
You bet it's clear the way your eyes are in awe of him. It's written all over you, embedded into the muscles of your face and born in the consciousness of your soul. Itâll take a while to be sensible again, especially when you're dizzy with irrational thoughts.Â
âReally?â
âReally,â he exhales a cloud of smoke to the side. âThis city is a small one, and weâll see each other regardless. Itâs probably best to not pretend weâre strangers. We could be friends?âÂ
Your hands run down the folds of your skirt, from your lap to the buttons of your blazer that you twist before nodding to yourself.
âDo you remember the first time we met?â
The cigarette is to his lips again, that perfect pout wrapping around the tip.Â
âIs that really appropriate to ask?â
âIt was on the train when you were moving to this city. You had so much luggage. I just had my purse. I asked to bum one of those Malboros you still smoke but you refused. You said it was too bad for me. Itâs really simple, yeah? How you meet someone who's important to you. But I showed you the city and you showed me all the inner workings of your mind. Still I donât think I know you. Or Iâd know why you left.â
Jakeâs eyes narrow, bemused by your tangent.
âWhat are you getting at?â
You shrug, leaning back against the metal framing of the chair.
âIf we canât talk about how we met, and how weâre important to each other like every other âfriendâ can then we canât be friends. If we canât get rid of that weight, itâll never be appropriate.â
You canât stand to wait for a response, itâd be no good at all.Â
âBye, Jake.â
You grab your umbrella and head off home for the first time in over twenty-four hours. But itâs all coming together in your mind.Â
Jake youâre really sick , you really are. He knows the specific shifts you work at the convenience store, you were together too long for him not to, he knows this is the road where you work. He knew what he wanted you to see. He knows what heâs doing.

warnings: 18+ smut and infidelity
summary: keep praying for whats wrong and you'll get nowhere. on your own for so long you can't resist the genuine company of Jake while your husband is away, but every action has consequences
He always stood under the bridge, cradling a cigarette to his lips and exhaling into the night. You always pass by carrying your work bag, heels staccato on pebbled pavement.Â
His familiar face lit by the flame of his zippo lighter was notorious among the town, the charming Sim Jaeyun. Born with the face of a movie star, damned to the fish market owned by his family. At day his smile was bright, always eager to please and greet but at night only you witnessed his solemn expression, wore down and laid bare in the moonlight. Your spared glances lingered longer and longer each passing day. It was a routine you began to miss on your off weekends.Â
âMrs.â
The voice of your neighbor, Karina startled you as you rummaged in your cluttered purse for the keys.Â
Her round face beamed, the summer heat leaving her to wear only a strappy night dress. You werenât sure what kind of feeling gnawed at you every time you saw your neighbor. Only two years your junior the sweetly beautiful lady had slim long legs, back barren and spared any blemish. The perfection of her supple skin and doll-like eyes brewed a mix of admiration and jealousy. A free and single Bardot.Â
âMrs. I noticed your husband hasnât been back for a while. It must be lonely these days, do you want to share dinner? I ended up cooking too large a serving tonight.âÂ
Unfair really how the beauty of her face seeped into her soul as well.
âIâd love to.âÂ
You drop your heels by the welcome mat, following her to the kitchen where the small round table was set with two plates. Putting on mitts to lift the steaming lid Karina begins to complain in your favor to you.
âItâs really cruel of Jay to just leave you like that, I know he has to work but does he know he has a wife at home?â
You allow yourself to sit down, sipping at the placed glass of water.
âI went into marrying him knowing heâd be busy, Iâm used to it.â
Steamed vegetables are scooped onto your plate, and the savory aroma of chicken fills your senses from the pot.Â
âYeah but his trips just keep getting longer.â
âI keep myself occupied, itâs okay.â
Karina sighs, only filling your plate up more.
âEat some chicken.â
-
âHe might as well be dead.âÂ
Karinaâs words linger in your mind as you move mindlessly through the market crowds.Â
âIsnât marriage about the company of your spouse? Whatâs marriage all alone?â
Her concern came off more as criticism, but Karina was blunt with her worry in that way.Â
Your thoughts are muted at the sight of an all too reckoning and alluring face. Front and center, selling fish, Jaeyun.Â
You donât even really eat fish but your feet wander over, hand tight on the strap of your handbag.Â
Making intense eye contact with the dead fish you point at one.Â
âCould you clean and fillet a tilapia for me?â
When you look up, his eyes are scanning over the figure of your appearance.Â
âOf course.â
You watch the lean muscles of his arms flex through the baggy sleeves of his white shirt, smoothly cleaning the fish, bagging, and weighing it for you.Â
âDinner for your husband coming home today?â
Your laugh is breathy, hands brushing against each other when you pass the change.
âNot yet, just wanted to try cooking today.â
âI see.â he comments, teeth flashing in his polite smile, welcoming goodbye.Â
âThank you.â
You donât even like fish.Â
-
The summer sun has long set by the time your boss lets you go, the entire company is quiet. Just you, the lone secretary, packing her things.Â
If he was home would he come pick you up in his car? Walk you under his umbrella if it rained?Â
What did it matter, you were still walking down the dark streets alone.Â
Your back is slumped against the sodium street lamp, staring at Jayâs contact, finger absent mindedly hovering before you press call.
The line rings for a while but he does pick up.Â
âHello? Is everything okay?â
You swing your bag, skirt hiking up as you fall deeper into the support of the lamp pole.Â
âEverythingâs okay, are you busy?â
âAlways, was there something you needed?â
âJust missed you,â you mutter weakly with a sigh.
Your voice overlaps with his warm laugh.
âCome back, I miss you Jay. When are you coming back?â
You hear the sound of his chair swivel faintly over the call.
âNot anytime soon honey. But let me make it up to you. What can I bring you?â
You donât understand why tears prickle at your eyes, you know heâs busy. Work canât be set aside but you feel rejected.
âNothing Jay. Just bring yourself home soon.â
âYou know I will honey,â he says, a smile evident in his voice. âMaybe Iâll get you earrings to frame that pretty face of yours. Sleep well honey, goodbye.â
âBye.â
You stare at the screen before shoving your phone away, startled by a voice and fixing your posture to stand straight. From across the road, on the parallel sidewalk, the voice calls to you.
âNo âI love youâ?â
Spinning around, youâre greeted by the jaded Jaeyun huffing a cloud of smoke, cigarette perched between two fingers and smoked to the filter.Â
âYouâll kill yourself like that.â you spit back, âItâs not cute to smoke.â
Jaeyun cocks his head to the side, maneuvering his bangs away from shadowing his eyes.
âI wasnât trying to be.â
Walking onto the road he comes toward you, littering the cigarette butt on his way.
âI always see you walking here. Itâs not safe to walk alone at night. Let me walk you home.â
âIâm fine alone.â
âYou always seem to be.â he remarks quickly.Â
You walk off dismissing his remarks, the soft hearted Jaeyun seems to have an attitude with you, opposite from his morning demeanor.Â
You walk for a while before realizing heâs been following you the entire time in silence. On the sidewalk you turn on your heel facing him, hands in his pockets strolling without a care.
âWhy bother following me.â
He clicks his tongue against the roof of his mouth, eyes dropping down on you.
âI told you itâs not safe, Iâm not joking Miss.â
âYou could call me Mrs. Park, Jaeyun.â
âYou could call me Jake.â
âJake?â
âThatâs what everyone called me back in Australia.â
You donât even notice when youâre walking again, attention taken by the conversation, and the memorized path home not needing much of it.
âWhat took you away from Australia?â
âNo oneâs there except my mom and brother. I came over so long ago I canât even remember when to help my dad and uncle out.âÂ
âSo whenâs the last time you saw them?â
He takes a deep breath, going silent in thought.
âMaybe the last time was in middle school.â
âI came here for an almost similar reason to you. I got married, moved to live with my husband, and start a family at the price of leaving my own. But I donât see much of anyone anymore.â
Jakeâs step falls into rhythm right beside yours.
âIt must be in that house.â
âIt must be lonely to be so far away from home for so long,â you refute.
âI got my dad.â
Your eyes flicker upwards to run over the profile of his enigmatic face.
âThat must not be all you want though.â
His eyes catch yours, a silent nod affirming your words to be right.Â
The walk home is quick with Jake beside you, you find yourself turning the lock of your door while heâs still behind you, casting a shadow on the door frame.
âI could walk you home tomorrow as well Mrs.â he says as you take the keys out.
You turn to face his moonlit eyes, soft and receptive. The hesitation in your demeanor is clear but Jake intervenes the possibility of rejection.Â
âYouâd be doing me a favor.Â
What favor youâd be doing him you donât know, but itâs enough for you to accept.
âYeah, itâd be nice if you could.â
With a wave he turns on his heel and becomes a blur in the night.Â
Itâs so quiet in the dark walls of your house, it feels like every noise echoes. From the sound of you taking off your shoes, to setting your bag on the side table by the door, it all swallows you up. You wilt into the couch, bare knees scratching on the rough fabric. But itâs comfortable to sit there and fall into something.Â
-
They say youâve wasted your time, and with the seasons that pass the seedling of regret within is endlessly nurtured to the point it can withstand the harshest of winters. In this sweltering summer it reaches full bloom.Â
You ignore the pit in your stomach as you place your things down in your cubicle, passingly observing the others you work with. No one talks much, theyâre focused intentively on work. Itâs the opposite though on lunch break. Talk runs rampant and opinions run loose. Youâre no fool to not see the awkward glances of your coworkers at the topic of anything romantic. Youâve overheard some of what they have to say about you. A wasted woman, at work and not even pregnant yet. Maybe youâre infertile and that's why your husband is never home. Perhaps youâre on the brink of divorce. That long from home, he must be cheating. It all swarms your head until youâre seated in the quiet again, typing away.Â
It's not like you're the hot topic, youâve heard word spread about plenty of people. Mr. Rogerâs six month flu, how the mail man keeps dropping packages off at the wrong house, the men who come in and out of Karinaâs house, and the stench of weed emanating from the new neighbors on seventh street.Â
But you care about yourself the most so you're sensitive to the words.
So when you see Jake at that familiar spot waiting for you it becomes a comfort, a balm in the face of the long winded day. Youâre the one who walks towards him, shy of smoke that escapes his lips hitting your face.Â
âI wonder what color your lungs are,â you ponder out loud.
Jake just rolls his eyes, reaching for the hefty bag on your shoulder to carry it himself.Â
âBut I still look good donât I?â
You scoff at his blatant disregard for his health,
âOnly on the outside.â
His laugh in response is juvenile, clear joy in being perceived as good looking at the cost of his well being. Isnât that something?Â
âYou look good too,â he mutters, making your eyes widen.Â
When you turn around his whisper barely audible, only heard by himself.
âReally, you're pretty.â
Soon after your head is spinning around again, lips tight, eager to ask a question.
âDo you ever hear gossip?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âLike town gossip. Maybe something about my husband or me.â
Only the sound of your shoes resound until he answers.
âNo.â
âYouâre lying.â you quickly spout.Â
âMaybe that youâre divorcing but that's it.â
Your eyes bore into his not yet sure of his honesty.
"That's it?â
âAre you divorcing?â he evades.
You turn back around.
âMe and my husband are perfectly fine.â
âAnd you love him?â
âI love him.â
A chill runs down your back, opening the front door and not saying a word when he invites himself in.
His figure looms over you as you bend your knee up behind you and reach for the back of your shoe. Jake pulls out a pack branded âDouble Happiness,â the red filter tip catching your eye and your heels stay on.Â
âGive it to me,â you gesture.
His eyebrow arches high, disapproval on his face.
âNo.â
âWhy not, you do it and Iâm older than you.â
The expression on his face is pained for a reason you canât understand nor do you bother to. Youâll think of him later.Â
He relents, passing the pack to you watching as you place the wrong end in your mouth and flips it for you. The brass of his zippo lighter flicks open, lighting you up. You inhale slowly, feeling a scratchiness at your throat before and even slower release. Jake stands in front of you, almost cornering your back against the wall.
âIâm not ready to have a child.â you speak without context. Jake just nods at you, eyes soft with patience .Â
âIâm still only in my twenties. I donât even know if I lived yet or if I rushed into everything. Do you know who you are yet?â you ask.
He shakes his head, pursing his lips before answering.Â
âI donât think Iâve experienced enough yet to know.â
âBut they think the reason Iâm not pregnant already is because Iâm infertile.â your voice cracks realizing youâre oversharing. âWhy do they care? And why do I care that they care?âÂ
You lean back against the door, eyes looking up to the ceiling.Â
âI donât know.âÂ
âNone of it is simple,â Jake comforts you. You meet his eyes once more, never separating as the cig ashes.Â
Warmth hits your cheeks but it's wiped away by the greater heat of his calloused hands, thick knuckles leaving invisible scars on your skin.Â
Even as the image of his face blurs and shifts into two your eyes remain steadied on him. You havenât felt this in a long time. It almost feeds the deepest core of your soul when you feel the softness of lips against yours, placing a modest kiss. One kiss becomes two, and two kisses become the sensation of his devilish tongue. You fall into him, lips moving with eager rhythm before you wake up from the drunk daze of sadness and self pity. But there's nowhere to go. When you back up your back is already flush against the door.Â
Your heavy breaths fill up the corridor, guilt flooding into your bones, starting at your feet and tingling up to the cavity of your chest. When you turn away his lips are ticking the arch of your cheekbone.Â
âGo home Jake.âÂ
With downcast eyes he doesnât move, still processing what heâs done he simply nods.Â
âWill I see you tomorrow?â
From the corner of your eye you look at him. The pitiful puppy expression in his gaze is enmeshed with rabid hunger, only showing when no light reflects in his iris.Â
âGo home.â
When the sound of the door closing behind him raptures the silence you crumble to the floor. The walls seem to echo and yell back at you.
-
You avoid him but your eyes seem to always scan every face looking for him. Itâs debilitating the way he overrides the rationality you held on so tightly to. You love your husband, you would never become an infidel. So when you fatefully get off of work the next night you call a cab. The fare is inconvenient but some distance from Jake would be good for you. That's what you hope.Â
Your fingertips pick at the velvety fabric of the taxi seat while staring out the window.Â
âCould you take the route under the bridge?â you request.Â
It's the long way. Down the winding roads the scenery comes into view, a constant Jake waiting, anxiously messing with his lighter. But his reflexes are quick and the speed limit is quite low in this area. He waves the taxi down almost immediately. You didnât pay for the empty seats so when Jake asks for a ride in the same direction the driver must think he struck gold at this ungodly hour of night and obliges.Â
The wheels rolling on rocks and gravel make the ride a bumpy one. Your hands pick more aggressively at the seat, head completely turned to look out the window and admonish him from your sight.Â
You donât see that his attention is faced away from you as well but his hand inches closer. The magnet is your presence and Jake canât fight the need to feel it in some fraction of a way. His index rests upon your middle finger. When you donât move away he interlocks them, his entire hand wrapping around yours.
When he gets off before you donât question it.
When heâs waiting near your house once the taxi drops you off you don't question it.
When heâs inside your house again youâre regretting it.Â
âI got to see you again,â he says softly.Â
âThey donât see you much at home do they,â you answer walking past him to the living room.Â
âMiss.â he grabs your wrist, forcing you to turn around.
âDo you actually love him? Your husband.â
Itâs all become so messy.
âI do. Heâs never done me wrong, why would I not.â
âBut he leaves you.â
âItâs not his choice, he has to work.â
âMiss.â
You scoff at the darkness, shaking your head to yourself.
âI donât even know why I let you in. People are going to notice, theyâll see. And Iâll lose a whole lot more than I already have.â
Jake's voice becomes strained, fed up with your anxiety about others.
âI can take care of you. A whole lot better than he ever has.â
âYou donât understand what youâre saying.â
âDivorce him.â
You pull away from his grip, stumbling back against the shoulder of the couch.
âNo. No, what are you saying?â
âYouâve already betrayed him.â
His hands come up to brush the hair away from your face.
âYou did when you kissed me back last night and when you let my hand hold yours tonight.â
âAre you blackmailing me?â
Jakeâs expression immediately contorts into a pained one, offense washing over his features.
âIâd never do that. I told you I care about you.â
His touch falls from your hair, to your shoulders, and down to a palm on your thigh.Â
âIâm honest with you.â
âReally?â
âReally.â
His arms embrace in a tight hold, suffocating you in admiration and tenderness.Â
âItâs okay, Iâll wait.â he whispers against your ear drum.Â
You sit there in his hold, your own arms wrapping around his core, thin yet sturdy.Â
But what are you waiting for?
You shift in his arms, looking through lashes into his eyes before asking him to simply lay with you. You guide him to the bedroom you share with Jay, the sheets neatly tucked in, dresser a dark oak of his choice and one of his suits still hanging on the closet door in a dry cleaning bag. Jake pulls the edge of the sheet, allowing you to crawl in after kicking off your heels. He covers you up to the shoulders before sitting on top, arm cradling your back against his chest. The shallow thrum of his heart becomes a soothing melody and his breath is felt against your scalp. The both of you sit in the quiet not entirely awake nor asleep for hours into the night.Â
It mustâve all gone bad the moment you were excited to see his face.Â
-
Heâs still the smiling face at the fish market, only known by one name. It turns out no one else knows of his Australian name. You knowing is one of many secrets the two of you keep. The bond of secrecy seems to be a strong and damning one. Your feet are back to the counter where he stands, now not buying tilapia but salmon.Â
âDinner for your husband?â Jaeyun asks. The sunlight creates a sticky caramel brown in his iris, almost palatable on the tongue and falling like drops onto yours. Lost in the persistent eye contact you take a moment to formulate back words.
âIt actually is, heâs back by noon tomorrow.â
The raise of his eyebrows is blatant.
âAmazing.â
âExciting.â
âEnjoy.â
When the plastic bag is passed into your hands he sneaks a brief hold on your wrist. But like a gust of wind, in no time you're released and walking far away.Â
You welcome Jay home with a warm meal the next day, and he greets you with jade earrings hanging from small gold hoops. His kiss is a brief peck on your lips, his eyes tired and his complaints many.Â
Over dinner you pick at the salmon as you watch him eat, satisfied by your cooking. Something twists within your chest, an accumulation of guilt and debt.Â
âJay, what do you think about starting a family now?â
His eyes light up at the topic, flashing a smile at you once he finishes chewing.
âYou finally want to?â
âIâve been thinking about it.â you hum.
Finished with his meal and abandoning his empty plate Jay walks over to you, holding either side of your face with one hand before placing a passionate kiss onto your lips.
âThen itâs decided.â
You smile, feeling happy to provide him with at least this joy.
Itâs the next day when you go for a walk and see the elementary school letting out, kids running to the bus or down the street, backpacks half their size on their back that you think perhaps you owe him this one thing. And with this one thing hopefully you could be happy in this matrimony again.Â
When you get home you change your everyday diamonds for the jade earrings Jay bought you. They hang heavy on your ears, but as he predicted they frame your face beautifully.Â
Even though your husband was back from working abroad his schedule remained busy and you continued to walk home from work every night. That corner under the bridge belonged to Jake and despite the two of you not talking for several days his jaded gaze always flickered over to you and shimmered with a new found life.Â
Once walking home he finally approached you once more, hands behind his back and bangs shadowing his face.Â
âYouâre obedient.â
You donât spare him a glance, walking onwards.
âTo whom?â
âThe man you lie about loving.â
The faint scent of cigarette smoke mingles on his breath as he speaks once more, a hand playing with the jade stone of your earrings.
âIs this why you stay?â
You shrug him off harshly, perhaps with the entitlement that you know heâll stay despite your bad attitude that allows you to absolve the guilt.Â
âI stay because I want to. What do you want?â
âFor you to let me take you somewhere.â
He clicks his tongue on the roof of his mouth, seeing the patience dwindle in you.
âJust quickly.â
Where he takes you is a shed, welcoming the opening of the forest by one of the rivers the fish are sourced from. A cot is in the corner and when you ask Jake reveals he spends some nights here. He finds it the best place to be away from home if needed. The light is a dim warm yellow, casting a glow on his smooth features.Â
His beauty is fatal.
âWeâre trying.â
Jake doesnât understand you at first, allowing you to sit on the cot low to the floor next to him.
âWhat?â
âLike for a child.â
âYou and him?â
His scoffs echoes in the small space dizzying you.
âYou seem to only be good at doing things you donât want to. What are you sacrificing yourself for?â
You donât know how to say itâs not like that when it is.Â
It's a brief second before heâs ripping the earrings from your lobe, the pain sears to your jaw and the sound of your shock wonât be heard for miles. On your back you look up to him holding the bloodied jewelry in his hands.Â
âYou know youâre better than this.â his voice cracks. âOr maybe Iâm alone here with my feelings for you.Â
But can you really say you love him and itâs the right thing to have his child after all of this? I canât even tell who youâre lying to anymore.â
The fact is clear. None of you are honest with each other, you're not even honest with yourself. His kiss came down like harsh pellets of rain, one on your left cheek, then one on the right.
âItâs alright if you lie to me. Iâll forgive you. But you should be better to yourself.â
Your body shook beneath him, the unconditional affection sending shivers up your spine. You soon forgot the blood pooling under your ears as both of your bodies enmeshed into a mess of one.Â
All your senses seem to close off just to focus on the sensation of his loving touch, lips trailing from your lips to your jaw and finding a final destination down at the bare skin of your thigh, exposed beneath the hiked up fabric of your skirt. His wide eyes meet yours as he cradles his cheek against the inside of your thigh, finding comfort in and desire in your warmth. Like a wounded puppy he caresses your skin in apology. You should be mad at the injury of your ear lobes or the way he touches you despite knowing you're married. But in this moment you just want to make him the happiest person and give him everything he needs. So your legs are spread open, resting on his shoulders as his nose nuzzles the newfound wetness like you were a naiad. You throw your head back as his mouth ravages the slick. His tongue laps like itâs his first meal in years, the sustenance heâll need to go on. Your gut winds in a knot of pleasure and anxiety the more his thumbs press into your skin and his nose bumps back and forth against your clit. Biting your lip to silence yourself your fingertips intertwine in the thick locks of his hair. The sensation makes him go even harder, making you all the more sensitive. You reach your climax far too quickly. Your husband never goes down on you despite you doing it for him and it feels like you haven't been this stimulated in forever. Jake doesnât stop you when your legs tremble and tighten around his head suffocatingly so. In reality the tightness turns him on even more, imaging how warmly your hole could wrap around his cock. Just as the thought crosses his mind you come into his mouth, slick leaving sheen over his nose and chin. He readily cleans it up, moaning as your cunt seems to become wetter by the moment. Sitting up between your legs Jake looks down at you with glossy eyes, teasing the redness in your cheeks spreading down your neck.Â
âNo one can hear us here, no need to try being quiet.âÂ
He licks his lips before crashing them onto yours. He pulls the air from your lungs and as you go lightheaded you feel the warmth of his clothed hard on pressing against your stomach. Your hands slip beneath him to release him from his slacks, the reddened tip of his dick leaking precum onto right at his belly button, and his gasp landing on your collarbone as the air hits him.Â
âAre you sure?â
You pull him down for a quick reassuring kiss.
âIâm sure.â
When he aligns himself and enters heat trickles from your core up to your shoulders. You donât hold back anymore and cry out loud. The stretch is new and intoxicating. Jake buries his face in the crook of your neck, his free hand wandering along the edges of your body and occasionally groping your chest beneath your shirt. Youâre climaxing for the second time when you feel searing hot heat dampen your shoulder. Jake is hiding his face but his words make it clear as he chokes them out.
âDonât go back to him, donât go.â
âJake.â you coo, âJake, Jake.â
His red rimmed eyes look up at you, a single tear gracing the slope of his cheekbone and running down his chin.
âI love you, so be with me.â
You cradle his face with your palm, choking on your own words before he releases in you, panting and collapsing against your body melodramatically.
As his eyes flutter shut you whisper against the crown of his head into the mess of hair. What a messy yet simple thing love is.
âI love you too.â
-
The walk home is shameful. You sway in your heels, Jake following far enough to not be seen but make sure you're safe. Your body feels rubbed raw and drowsy with sleep, so you're relieved once you get back to your street, the street lights illuminating the house down the block that belongs to you and Jay.Â
But your heart jumps inside your chest when you see movement in front of your neighbors house, Karina. The front door slowly swings open as you go to hide, a tall figure emerging in front of the small familiar frame of Karina. Her white cheeks, glowing rouge in the night, catch your eye as she looks up at the man in front of her who anxiously looks both ways before walking through the grass to the house next door. Your house. Itâs Jay, your husband coming out during the dead of night from your neighbors house. His collar is a mess, hair tousled as he enters your home. You look back at Jake whose hands are in his pocket giving you a look of pity. Yet you were no one to be pitied. You had made love to another man without ever knowing Jay had an affair. The shock fizzles out into a feeling of acceptance. The both of you were now equal and the debt repaid. You kept your head low as you walked down the sidewalk to your front door far too late into the night.Â
When you walk in you hear the shower running upstairs. Slipping through the bedroom door you shed your work clothes and pull over a nightgown before slipping into bed. Jay soon comes out a towel wrapped around his waist, walking towards the bed.Â
âWhy are you home so late?â he questions.Â
You roll over onto your back already falling into slumber to come up with an excuse but he beats you to it.
âAnd your ears are all bloody? What happened?â
Youâd completely forgotten about Jake tearing out your earrings, becoming numb to the pain in them.Â
âI was-,â you stutter but Jay doesnât for a second presume youâre lying. âI was robbed on my way home from work.âÂ
His large hand cups your ears, placing a kiss on your forehead before shaking his head in concern.Â
âThey took your earrings.â He pecks your forehead one more time before standing up straight. âWeâll go to the police station in the morning, Iâll go get some disinfectant for your ears.â
As he turns around you reach for his wrist urging him to not go to the station.
âNo, no you donât need to go to the police. I didn't even see who robbed me, it was so dark.â
He simply shakes you off, going back towards the bathroom to the cabinet.
âNonsense.â
You canât explain it to him when he comes back and pesters you with questions but your shoulders are trembling as you cry into bedsheets. It burns as penance when he cleans your ears and you sleep with tear stained cheeks.Â
-
Itâs become talk, the possibility of a criminal living among everyone in town. Every pawn shop and jewelry store is questioned about anyone attempting to sell off a pair of jade earrings and as the search continues panic settles in. You donât know what Jake has done with the earrings and you canât ask him. Your husband wonât let you walk home from work anymore, now giving you the taxi fare every morning before he comes to work. And with the extra eyes on you, you donât dare share a ride with Jake.Â
As you leave for work Karina is in her front yard, gardening the colorful flowers in bloom.Â
âMrs.!â
You give her a smile, and you canât explain it but there seems to not be an ounce of hostility in your heart towards her. Rather the envy has festered deeper and you wonder what your husband gets from her he doesnât from you all the while being thankful that she gave you a mental out.Â
âYour summer flowers are beautiful,â you comment. Her smile grows even wider, filling up the small roundness of her face.
âYou like them young. These just finally bloomed two days ago. Their season is short.â
You laugh at her bizarre wording before heading off, she always has a strange way of phrasing things.Â
That night in the taxi you donât see Jake in his usual spot. You feel strange looking at it.Â
By the time you get home at night your husband is waiting for you on the couch, a bright grin on his face.Â
âHi honey!âÂ
âYouâre in a good mood,â you muse.Â
âCome here.â
You oblige and sit by him on the couch, and just as you do from his pocket he pulls out the gold hoops that once sat in your ears, now in his palm.Â
âHow?â you gape.
With a cocky smirk Jay tells you the story of how the earrings were found in the Sim family shed, drops of blood led them to lift the cot where they were tucked under. The tip came from some people who had seen âJaeyunâ trailing behind you at night and when the family was brought in for questioning he readily admitted.Â
Your lips quiver as you trip over your words.
âBut-â
âI know everyone said he seemed like such an honest boy, but he must've needed some extra cash. He has a really nasty smoking habit I heard.â
Jay pulls you into his side where you sit in a daze staring at the walls that once witnessed the innocence of his heart and the filth of your selfishness.Â
âHow long.â
âThey went pretty light on him since heâs young, two years.â
âAnd who tipped the police off exactly?â
Jay raises an eyebrow at your question but answers anyway.
âA taxi driver and Karina.â
âKarina?â
âSaid she saw him follow you close to home some nights. And you had no idea.â
Jay pulls you even closer, resting his chin on your forehead.
âDonât worry, I wonât let you ever be in danger again.â
-
Heâs no longer the smiling face at the fish stand. And the boy is replaced by another who busily works selling to the town. His presence has been vacant for over two years now. You stand in the crowds always looking to see if heâll be back, lingering somewhere. A small hand pulls on yours bringing you back to reality.Â
âMama, fish.â
You lift your son up in your arms, holding him at your side.Â
âYeah, you like fish?â
You take your sonâs stunted words as an excuse to walk over, seeing who you presume to be a family member pass by.
âExcuse me?â
His tired eyes go to yours, coming over offering help.
âI just had a question, does Sim Jaeyun still work here?â
The man simply sighs, drying his hands with a towel while shaking his head.
âNah, after his sentence he went back to Australia.â
âOh, I see.â
âYeah you donât gotta worry.â The old man smiles when he sees the child in your arms. âAnd whoâs this one?â
âMy son, Jake.â
You notice the way the manâs eyes dim, the taught lines of his mouth creasing deeper.
âA lovely name.â
His presence is just a ghost now, a mere shadow that lines the walls under the bridge and behind the market stand. A light gone at your expense. With the words maybe better off never said âI meant it when I told you I loved you.â

Lost in your thoughts, hand on cheek, a figure comes into your peripheral and the jingle of jewelry sounds as someone sits beside you, a strong smell of wood and jasmine filling your senses. When you look over the colorful glass of the ornate drink bar reflects onto the manâs features, creating a strong glow of red. His eyes are cast on you, deep and seeping into your being. It feels like his eye contact without a waver relents.Â
The man is strangely beautiful, smooth skin, lips flush and pink, and a glow across his cheeks. Every sharp feature of his face, jaw, nose, cupid's bow, bring an emphasis to the softness in the shape of his eyes. Itâs like a doeâs but a carnality is present.Â
He almost reminds you of Jake.Â
Almost.Â
Before he can speak you're talking as if youâre the one who approached him.
âCan I buy you a drink?â
He laughs.
He laughs a sweet, beautiful laugh, almost as if his voice is honey. You could call it singing.

His kiss carries an apology for things heâll never admit to. You tremble under his cold fingertips, tracing circles on your skin again and again, entrancingly.Â
You have to take the moment to catch your breath when you push up against the door, fumbling with the doorknob to lock it. Heaving unsteady breaths he shushes you by pressing his lips back against yours and shoving you down onto the bed. In an oasis of Egyptian cotton and his scent. His face looms over yours, sharp features and ebony colored hair vibrant against the contrast of the white ceiling and sheets.Â
His thumb comes to your mouth, pursing it shut as he whispers with a smile, flashing his canines.
âDonât you know how to keep a secret? Even your breaths are loud.â
His face falls into the crook of your neck, placing kisses and licking your skin with a slight bite making you whine before speaking to you once more.
âI just get you too excited donât I?â
His voice carried sweet sin, one you nuzzled in the face of. Â
âItâd be nice to hear you scream,â he continues âlet them hear the mess you are when youâre mine.âÂ
âToo bad we canât all get what we want,â he says with an edge in his voice before harshly thrusting his fingers down your throat to keep you silent. The defined tip of his nose grazes your abdomen as he slides down and settles at your core where he rubs with his free hand back and forth, stimulating you even more. Itâs not long before heâs pushing your dress up and panties to the side, getting a taste of the heaven between your thighs. Your back arches involuntarily, and youâre shaking your head, not because you donât want it but because he knows better than to do this now.Â
The fun is interrupted when you hear the familiar voice of your father from downstairs, asking why the two of you arenât ready to leave yet.Â
He rises from his place between your legs and removes his saliva soaked fingertips from your lips.Â
The smirk on his face is agitating, and you push him off of you, speaking before he can when you see yourself in the mirror.
âDamn, you made a mess of my makeup, Sunghoon.â He just shrugs looking over his shoulder at your reflection, readjusting your dress on your hips and wiping the smudged lipgloss on your chin.Â
Soon heâs behind you smoothing the back of your dress down over the curve of your ass.Â
âStop acting like you mind.â
Without another word he unlocks the door and heads downstairs to entertain your dad in conversation so that she doesnât notice you both came down from his room. You take the time to comb through your hair and take a look at yourself one more time.Â
At the door Sunghoon is swinging his keys around his finger, you give a hug to your dad before stepping out into the young night and Sunghoonâs car. You look at the time displayed and sigh, buckling your seatbelt.
âI think weâre already gonna be late.â
âWe can just not go at all?â he jokes.
âYou wish.â
âBut your friends wanna meet me right?âÂ
He leans into your side, knowing no one can see the two of you right now and nips at your ear.
âWanna introduce your little step brother donât you?â
âTwo years makes you little now?â
âI just like to tease you,â he moves back into place and begins to drive.
The venue of your friendâs engagement party is truly beautiful, each table lit with a candle and a stunning chandelier in the middle of the room illuminating the flower decorations. When inside Sunghoonâs demeanor changes to the one who displays in front of strangers, sometimes even those closer to him. A reserved man with a cold face, only saved by his beauty. You find the table with your name cards, where your friends are already sitting and give each of them a hug before turning to Sunghoon, who is still standing, hands in his pockets, to introduce him. Your dad remarried four years ago when Sunghoon had first began college and you were already in your junior year. Once you began working you moved your dad in with you and subsequently your step mother since he was older than the average father, living off of retirement. Of course that meant for the breaks and summers Sunghoon came to your house. You couldnât comprehend someone so old was still looking for marriage and now you had a heavy weight of responsibility to handle. Now that Sunghoon has also graduated and begun working he helps so maybe itâs not so bad. It really wasnât even the worst of it. The worst was you were supposed to see this random boy as your brother and you never did, it felt more like two strangers being brought together for a shared reason. But in everyone's eyes you were brother and sister. It made you feel sick, with guilt, disgust, and most of all hopeless desire. Because behind closed doors youâd fall into his arms again and again. There was really something wrong with the two of you. And in that shared sickness you clung to one another even tighter.Â
Smiling in the face of your friends picked at the food before feeling a hand on your shoulder, greeted by a familiar face. One you didnât particularly want to see.Â
The face of your ex.Â
âHeeseung, nice to see you!â you lie through your teeth.Â
He gives you a warm smile, one that negates time.
âItâs great to see you too.â
The pause between both of you is awkward until he breaks the silence once more.
âHow about we get a drink and catch up?â
You briefly look over to your friends and then Sunghoon whose expression is almost bitter.Â
âAlright.â
You follow behind, taking in your surroundings to avoid staring at the back of his head, dark red hair reflecting in the dim light.Â
When you get to the bar Heeseung gestures for you to sit, quickly ordering a drink for the both of you.Â
âItâs nice to see you after all this time.â
He stares down at the glass heâs just been served, doing anything but drinking.
âIt almost feels like fate.â
Your heart weighs heavily in your chest at his words, eyes now set on his timid expression.Â
Heeseung was never a bad boyfriend, the problem was you really. The relationship so ideal between the two of you couldnât be maintained when in reality he wasnât the only one. So when you ended things Hesseung was left with a thousand unanswered questions.Â
You feel a warmth in your cheeks. Really you're fond of Heeseung but the normalcy you craved that he could give you wasnât enough. In reality your appetite would never be satiated.Â
âItâs good to see a familiar face,â you comment, "Especially one as sweet as yours.â
You immediately down most of your drink after your words, leaving Heeseung a giggling mess. Heâs shy around you after all this time. He was once so bold. It feels like now you admire him with a bittersweetness to it. You adjust yourself in your seat, sneaking a look towards the table where Sunghoon has now vanished from but it doesnât take you long to find him again, off in a corner where his eyes gleam, dark and trained on you. Heâs holding his cup of water, pretending to mix with the many others walking around.Â
You avoid eye contact, focusing back on your conversation with Heeseung.Â
âSo what do you do for work now?â
He smiles at the personal question, leaning in slightly.
âI just got my CPA, so Iâm hoping I can be a manager at Deloitte since Iâve already been working with them.â
âAre you serious? Thatâs amazing. I still remember you freaking out about getting an internship.â
âThanks,â he blushes, âHowâs things going for you?â
âIâm just a financial analyst right now. But itâs good enough money to take care of my family with.â
âOh yeah, your brother, how's he doing?â
At his question you canât keep your eyes on him and instead stare at the bartender working busily.Â
âHeâs great, helps me with our parents. Really helps lift the weight that was all on me. Heâs actually here tonight.â
Heeseung pauses before speaking.
âActually, being here makes me think about how Iâd like to settle down soon.â
âOoh, you got someone Hee?â
At the old nickname he looks at you, sharing a smile with his eyes, one you reciprocate.Â
âNah, no one since you.â
You rest your cheek on your palm, silence filling the space between the two of you until Heeseung breaks it.
âYou know I miss you, Iâve missed you all this time.â
âHeeseung-â you're stunned by such simple words, words said with no expectations but so genuine you feel as if they do. His hand is now on yours, reassuring you.
âItâs ok, I donât expect anything from you. Letâs just enjoy this night together.âÂ
You nod, holding his hand back in response, giving it a slight squeeze.
You spend the night celebrating the engagement with your friends and Heeseung, deciding to throw away the lingering thoughts in your mind that could ruin you enjoying the night. But you notice Sunghoon has made himself scarce throughout the night and you havenât seen him in a while. Youâre a little wasted, stumbling through the mass of guests looking for Sunghoon. You bump into strangers, murmuring apologies, not seeing even a glimpse of him. You find a corner where you stand texting Sunghoon but he doesnât answer so you call. The line rings but he doesnât pick up. You wander aimlessly until you run into Heeseung again.Â
âLooking for someone?â he questions.
âYeah,â you sigh, âSunghoon but I canât find him anywhere and heâs not answering so we can go home.â
âYour brother? Maybe heâs outside. I can give you a ride if you need.â
Right as you consider the offer a hand rests on the top of your head.
âHey Heeseung. Thanks but Iâll take my sister home.â
You immediately turn around frustrated.
âWhy didnât you pick up the phone?â
When you meet Sunghoonâs gaze his eyes look at you with a tinge of anger but his voice sounds relaxed.
âSorry, I was taking a smoke break.â
You make a face at him knowing he doesnât even smoke.
Heeseung waves a goodbye to the both of you, leaving you alone with Sunghoon who is obviously in a sour mood but you ignore it.
During the car ride both of you donât speak a word to each other, but when you notice the direction heâs driving isnât home you speak up.Â
âWhere are you going?â
Sunghoon speaks to you how he speaks to everyone else, it catches you off guard how cold his tone is.
âI donât know.â
âWhat do you mean you donât know? Youâre the one driving?â
His eyes roll over to you with anger before pulling over into a motel parking lot. Itâs mostly empty, no one around the two of you and the old neon sign flashing in front of the two of you casting a flickering glow.Â
âSunghoon?â
He puts the car in park and leans back in his seat not facing you.Â
âWhere are we even right now?âÂ
It seems like youâre talking to yourself because Sunghoon wonât answer. He's zoned out tapping the steering wheel. You slump in your seat knowing you canât drive since you drank and now youâre stuck with Sunghoonâs antics.Â
âDo you miss your ex?â
The question comes from nowhere and that's when you understand his bizarre behavior.Â
âIt was just that I ran into him.â
âBut you didnât need to hold his hand.â
Thereâs tension in the air, suffocatingly so. Sunghoon unbuckles his seatbelt, looking down at you.
âIâm going to book a room. I canât drive right now. You can follow after if you want.â
He leaves you behind with the car keys knowing full well you have no other option. You donât see why he didnât just go home. Instead he had to do all this.Â
You do follow soon after based on Sunghoonâs text, arriving to him splayed out on the bed and the door left unlocked. You lay down next to him on your stomach staring down at his face. His eyes are closed and so you tap the mole on his nose then cheek.
His eyes flutter open, grabbing your hand by the wrist but tenderly laying a kiss to your open palm.
âYou were watching us?â you ask.
He nods, now kissing each of your fingertips. When you shake your head at him he pulls you down to lay on top of him in a tight embrace.Â
âI saw how you are when youâre with him. Like you still want him.â
His arms wrap around you even tighter as if youâll slip away.
âYou want to go back to him cause itâs easier donât you.â
Soon you're beneath him, looking up at his pained expression. You caress the side of his face, pushing the stray strands of hair back.
âThat wonât happen.â
He falls down against you, breathing you in.
âBut do you ever think about it?â
Before you can respond heâs back to looking straight into your eyes.
âI only want you. Even if you consider him, I won't let you go.â
His eyelids are beginning to redden, his constrained emotion slipping through into the expression of his face.
âIâll never let you go,â he mutters before harshly pressing a kiss against your lips, a mess of tongue, teeth, and saliva. You kiss back, lifting yourself to deepen the kiss as a form of reassurance.Â
Your clothes become a commodity as he rips them off of you, discarding them to some corner in the dingy room. Your naked body is splayed out in front of him, only to be cherished and pleasured by him.Â
His lips glide up your bare skin, from your stomach to breasts where he nips at the skin and latches onto one nipple, swirling his tongue in intoxicating circles. His other hand fondles your chest, eliciting hitched breaths from you. At your sensitivity he goes harder, mixing pleasure and pain into one contorted feeling of bliss. He bites down, leaving red traces of canines, letting out a soft laugh as goes down on you, face in your glistening cunt.Â
âHe wonât get you like this.âÂ
Sunghoonâs nose rubs against your slick, taking in the scent until heâs practically making out with your pussy, each flick of the tongue hitting your clit. He focuses his mouth on your hole, licking around it and slipping a finger in before tongue fucking you, eyes open and looking up at you. You feel him smirk when his finger slips out to rub against your clit in circles. A moan slips from your lips, and when he feels the way you only get wetter he lets out one of his own. His groan vibrating against your tight pussy wrapping around his tongue, more than ready to feel how well youâd take his cock.Â
This was how you made up, when words couldnât reassure each other, your bodies spoke the confirmation.Â
You grind your hips upwards, chasing the sensation. Sunghoonâs palms spread your legs apart even further. The hand on your clit is replaced by his mouth, sucking on it while he fingers you with not two, but three fingers, making you gasp. His mouth comes up to your abdomen, a plane of taught soft skin that he bites into, teeth piercing your flesh. Bright red blood drips from the wound, trickling onto the motel sheets and making you writhe in pain that he distracts you from the moment his fingers curl upwards, moving faster and hitting the most pleasurable spot inside you. Your mind he split between the intense pleasure and searing pain. You look down at the mark he left on your stomach, a sign of selfish desire. His need to own you with his love. The sight of him a mess over the sheer chance of you leaving on its own is enough to turn you on. You push your fingers into his scalp, pushing his lips back downwards onto your clit with an aggressive grip. Â
âYouâre disgusting,â you seethe, âdoing all this over your step sister.âÂ
His eyes roll up to you, tongue lolling out to playfully tease your clit.
âYouâre no sister of mine. You've never been mine, you never will.â
He slides up your body, unzipping his pants hastily while bringing his lips to whisper above you, breath heaving against your nose.Â
âBut you love me donât you? Just how I love you? Youâre disgusting with me. You love me.â
Without warning he thrusts into you. Youâre wet enough to accommodate his size, and the sound is beyond lewd. The collisions of both your bodies resounds a wet rhythm. His sharp pointed thrusts make you see white as you cling onto his shoulders, digging your nails into his muscle through his shirt.
His movements are so aggressive your body moves up the bed until your head is hanging off the edge and blood rushes upwards. Sunghoonâs hand holds the back of your head, tangled in your locks of hair, only worried about chasing his high through you now as his eyes shut tightly.Â
âYou can scream my name here,â he mutters, âcome one say it for me, cry for me while you come.âÂ
His crude language pushes you to the edge, you rub circles on your own clit simulating yourself to an intoxicating point, back arching up as your legs shake, reaching your climax. Your whine, his name slipping through your lips in disoriented ecstasy. You cry out even louder, a mix of moans and his name as your walls clench even tighter on his pulsing length. At the feeling of your cunt wrapping around him tighter, cumming on his cock Sunghoon has to pull out. Without even a stroke he releases thick white ropes all over your chest. The view he has of you is truly a sight. He smears his cum across your nipples with his ring and middle finger, bringing the remnants on his hand to your mouth, forcing you to suck it clean.Â
âSay you love me,â he whispers after licking your lips.
âI love you,â you respond, voice strained from the earlier passion.
Sunghoon pulls you up onto his lap, your body weak from sex.Â
âI love you, I love you more than anyone,â he repeats on against the depression of your collar bone.Â
hi! i cried reading love letters never sent, it was everything. i wonder if he actually loves her because i refuse to believe he didn't after that note, especially these lines: "Thereâs not much I have to offer but all that is me is yours. Iâve loved to be loved by you and I live with love of memories from you." it was so good, and i was wondering what he was doing during the whole situation and after.
hi! from my perspective his love was self-serving. the kind that roots in thinking of yourself first and then the other. it's love nonetheless but not sustainable. he couldn't properly share himself to maintain a relationship, nor could he say he loved her just as easily as he says he loved to be loved by her. thats why I wanted to focus on the contrast of their physical chemistry but their lack of direct dialogue. the love u can convey with intimacy has to be further than your body and into your soul for it to be a fulfilling love, a relationship that can actually last. he couldn't take that step.
is that wordy? I hope it made sense.
ah thank u for reflecting on what I write, it means so much to me <3
Jake isnât a fucking cuck, but damn if you donât look good with Jay on you like that. Yes, Jay. His arch nemesis. The stupid toned-muscle, nice car driving, fat cock throbbing, pretty lips and seductive voice having, bitchass neighborâŠ
or the one where jay is a super cocky rich neighbor who really, really doesnât care if jake, your husband, knows how badly he wants to not just fuck you, but both of you. The only thing better than one brat to jay just so happens to be two brats.
PATREON REQUEST | MDNI
WORDCOUNTâ 7.4k
PAIRINGâ sim jaeyun x afab reader (ft.neighbor brat tamer park jongseong)
CONTENTâ neighbor au, husband jake, threesome, smut, jayke action, jay tops everyone, jake only tops you.
DISCLAIMER â there is a lot of emphasis on jayke and the reader is cucking them. i got feral for a bit, pls forgive.Â
NOTEâ JAYKE GIRLIES RISE. p.s. Not entirely proof read, i struggled a lot writing a threesome this time, idk why ;-; pls forgive lil ol sjÂ
SMUT TAGS â threesome, guy on guy action, anal fingering , pussy eating, cock sucking [jake throats him], overstimulation, jay is a bit more dominant but all three of them are practically a pile of jelly, raw grinding, double vaginal penetration, dick against dick stuff, some guiding/hair tugging [jake receiving], cream pie, squirting
ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»
Jake stares through his living room window, knowing damn fucking well why his neighbor is outside pretending to pull weeds in his back garden right now. The fact that said neighbor is very aware that Jake is watching him?Â
Itâs pissing him off.
Jay, the cocky, toned torso, asshole is trying to push his buttons standing out there with his shirt off. He just knows it. Those smirks arenât unnoticed. Whatâs worse is that those smirks are always directed at him, right before Jayâs eyes are all over you. Jakeâs beloved, his fucking wife.Â
The fact that the idiot next door thinks heâs really gonna do something is borderline psychotic. Being so open about it, so blatantly confident?
All he has to do is fucking ask, but no. Heâs being sneaky. Jay flirts with you behind his back, the dude brings you the mail before he can even get outside to do it himself, he brings over extra groceries, he does this, he does thatâŠall because he thinks he can likeâŠhave an affair with you or something?
An idiot, is what that guy is. A very, very attractive idiot. Itâs not like you and Jake are against having fun with a third, itâs just the fact that Jay is sitting here like youâre some trophy to be won when youâve already got a goddamn ring on your finger. Whatâs crazier is that if you were anyone other than you, and Jake was anyone other than him, Jay very well may have already been in a full-blown affair with the wife of whatever neighbor heâd have.
And so, Jake watches, he studies. He knows youâre out back with your book, half naked, specifically because you find it funny that, for once, your husband is jealous.
âYouâre taking it personally, heâs just being nice.â You told him months ago. âJake, Jake. Look what Jay brought over!â You had squealed with glee just last week, presenting him with a cute little row of macaroons. âDonât be silly, he doesnât check me out.â You have said at least a million times, knowing full well itâs a lie.
Both of you are very aware of the way you defend him for the sake of possibility.
Well then, whatâs this? Jake argues in his head, watching Jay practically turn his head like the fucking exorcist to get an eye full of you lying out under that tree. At this point, Jay isnât allowed to be a third.Â
Trying to get his wife to cheat on him?! Hell no.Â
And the weeks go by with this idea in Jakeâs head. Now, he wakes up at the crack of dawn and waits for the mail. Now, he comes home with extra groceries neither of you need. Now, he mows the lawn perfectly, quicker than Jay mows his.Â
He isnât going to win you over this way, ever. Maybe, if Jay didnât have such an ego, this would have been a lot more fun.Â
Except, Jay kind of does win. Jake mows the lawn, suddenly Jay is planting flowers and offering to plant some for you. Jake checks the mail? Jay gives you coupons from his own stash just in case. Jake comes home with more groceries? Jay just brings you home cooked meals now.Â
Youâre aware of whatâs happening, itâs only a matter of time before you let this guy get some. Hell, even Jake knows it. He doesnât like it, but he knows you do.
Itâs the fact that Jake knows the types of men youâre into. If this guy wasnât so cocky, always trying to one up him, maybe heâd have told you to run along next door and have some fun. But itâs war now.Â
Full blown war.
Even when you giggle at his anger after weeks upon weeks of petty activities. Trying to calm him down and butter him up, all âCâmon babe, ill even moan louder for you.â and âYouâre probably bigger anyway, imagine putting him in his place by fucking me.â
The idea isâŠnice by this point, after all, how else can Jake win? Because he knows how to fuck his wife, and heâs very, very good at it. Jake wonât be the one inviting him in though, no. Nor will you.
If anything, the idea of embarrassing Jay, making him think heâs won the war by getting you to sleep with him only to realize Jake has been waiting for it to happen?Â
Now thatâ that would be hilarious.Â
ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»
It takes the better part of six months for all of this turf war shit to come to a head. Jake almost laughs, watching Jay act like heâs in it for the long run. As if his wife hasnât been giving him signals since he agreed to the little deal with you.Â
âIf we let Jay fuck you, you better tell him Iâm better.â He had argued. Not at all hurt that you want to sleep with the guy, more hurt that it would demolish his ego to not be able to look Jay in the eye and show him how insignificant his role is.Â
You nodded. And now, six months later with that fucking asshole next door constantly thinking heâs closing in on you, Jake senses the sin in the air.Â
âBabe, itâs happening!â You had whisper-shouted quickly into the phone before hanging up.
Naturally, Jake was home in record speed, slamming through the front door and rushing to the bedroom. And there it is. Jay jumps back with wide eyes, cock hanging out of his pants as if heâs so guilty, as if this wasnât his intention. You, smirking on the bed, completely nude, legs spread.Â
Oh, you sure got his attention this time, and Jake eyes down both of you, trying so hard not to smile.Â
âItâs not w-â Jay goes to explain himself, face going flushed and hair all fucked up as he stands awkwardly with his hands covering his cock.
Arguably, Jake kind of thinks he looksâŠwellâŠhe gets it. Heâll never admit it to you, nor to Jay, but he gets it. Jay is prettyâŠheâs maybe even thicker than him too, and his body is toned and near pristine, ohâŠhis mouth.
âItâs about fucking time.â Jake rolls his eyes more at himself than at the neighbor, already lifting his shirt off and flicking his eyes to you. âWas starting to think you really thought you could fuck my wife without me.âÂ
Jay is stunned at first, thatâs kind of exactly what he was thinking. Yetâ Oh, so the two of you are into this? He was starting to wonder why Jake never came over to kick his ass after consistently trying to get at you. Now he looks between you and your husband, eyes narrowed, smirk appearing.Â
âWait,â Jay says, ignoring the way you both can see his cock twitch with interest as he moves his hands away from whatever shame he was feigning. âYouâre a fucking cuck? Honestly, I should have known.âÂ
So he still wants to be a cocky asshole about this?
âOh, no. No, no.â Jake laughs, groping himself as he closes in on Jay. âYou will be the one watching.âÂ
Jay rolls his eyes, nodding as if this is some sort of joke.Â
âRight, right.â He nods, then looks at Jake, scanning his torso before arguing.Â
âYou donât think itâs weird how wet she already is? I barely touched herâand you.â Jay glances down at Jakeâs bulge now, watching how the man rubs against it. âYou got hard looking at me, not her.â
Silence.Â
Jayâs not embarrassed like he was supposed to be. Actually, heâs well aware that heâs right.
Jake stares at him, you stare at him, and he leans back, stretching his arms out before scratching the back of his head.Â
âIf I knew you both wanted meââ He breaks the silence, dropping his eyes to Jakeâs bulge again, âmaybe iâd have come for you first. Smooth out the friendship, then fuck your wife.âÂ
Why is Jakeâs stomach bubbling?
And you. Youâre just watching it unfold. Two very beautiful men standing in front of you, gripping their cocks, semi-arguing not just about fucking you, butâŠ.fucking each other? About who the cuck is when clearly, itâs you right now?
Oh, Jakeâs gonna love him. You think he already does, actually, because you see the way his lip is quivering from here. He does that when he wants to pounce, when he wants to be kissed. You know him well enough, you see his interest, his attraction to the neighbor. All that petty competition turned him to mush within seconds of Jay not backing down.Â
âKiss him,â You mumble from the bed, tracing your fingers up and down your thigh. âJakey, kiss him. Heâs really good at it.â
The best part is, you expected Jake to be in one of his moods. When heâs aggressive, bruising with every touch and kiss, but this isâŠvery unexpected. Itâs the opposite actually. This is rare even for you to see your husband become docile, nearly submissive. To watch him act like this especially when you have a third in the room. Heâs never given up his control when someone else is involved, unless of course, the third is a woman.Â
The fact that itâs towards Jay is a bit more unexpected. Theyâve been silently beating the shit out of each other through domestic acts for so long now, you can argue that Jay will probably hold this over his head forever if it continues.Â
Toxic masculinity, all that. The competition between men can be very sexy on its own when it involves your body, but seeing your husband practically roll over and be vulnerable too? How lucky for both of you to have someone like Jay living just across the yard.Â
You can see it in the neighborâs eyes, someone who is not only willing to participate, but will participate, will take over, will not back down.
Jayâs won the war, but Jake doesnât really care as much now that heâs seeing what you see in him. Hell, he didnât even know the guy likes dudes, and the fact that he said he should have gone for him first?Â
Jake is his type?Â
Well, Jay is your type, and heâs your husbandâs type, and you are their type.Â
Isnât this kind ofâŠgreat?
âYeah, kiss me.â Jay finally cuts into the silence, waiting for Jake to make his move, the one that will make him give in, the one thatâll essentially land him in the throne that reigns over both of you.Â
How funny is it that Jake does lean in to kiss him? Jay watches, not at all closing his eyes despite watching Jake close his own. Probably to be passionate, probably to let his own desire take hold. Not quite yet though, Jay thinks. As he can feel Jakeâs breath on his cheek, his eyes shoot to you and his hand shoots to the back of Jakeâs hair.Â
He pulls it, keeping eye contact with you as he now, pushes your husband down. He keeps Jakeâs face close to his body, making sure he can feel his lips run all the way down, straight against his cock. He holds his head there for a moment, letting it twitch against Jakeâs lips before he pushes him down further, sitting him on his knees.Â
Doing that was strangely difficult though. He could tell Jake wouldâve done it. Right here and now, leaving you, his own wife, neglected with her legs all spread out on the bed just to suck a cock?Â
Thirsty. Both of you. Because donât think for a second that Jay didnât see how much you liked watching him do that either. Watching him control your husband.Â
âSit.â Jay says against Jakeâs near-pout at the act of being dominated. âYouâre going to sit there, and youâre going to watch.âÂ
Jake finally blinks up at him and the look kind of floors Jay a little bit by the time he finally lands his eyes back on him. Like, goddamn, heâs so, so fucking submissive looking when his eyes go all glassy like that.Â
Arguably, Jay is already borderline lustfully obsessed with the idea of fucking you, but your husband? After meeting his glare for so long? Thereâs something so, so arousing watching him submit like this, all while youâre just lying there, smiling, loving it.
Jay holds back a short chuckle, catching his breath in his throat before he breaks his character even for a moment, showing how much heâs interested too. Gotta stay strong for now.Â
âUnderstood?â He tilts his head instead, keeping that grip in Jakeâs hair.Â
Jake nods, now looking at you. Almost apologetically, but you smile at him with a short nod as well, spreading your legs even wider as Jay makes his way over.Â
âNow,â Jayâs voice goes softer when he speaks to you, one palm landing on your inner thigh and the other against your cheek as he crawls over you. âWhere were we?âÂ
Fuck, what a man. You nearly shiver at the touch alone, noting how heâs acting the exact same way as he was before Jake walked in. Heâs not acting, heâs not putting on a show to try and one up your husband again, no. This is justâŠhim.Â
Maybe a bit rough around the edges, but he knows what heâs doing. Heâs definitely gotten around, surely.
âAh, right.â Jay mumbles with a smile, leaning down and letting his lips rest against your neck with a hot breath. âYou wanted me to play with you for a little bit, didnât you?âÂ
You nod again, feeling like if you speak right now, itâll come out dry and raspy. You did want him to play with you, because if you didnât ask for it, he may well have already been fucking you when Jake walked in. And that was against the rules.Â
There had to be a way to hold Jay off. Especially because he was definitely rushing before.Â
âWhenâs he coming home?â You recall him saying when he walked through your front door. Truly, he wouldnât have walked in if you didnât answer the door the way you did.Â
Bra and panties, all done up like you were expecting him. Heâs a little embarrassed at that though, because he instantly got hard at seeing you like that. Like it was specifically for him. He knew Jake was at work. Who else would it have been for?
He asked that without any indication of you actually seducing him though, it was all assumption. And he was right to assume because, well, he picked up your hints for months. Coming over for sugar wasnât going to cut it anymore after seeing you open the door like that. You looked at him like that.
He was going to fuck you this time. Months and months of distant flirting had nearly driven him insane by this point too.Â
âHe gets off work in about an hour but, let me use the bathroom firstââ You had said in a hushed tone, full-on acting, role playing with a man who didnât realize it was allowed.Â
Then, you called your husband with the news as Jay was tearing his belt off on the other side of the bathroom door.
You also recall Jay demanding you take him to your bed when you had tried to go back to the living room. Probably to mark territory or something, and all you could do was comply. After all, your husband was already on his way and you could tell Jay knew he didnât have a lot of time. He wanted to make it count, no matter how quick he had to be. After all, there was a look in his eye, one that made you feel like he knew it wouldnât be the only time.
When Jake walked in, your neighbor already had his cock out, slapping it against your clit, grinding up against it, commenting on how pretty you are, how wet youâve gotten for him, asking how much longer youâre going to make him wait, threatening to put it in and render you breathlessâ then the door opened, and now here you are.Â
âAsked me to play with you, as if you werenât the one playing games with me.â Jay whispers now, a little more aggressively. âNo more rushing now, hm?â He adds, slapping his cock right against your clit again before pulling back.Â
âIn that caseââ Down he goes, happy that he already pulled both that bra and the panties off of you before Jake even got home, nosing his way straight to your quivering pussy.
Before he lets you feel it though, he looks back, making sure Jake is watching, getting a full view of his half clothed ass before nodding.Â
âMake yourself useful and get my pants off while I do this.âÂ
No eyes are on Jake as he does as heâs told. In fact, your eyes are rolling back and Jayâs are looking up at you, feeling Jake try and pull at his pants. His tongue, however, is already working wonders. Licking you up and licking you down, between each fold before sucking your clit in his mouth and making it all sensitive, throbbing.Â
Jake does manage to get his pants off for him, and he stays in his place beside Jay now, waiting, watching. Occasionally his eyes glance down, seeing his neighborâs heavy cock hang there, neglected, leaking little drops onto the bed.Â
If Jake was smart about this, he probably wouldnât be thinking about licking it up, yet here he is, surprising himself time and time again with this side of him. He really, really didnât expect the situation to turn into this. If at all, he should be the one eating you out right now, he should be the one telling Jay to take off his pants.Â
Jay should be the one thinking hard about licking cum up. He should be the one neglected.Â
âYâknow,â Jay suddenly groans against you, voice vibrating your clit. âIf she was mine, I wouldnât share her.â He continues, going back in for another long and languid lick against your hole, waiting for you to moan, practically forcing one from your throat when he dips his tongue inside of you.Â
And he continues that, closing his eyes this time and focusing on the taste, the feeling of what will soon be wrapped around his cock. Itâs like heaven, kind of, having you like this while Jake just sits off to the side. He wonders what your husband must be thinking right now, if heâs into it or growing angry.Â
âEspecially not with you.â He finally adds, leaning back from you and studying the mess heâs made so far before turning his head back to Jake. âLook at her, how could you just watch someone do this to her?âÂ
And, well, the look on Jakeâs face kind of bruises his heart a little bit, softens him up. Heâs still just blinking up at him, almost as if heâs waiting to be told he can come up from the floor, cock raging so hard in his pants. Jay shakes his head at himself before looking at you.Â
âThen again, I probably wouldnât share him either.â He says as he stands on his knees, presenting his cock to you, grabbing your hand and guiding it straight to him before addressing your husband again. âCome up here.â
Jake practically leaps onto the bed now, getting an eye full of how your hand barely wraps around the girth of this man, and he stares. And stares, and almost entirely forgets that heâs the husband in this situation, this is his room, his bed, and his wife.Â
And Jay is his neighbor. His extremely, insufferable, sexy fucking neighbor.Â
âLook at you.â Jay seethes as he fixes his posture tall and strong above you, lip tucked between his teeth briefly at the gentle grip you twist around the head of his cock. âBoth of you.â He adds, now grabbing Jake by his hair again, this time pulling his face straight to his own.
âYou still wanna kiss me?â He says now, Jake nodding instantly.Â
You watch the way your husband leans in, almost moaning in relief when his lips meet Jayâs. Itâs messy, extremely intimate to see up close like this. It turns you on somehow more to see Jake act the way you do when heâs left you neglected for a few minutes too long. Desperate, kind of argumentative with his pouting and moaning.Â
Gripping Jay harder, you urge them on, watching their tongues reach the point of messy drooling, their chins wet, Jake probably tasting your pussy on Jayâs lips. And god, when Jay moans into it, probably due to the speed in which youâre now jerking him off, even you moan in response.Â
Thereâs something about seeing him get into it, ignoring the fact that heâs appeared calm and collected this whole time.Â
Yeah, heâs definitely getting into it. He grabs Jakeâs hair harder, kisses him deeper when you circle your fist at the head of his cock, collecting the precum so you can slide back down to the base. And fuck, when you watch him now, reaching out, grabbing Jake through his pants?Â
You whine, wanting more than just lying here watching.Theyâre so into it and youâre justâŠhere witnessing it. You want them to kiss you too, you want them both on you, working you open, making you feel good too. But youâre briefly ignored in this moment as Jay starts rutting his hips, fucking your fist at a pace that makes it hard to jerk him off.Â
And JakeâŠgod, you knew you married him for a reason. Look at him, barely kissing back now, just slack jawed as Jay palms between his legs for him, licking into his mouth before moving down, kissing his neck, biting his shoulder.Â
Thatâs it. Youâre losing your damn mind right now, pulling your hand back and sitting yourself up on the bed. Jay doesnât even flinch at the loss, and just kisses Jake harder to make up for it.Â
Your eyes stay glued to them as you now move yourself forward, poking and podding your husband first, who ignores you entirely because heâs, well, lost in it. Very into it. Still slack jawed, still reeling from finally being touched.Â
You move your attention to Jay, poking and prodding him instead, and he pays attention. Grabbing your curious hand and pulling you roughly against him. You smile at the movement, understanding that heâs clearly still the one in control here, and whining for your husband may not be in the cards right at this moment.Â
Heâs just like you, youâre just like him.Â
Just seconds later, you push back again, wanting to encourage more than this, wanting to see more, feel more. You start working Jakeâs pants off and practically push Jayâs hand away from him, only now do they both pause, watching your hands pull out his cock. Still he moans at it, skin on skin, and you hold it there, looking up at him, glancing at Jay, then back down.Â
âStop leaving me out.â You mumble.Â
Jake finally snaps out of it at that, lips feeling tingly as he watches you, guilt bubbling up that he lost it there for a second. Jay, on the other hand, is kind of reeling at how jealous the two of you get. Yet, still youâre both entirely into him as much as you are each other, it seems.Â
Itâs only natural that youâll whine for Jake when heâs too busy kissing the man who is supposed to be on you right now, but no worries. None at all, Jay likes it. He understands.Â
âAwh,â Jay coos, pushing his hips forward and bumping your hand with it, making sure the head of his cock meets Jakeâs before continuing the act. Rutting again and again, messing your hand with the mix of precum and arousal. âDid he leave you out?âÂ
They both did, but something about the way Jayâs voice sounds when he asks, so soft yet still cocky. Charming, because even Jake nods at that before skewing his head to you, dragging his own hand down to hold it over yours before allowing Jay to slide his length into the tight space.Â
You feel it when your husband leans in to kiss you now, as if heâs apologizing. Too worked up to say it, and can only act on his apology. Warm lips enveloping yours with a heated, near desperate kiss, then he starts immediately fucking up. You can feel it, the way their cocks meet and keep the mess of hands holding them together slick and wet for this.Â
Jay is stuck watching this time, and he canât decide on whether he should watch the way you manage to overpower Jake in the kiss, or the way you and your husband are both holding both cocks so tightly just so he can fuck up and against the under side of Jakeâs.Â
Jesus. All three of you have a bit of a pit in your stomach, especially when you manage to slip your hand out and allow Jake to control the mess in the middle as you, now, turn from Jakeâs kiss with the intention of kissing Jay now.
Finally, youâre not left out, finally, thereâs two cocks out in the open, rubbing against each other with a wet, pornographic sound.
âOh, needy.â Jay comments when you kiss him just as harshly as you did Jake, you can feel his smirk on your lips but he quickly falls into the kiss too. And thatâs when Jake absolutely loses it, finding you so pretty, both of you, so, so, so pretty like that when heâs feeling so good.Â
And now, a small pause. You pull back for a breath and get a good look at both of them. Their attention is no longer on each other, itâs on you. Both pairs of eyes shining at you as they continue to jerk their weeping length off against one another, and suddenly, youâre shy.Â
Thereâs a hunger in Jayâs eye, a need in Jakeâs, and only now do you lay back again, spreading your legs open wide, and using your fingers to spread your pussy out the same way.Â
âJakeyââ You call out to him, wiggling your hips and presenting it to him first, âlookââ
Jay shivers when he looks first, seeing how much wetter youâve become.
âYeah, Jakey,â He echoes your words, grabbing him by the hair again since he seems to like that and guiding his face straight to your hole, âlook at it.â
Being guided isnât something Jake allows often, but he doesnât mind so much now with his face being nuzzled into a cunt he knows so, so well by another man. Fuck, he barely was able to catch his breath before it was knocked out of him again. He licks out immediately anyway, and makes himself comfortable, hands and knees, lapping away like a happy little pup.Â
Jay studies you closely when Jake does his thing, the way you lazily watch him, the way your chest rises and falls with deep, meaningful moans that shows he knows his way around your body, and he knows how to pleasure it. So, now he averts his eyes to Jake, his body, his waist, his ass.
Heâs got so much to work with between the two of you. And so, he pushes Jakeâs head into you further, roughly rubbing his nose into the mess, making you moan, and hoping heâs enjoying himself because heâs sure he might pull back when heâ
Jake does pull back slightly, but that arch in his back doesnât go unnoticed either. A saliva slicked finger pushes, circling his rim before pushing in.Â
âFuckââ Your husband groans with a shiver, his cheek against your clit, resting his head briefly there as if to prepare of the welcomed intrusion.
And it goes on like that for a bit longer than you had expected. All of this is happening in a way you werenât expecting, actually. Thereâs a sense of control here, but itâs gentle, almost careful with intention. Somehow, Jayâs attention stays on Jake, maybe as a form of apology, or maybe to assert his dominance now that he, at the very least, has you where he wants you.Â
Your eyes glisten at your neighbor, blinking at him as he pleasures both of you. He seems to be enjoying himself, looking back at you all while using Jake as an extension of himself, and of course, finger fucking him to the point Jake canât stop rutting back against the pleasure.
Arguably, Jay may not know what exactly to do with all of holes willing to let him fuck them. But, also, none of you are short on time.
This can happen as many times as you want, hopefully.Â
âMhm, thatâs rightââ Jay groans now, nearly rolling his eyes at how tightly Jakeâs ass hugs his single digit. He reaches around him now rather than guiding his head, holding his waist and leaning over him, aggressively fucking his finger in, finding his prostate in a near instant just to toy with it.Â
âYou ever heard him cry before?â Jay now averts his eyes to you with an amused tone.Â
You shake your head, a mess at how fast Jake works his tongue on you through the pleasure, your hands now finding your way into his hair to rub his nose in it even more.Â
âEver see him cum untouched?âÂ
Another shake of your head.Â
âNo?â Jay smiles, tilting his fingers up, assaulting Jakeâs prostate and within seconds, you note the way your husband starts writhing between your legs.
His tongue is sloppy, heâs moaning so loudly that he can barely catch his breath, and Jay immediately pulls his fingers out before aggressively lifting Jake up and away from you by his arms, letting you see the cum spurting out of him, sending tremors and shivers from his toes to the top of his head.Â
âOhââ You groan, squeezing your legs together at the image, watching Jake grow frustrated at his ruined orgasm despite the cum still dripping out of him.Â
Youâve never seen him look so ruined, and the way Jay presents him to you so proudly kind ofâŠwell, he really did it. As if on command, making your husband both cum and cry. Thereâs clearly some things both of you could learn from Jay.Â
âNow, stop neglecting her.â Jayâs tone comes out far more demanding now, ignoring the way Jakeâs cock weeps with sensitivity now, once again guiding him, except this time, when Jake holds back as if to rest for a moment, Jayâs demands are directed at you.Â
âFuck him.âÂ
Well, who would say no to that?Â
You take it upon yourself now to push your husband back, letting his head hang off the bed as Jay helps you lay him out, and instantly you sit. Grinding your bare, soaked pussy against his half-flaccid length.Â
Jake does whine through it, shooting his hands up to you and not even knowing himself if he wants more, or if he needs you to slow down, or to stop entirely. His hands are frantic, breaths are uneven, his eyes going from wide open, to rolling back, to squeezing shut.Â
He looks panicked, confused, stunned.
âStop thinking,â Jay instructs him, whispering sweetly as he pulls himself off the bed to get a good look at the blood rushing to the top of Jakeâs head as it hangs there.Â
Your husband is kind of thankful, happy to be a bit mindless in this moment because suddenly, it does feel good, feeling someone so familiar sinking down on him all in one go. So wet, so warm, so his. It doesnât seem so bad to let someone else think for him right now either.
He tries to lift his head to see you still, but he starts seeing lights, going a bit dizzy as you gently ride yourself on him.Â
You are trying to adjust as he grows harder inside of you, stretching you open and giving you the fulfillment youâve been needing since all of this started. You moan, trying to be compassionate about this, especially knowing heâs about to be toyed with even further, by both of you.
Jay nods at you with a smile, as if encouraging you to go faster, to take what you need from him.Â
Then his eyes flick between both of you, cock in hand, he stands up slightly, aligning it perfectly with Jakeâs lips. Poor guy is so dizzy he probably doesnât even notice yet, but Jay communicates with you. That same cocky smirk, a raised right eyebrow, and a tilt of his head.Â
Heâs asking you for permissionâŠto put it in?
âYes, yes, yes.â You moan as you bounce and frantically nod your head, trying to regain breath at the sheer idea of it. âBaby,â You groan now, unsure if Jake can even hear you at this point. âOpen your mouth.â
You canât see his face, and god how you wish you could because of Jayâs reaction in particular. The way he taps his cock, pushing forward, probably sliding into his mouth now. Itâs the way he holds both sides of Jakeâs head when he does it, the way his eyes are laser focused, his abs flexing in silent pleasure, his slow release of a very faint moan.
Man, fuck, youâve always wanted to see your husband suck someone off, but he never has. Heâs only ever allowed it to happen to him, only ever made someone else suck him off.
âOh, good boy,â Jay moans now at the feeling of Jakeâs tongue frantically lapping, despite how crowded his mouth is becoming. And he throws his head back at the pleasure, now going to hold the bottom of Jakeâs chin, tilting his head back further to angle the position, thrusting straight down his throat. âSo, so goodââ
Jay notes how he needs to just, like, shut the fuck up now. Even he, at this point, is losing it. This wasnât something he actually thought Jake would let happen, yetâŠlook at him. Fuck, look at you. Drinking up the image, eyes so dark and crazed that heâs using your husband like thisâ
That youâre both using Jake like this.
Youâre bouncing, riding, chasing, staring off at him as if youâre some sort of feral animal happy to take what you can get Then, Jake, choking and gagging around him as he moans in pleasure at the same time, spit bubbling out at the sides of his mouth, dripping down and into his hair and he probably loses the ability to think at all if his hands are anything to go by.
Scratching at his own body, gripping the sheets, reaching out for something, for anyone to hold him through it.
All that blood split between his head and his cockâŠitâs so obvious, and youâre still chasing, getting enough but at the same time, knowing you can have more.
Something snaps in Jay as he watches you. Heâs lot the plot a bit, taking a liking to Jake, seeing how far he can push the boundary just because he can, almost forgetting how fucking badly heâs wanted you.Â
You.Â
He hasnât even fucked you yet, he seriously let Jake do it first?Â
âJesus,â Jay groans out of frustration now, fucking into Jakeâs throat one last time and holding it there as he stares forward at you. He ignores the choking sounds, the desperate searches for breath only because it feels, so, so fucking good.
 âAlright, alright.â
Youâre a bit confused at the way Jay talks more to himself than at you or your husband, but you hear a sputter when he pulls back, walking to stand at the side of the bed and leaving Jake to deal with the aftermath of whatever lashing his throat just took in stride.
You pause your bouncing, watching him curiously.
âScoot back a bit,â Jay says now, helping you scoot back, helping Jake get his head back on the bed so he can regain whatever humanity he has left in it.Â
And then, Jay is positioning himself behind you, allowing you to essentially plant yourself back onto your husband before heâs forcing his own cock in alongside him. Without warning, without helping you stretch out more.Â
You fall forward with a yelp, now just as breathless as Jake is when you hug against him tightly, burying your nose in his neck, feeling his heartbeat right against your lips there.Â
âJake,â You whisper as you desperately search for comfort, feeling Jay stretch you out. âOh, fuckââ
Jake nods his head slightly, now willing to take whatever this guy is going to give to the two of you. After all, heâs taken the brunt of Jayâs attack by now, heâs sure youâll love it as much as he does. So, he wraps his arms around you in a comforting way, essentially trapping you in place, whispering a short, breathless hum of, âfeels so good baby, when you squeeze around us like thatââ
That ignites you as you nuzzle further into your husbandâs neck, unable to stop squeezing around them. It fucking hurts, it hurts so badly, butâ
Fuck. Jake wants it. Jay wants it.Â
You want it.
Jay watches the mess in front of him, the way you both writhe and cling as he makes room for himself, fucking roughly forward, sliding with intentional pushes to stretch you open just enough to fit all of him alongside Jake.
Seeing your cunt try and handle it, the way you grip, stretch, and instinctively try to push him out? Itâs too much for you, but just right for all three of you, he thinks, as he makes eye contact with Jake and gets a drowsy nod.Â
He watches the way Jake holds you tighter, forcing an arch too. Ugh, what a good man he is.Â
âYeah.â He moans, now picking up a rhythm as you both start moaning in near unison, âHold her just like that for me.âÂ
And, well, you wanted to be fucked by them both but preferably not like this. At first anyway. You shock yourself when you call out, moaning so loudly it leaves a ringing in your ear. Thereâs rubbing up against something so sensitive inside of you, both cocks pulsing, stretching you beyond belief, and youâŠlike it?
It feels good now. Too good.
Your moans come out as cries as Jay continues, and both men seem to be falling in love with the sound of it. So much so that, even Jake now ruts his hips up with a cheeky smile, encouraged by Jayâs praise to keep going, all so he can feel you squeeze, and squeeze, and try to push them out.Â
And goddamn, does it feel good to have a cock rubbing against him in such a tight, wet little hole. Even Jay now starts whining with you.
Moaning, a mess, all fucking three of you. Finally, Jay has broken out of character, fucking forward fast, hard, near thoughless. It renders Jake unusable as he tenses up under you, holding you through it, babbling out filthy words of how full you must feel now that his cum is spilling out.Â
âFeel that, baby?â He whines so quietly, and you do feel it. Arguably, so does Jay. Â
Youâre barely able to breathe through it, suddenly feeling fingers in your hair that pull you back. You can feel Jayâs chest breathing rigidly on your back, and now you both stare down at Jake.
He looks so lost in it, and yet still, Jay demands.Â
Well, he pleads.
âKeep going,â Jay directs at Jake, well aware of his orgasm, slowing his hips to keep himself from cumming too, and groping both of your tits to hold you in place. âFuck up, faster, let me feel it.â He continues, now landing a sloppy, drooling bite against your shoulder.Â
And you watch your husband, something igniting yet again in his eyes as he does just that, grabbing your hips and letting his hips rut up, freely.Â
âFuck yes,â Jay moans for him before biting against your neck now. âYou gonna cum too?â
Okay, yeah, maybe Jay is trying to rush it now. He wants to be the last one to release, and if you donât get there soon, heâs going to fucking embarrass himself. Thankfully, you nod frantically like a good little wife, dropping a hand down and simply pressing your clit before your legs start shaking.Â
Both men feel it, the way you tense up, and they both put all of their energy into it.Â
You hold your breath through the orgasm, never having felt so full like this. It just keeps coming, and coming untilâoh.Â
âAhhââ Jake looks at you in surprise, lip now pulled between his teeth as he throws his head back again, dizzy, so fucking sensitive. His wife just fucking squirted.Â
For the first time, you did it. After years and years of both of you trying to figure it out.
Jay doesnât even know what to think about it, feeling you cum around him as Jakeâs cock struggles to keep up through the pain, all around him and against him, the splash of wet pushing out against him, dripping down onto Jake.Â
Itâs so messy, so fucking dirty.
Holy fuck. He canât, he canât keep holding back.
Youâre so sensitive when you fight through it, Jake even moreso, and Jay loves it as his hips demand an abusive pace. Pushing in, out, so deeply, so fucking hard inside of you, mixing around the mess of cum beforeâ
The bruising grip on your hip tells you more than the twitching inside of you, and Jake practically starts crying in pain at the rawness of it all. Jay, shaking, releasing all of it with tight, jerking thrusts before finally, he slumps over you. Sandwiching you between both himself and your loving, exhausted, absolutely docile husband.Â
Out of breath, out of fucking mind really, you donât even move.Â
You donât clean up, hell, you donât even open your eyes after that as you catch your breath between the tight mess of bodies.
ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»ă»
After that day, things kind ofâŠchanged.Â
Jake is more needy. Heâs still dominant for you when you need it, but itâs kind of a welcome change from time to time. Having him act all sweet and sloppy, as if he can no longer control it when the time is right and youâre looking particularly mean.Â
Threesomes donât take place quite as often these days though. With other people, anyway. As to be expected considering no one has ever actually participated quite like he did.
Jay has also become a bit more gentle too. Still openly getting his eyes on you every chance he gets, but Jake doesnât mind near as much simply because he knows Jay checks him out too. The sexual tension is always felt between houses, and always satiated in one room or another.Â
Once even on the back porch in the dead of the night, but still.
The time spent with Jay now is a lot lessâŠum, erratic. Jay learns the two of you the same way you both learn him, and there have even been a few times since where Jake was the one toying with you both.Â
Even a time where you were the one in control.Â
Itâs comfortable, fun, equal. To the point neither of you really look for a third anymore, after all, youâve got the perfect match just across the yard, right?
Jay: hey jakey boy, come over, bring our wife
Jake waves his phone in front of your face. Itâs been weeks since the last time the three of you played. In fact, Jay has been kind of flaky about it lately, responding too late to texts, or simply declining.Â
Nevermind the fact that Jay always claims you as his wife too when things get, well, sexual. Itâs not like he doesnât do the same shit to Jake, calling him his husband, chuckling, being soft about it. Itâs the fact that it had been weeks, both you and your husband were starting to feel a bit heartbroken about it, actually.Â
And when two of you do go over, expecting lots of sex and even more questions about why Jay is being so weird lately, theyâre hit with romance? With dinner on the stove and candles on the fucking table?Â

summary: When you get the chance to house the angelic boy you've admired from afar for years, Jaeyun, because of you're bestfriend Jay maybe you take it too far. Maybe that boy isn't so angelic either, rather he's fallen.
Existing at night and blooming like a flower, he was angelic. Youâd go out, eyes dolled up with mascara, cheeks rouged, and lips pink, ready to get a glimpse. Ready to be seen in return. Your heart is tight in your chest with excitement, joy and pain mixing together into an overwhelming desire to get what you want.
Heâs the soul of the crowd, no one is like him. He moves with the music, words dripping from his lips like gold. Carnality sharpens at midnight but your heart remains softened from his singing voice on the platform. So many call out to him, âJaeyunâ. The two syllables are smooth on the tongue. You keep his name there at the tip, unsaid.Â
It sat on the tip of your tongue until the years were gone and Jaeyun left the center of your sight. It ached slightly to never have had him but it dulled overtime.Â
Until those sparkling angel eyes looked up at you, three years later soaked with sadness. A sweet horrid melancholy you wanted to be the one to cure. Â
Jaeyun doesnât sing anymore, thatâs what you can tell from the few words youâve shared after he called out for you in the heavy August rain. It wasnât that he knew you, he just knew who you came with. Heâs chewing at his lip, the sky shifting from gray to blue as he says two words to you.
âHelp me.â
You would never find yourself in a position to say no to him but in all honesty, Jaeyunâs favor was bizarre. Apparently, he hadnât been able to make rent for a while now after losing his job and just needed a place to crash until he got on his feet. Jay, who you had not the slightest idea was friends with Jaeyun all these years, claimed to have no room since he lived in a studio and offered you up. Why? Because your house was unreasonably large, majority of the rooms were vacant while your parents stayed in the main house a couple states away. Really, it would be selfish to say no but it was your greediness that spoke up and said yes.Â
Jay went inside the cafe without you while Jaeyun explained himself to you. You nodded as if understanding his circumstance and offered Jaeyun to come by whenever.
He said it was his first time meeting you so he was sorry to put such a burden on you. But in your heart youâve met him before, known him well enough to miss him and well enough to feel joy in his presence. Itâs disgusting really how you have to bite away the smile on your lips.Â
You invite him to grab coffee with you and Jay but he says he has to go so you cross your fingers that the next time youâll see him is inside your house after exchanging numbers.Â
Jay sits inside, legs crossed sipping on hot black coffee even in the heat of the season.Â
âYou didnât say yes did you?â
Your eyes turn wide to Jay whoâs tone comes off as if itâd be obvious for you to say no.
âWhat do you mean? I said yes.â
His own eyes turn wide at you as well.
âYouâre gonna live in a house just you and a stranger?â
âArenât you guys friends? And youâre the one who sent him to me.â
âCause I needed to send him in another direction. He's been begging me for weeks, and I know you always say no.â
You lean back into the booth, holding your head with one hand.
âYouâre so annoying.â
Jay just looks at you from the corner of his eye, the bone in his jaw flexing with frustration. Why he seemed so bothered you didnât care to know, because if you talked about this any longer heâd know how you felt for Jaeyun who didnât even know you.Â
âCan you order for me?â
Jayâs expression is still hardened but he listens to you, taking your card and drink order to the kiosk.Â
When he comes back with your drink he brings up the topic again.
âI mean alone with a man are you sure?â
âIâve been alone with you,â you counter.
Jay shakes his head while staring at the table in thought.
âItâs not the same, you donât even know him.â
âBut you do. Isnât he a good guy?â
Jay looks back up at you, now a little softer.
âI just met him at my part time job about a year ago, heâs not particularly close to anyone but he is friendly.â
âNot close to anyone?â
âYeah, he doesnât really hang with no one.â
âItâll be ok, if he does anything weird Iâll just tell him to leave.â
Jay nodded without saying a word, letting the conversation fall flat. You both decided to leave and walk around the cobblestone sidewalks to an open alley where you both shared a cigarette.Â
You and Jay shared the worst of you with each other, thatâs how you became friends. He knows your true disgusting nature, how selfish you are, how you parade around beautifully with a blackened heart. And he does too, he lives with no regard for anyone except himself and what he wants and occasionally with regard for you. Thereâs no one better and no one worse to share yourself with, heâs just a symmetry of you.
Jayâs eyebrows knit as he cups his hand around the tip, lighting fire to the paper, and burning red.
The smoke curled into the air around the both of you, creating beautiful spirals in the air.Â
You crumple the finished cigarette butt beneath the heel of your shoe when done and go your separate ways. Usually you wander the streets on your days off but all you can think about is Jaeyun, and how he probably has nowhere to go except the places he has to be right now so you walk to the bus stop bench where you decide to sit down and give him a call.
The line rings for a while but he eventually picks up, voice smooth and sweet as honey, with that twang in his voice he might as well be singing his words to you. And the way he says your name for the first time, itâs enough to make you want to fall to the floor of the sidwalk.
âHello?â
You bite at your nails wondering if youâd sound too forward but with the opportunity in your hands youâd never let it go.
âHey, I was just wondering if you wanted to come tonight? I got alota room and I know you must be struggling.â
You can hear the smile in his voice as he continues to be polite with you.
âYou know I really donât wanna intrude, but if itâs okay with you thatâd be amazing.â
You laugh knowing the boy youâve lost your mind over once before and all over again is actually speaking to you like this.
âJust come tonight, Iâll send you the address.â
You roll around on your bed all night waiting for his knock, or an âIâm hereâ text. The patterns on the ceiling make you dizzy as you stare up. This reigniting obsession is gnawing at your heart and when you hear the doorbell you run downstairs, shorts hiked up your thighs, tank falling down your shoulders to reveal the dip of your chest, all because you want him to see what he could have.Â
And there he is, cheeks red from seemingly being out of breath, hair tousled, framing around his face, chest heaving. Heâs a dream.Â
He starts talking immediately, telling you about his job interviews and how he walked over here while you take him to his room, conveniently next to yours rather than the other side of the house. You turn back to Jaeyun who is still rambling with a friendly smile.
âThis is your room.â You sit down on the bed watching Jaeyun put his single suitcase in the corner.
âThis is a really fancy place.â
You shrug looking up at Jaeyun purposely with doe eyes.
âItâs my parentâs so donât worry about anything.â
Jaeyun nods slowly, obviously confused on what to do next.Â
You decide to fill the silence by by bringing up old topics,
âDo you still sing Jaeyun?â
His expression changes from warm to sharp, eyes boring into you like you know a secret you shouldnât have. Jaeyunn sang publicly though so his expression made your heart drop with confusion. You start to laugh out of fear.
âDid I cross a line? Iâm sorry.â
He turns around before saying itâs okay and opening his suitcase to unpack. You stare at the back of his head wondering why heâs so bothered by the fact he used to sing. Everyone knows? You start to get frustrated by his elusive attitude and leave without a word, going back to your room where you already miss him despite your mood. You fall asleep like that sprawled out on the bed until faint noises next door wake you up like youâre in a fever dream. You sit up to hear better what sounds to be heavy and painful breathing. Your shirt is about to fall off your shoulder entirely, and ridden up exposing yourself far too much to walk around, but it was your house so none of it mattered. Out in the hallway you can hear a little better the sounds from Jaeyunâs room. You stand outside the door before gently pushing it open where you see him on his stomach a furrowed expression, eyes closed, mumbling and breathing deeply. He mustâve been having a nightmare the way a bead of cold sweat fell down his forehead. You kneel down by the head of the bed, watching his distressed face and reach out to softly pet his hair. Something about the pain spreading across his face makes you pitiful towards him. You sit there watching him sleep with a twist of emotions in your gut. One night youâd be beside him, you just needed to let time build a sense of familiarity.Â
By morning Jaeyunâs eyes are devastated by exhaustion as he sits at the table with you eating the breakfast you prepared. Youâve never made breakfast before, you either skip it or get something from a cafe but then you and Jaeyun wouldnât be able to eat together. In the thick of the silence Jaeyun excuses himself and says heâs going to go to church. In all honesty, youâve never been but you propose joining. At that you see his mood lighten up and so you find the only modest clothes you have. The both of you arrive well before mass, besides three other people spread throughout itâs just the two of you sitting side by side while Jaeyun prays the rosary. The light filters through the stained glass while you fold your hands together and stare at the crucifix, praying for nothing. You whisper to Jaeyun whose eyes are downcast.Â
âWhat do you pray for?â
He stares at the space between the floors and pews before turning to you, eyes wet with something you donât understand.
âForgiveness.â
His voice becomes so low you wonder if his words are meant for you or himself,
âItâs a shame time doesn't go back, Iâve always wanted to do things right.â
You look at Jaeyunâs profile, a dull sadness dripping from his eyes you feel at fault for, for asking the things you do.Â
âJaeyun.â
He looks up to you once more, still feeling miles away.
âWhat did you dream of last night?â
His stare remains set on you.
âI donât remember?â
You push no further, opting to observe the strangers coming in, all sitting down immediately to pray. {}
You spend the rest of the morning with Jaeyun in mass and part in the evening to go to Jayâs studio.Â
Youâre in your usual clothing again, knocking at his door. You can hear him from inside telling you to just come in so you enter the pin on the keypad to be welcomed by the sight of Jay, sitting on his own drinking through a bottle of bourbon.Â
âYou canât afford that, why are you drinking it?â you ask.
Jayâs heavy gaze comes up to you, cheeks rosy, pupils dilated.
âIt was a gift.â
You walk over to stand in front of him, sitting on your knees and placing your palms on his to rest your chin on.Â
âI went to church today with Jaeyun.â
Jay's look feigns amusement as he pushes the glass he was drinking from his lips towards yours and you lift your chin to swallow.Â
âYou like him?â
When you only drink up the last drops in the glass without answering Jay leans in, nose brushing against yours.Â
You know heâs a little drunk, he isnât usually like this.
âYou went because you like him?â he continues to interrogateÂ
The question is uncomfortable like the answer, youâd rather avoid it for now.
âJay, I wanna talk about something else.â
He leans back, legs spreading so you can no longer lean on them.
âOk, let's talk about something else.â
You smile, coming up to seat yourself next to him where there's no room and so your legs drape over his.
You spend the hours drinking, smoking, talking about your jobs and what youâll do with yourselves in the future. Right now you're an editor for a fashion magazine, itâs all youâve done with your journalism degree since graduation. Jay is a law intern until he can do clerkship. Compared to Jay you move with a lack of direction but your circumstances are much more forgiving than his.Â
Itâs two in the morning when you decide itâs a good time to go home, you both have work tomorrow and while you mostly work from home Jay doesnât. You wrap your arms around the broadness of his shoulders, face falling next to the birthmark on the crook of his neck. The hug is brief but youâre slow to pull away as you look at the only slightly sober Jay. He was best to look at when completely undone, lips red from all the blood rushing to his face, cheeks hot from the summer heat but also the internal pressure within his body. His words were slurred sometimes and you just wanted to peck the tip of his nose. You wanted to take him home with you, he looked so endearing like this but the hug you shared was all it would be. You had to ignore the craziness of your thoughts, it only lasted a minute anyway. The walk to your car was sobering despite you only having half a drink, the crickets were loud and the air hot. Everything was lush in the peak of summer, and the night sky a pinkish hue. When you pulled into the driveway you made sure to enter the house quietly to not wake Jaeyun. If he smelled the booze and smoke on you after just going to church this morning wouldnât he judge you? You take silent steps up to the second floor when you hear similar noises to the ones from last night. The flight of stairs takes you in front of Jaeyunâs room, only a couple steps away where you can see through the gap in the partially closed door. But it isnât how you expected, Jaeyun doesnât seem to be having a nightmare. You feel terrible but you canât pull your eyes away. Jaeyun is contorted on the bed, fisting the bedsheets by his head while he lay on his stomach, lifting his lower body. Tears roll down the soft planes of his cheeks to his parted lips, showing a mix of pain and pleasure. His hand pumps against his exposed length, reddened with friction. As he climaxes his face falls into the sheets, but he remains hard, letting out an agonizing groan of sensitivity muffled by his covered face. For minutes he lay there sweat mixing with tears from shut eyes. Were those the noises you heard last night? Youâre disgusted by the heat growing between your legs and try to walk by without a noise to your room. Despite your efforts the floorboards creak while you pass by and his eyes flicker to yours, flooded with lust, dripping onto the sheets. His expression shows no fear nor shock, instead an insatiable hunger unfamiliar to you in the eyes of someone you thought to be so different. The moments blur as you find yourself sitting on your bed, door closed, running away so quickly from the brief eye contact. Yet not long after you hear Jaeyunâs needy breaths next door. He isnât hiding it. You tremble with shame as your body responds to each overwhelmingly seductive sound. You imagine what he must be doing behind the barely closed door to finally release all the pent up tension in his body. While you see the image of Jaeyun in your mind play over the sounds of his desperate moans, your hands trail over your own body. Slipping beneath the layers of your shirt and bra you pinch at your nipples, the sensitivity running straight to your core that you actively choose to neglect until the pressure builds painfully with each pretty noise from Jaeyun. You collapse backwards onto the bed, hands hesitant with conflict, and so you decide to lay there lost in his voice like a song. It kills you. He must be doing it on purpose or heâs so consumed by desire he canât bring himself together. Either way you donât care. This is a strange heaven, one that is a wolf in sheepâs clothing. In reality, a palatable hell.
The next day Jaeyun looks at you with innocent eyes, as if yesterday was your own fever dream. His lips pout, he rubs his eyes in an attempt to wake up and his gaze flickers to you with a light devoid of desire. You can only stare at him, attempting to put each piece of his character together. Leaning back in your chair you speak to his back, while he flips eggs on the pan.Â
âYou got work?â
He doesnât turn to look at you.
âIâm still trying to get hired.â
âSo itâs just me and you today,â you hum.
Jaeyun doesnât say a word. You notice despite his acted innocence something is off about him. Today youâll crack him, work at the seams heâs unsealed himself.Â
Throughout the day he remains in his room so you stand the door frame, arms crossed watching him type on his laptop, while sitting at the desk that used to be your fatherâs.Â
"Me and Jay are going to the club this weekend, you wanna join?â
He only shakes his hide while still typing. You drag your body down the frame to sit on the floor.
âJaeyun why not? You have a place to stay with me you donât needa work yourself so hard.â
His smile at you is meek, youâre starting to think Jaeyun doesnât like you that much.
âItâs just not my thing.â
You tilt your head, seeing him now from an angle that almost strains your eyes.
âThen what is?â
He shrugs, not as into the conversation as you are but falling in at the mention that you didnât quite mind him staying here.
âStaying in?â
âWe can stay in together tonight,â you drag your words slightly, to send the message. This isnât a âfriendshipâ, you're building. Now getting up you walk over to the side of the desk and slightly push Jaeyunâs laptop down.
âThen I can relieve all that tension you build up so late, yeah?â
His eyes shoot up to you, tinged with fear and shock, the kind look you thrive on. And if it wasnât indecent to pounce on him this second you would. With a smile you walk out the room and down the winding stairs to do nothing but wait.Â
Tonight he was yours.Â
In the meantime you finished the editing work you had left and submitted your recent project.Â
You roll around the couch, legs in the air, shorts already too short to fall any higher and chest pressed upwards by gravity. Looking at yourself like this you became attracted to your own body. Youâd look a whole lot better if Jaeyun came down and made a scene of you but he hasnât left his room since. Even when you offered lunch he said he wasnât hungry. The clock ticks incessantly, and youâre aching without his submission. So you roll over and scream his name from downstairs. Eventually he comes down, sweatpants, baggy tee, and glasses, edible.Â
âWhatâs wrong?â he mumbles.Â
âIâve been waiting for you so we could watch a movie together.â
He scratches the back of his head, letting out an anxious laugh before sitting on the couch, too far away from you for your liking. You scooch in throwing the lap blanket over the both of you and scroll through movies thoughtlessly before landing on something Jaeyun says he likes. He doesnât protest much to watching a movie with you, nor when your knees touch, or when your head is on his shoulder. Heâs actually into the movie, itâs Interstellar, and why does everyone fucking love Interstellar? Even Jay likes that movie.Â
You use Jaeyunâs interest to move in closer, lips faintly brushing against his neck and you feel him shiver. His eyes stay on the screen but you donât care anymore, you place your lips against the crook of his neck and kiss before leaving a bite. His breath hitched, a faint moan slipping from his mouth.
âOh Jaeyun baby, just give into it.â you whine.
âI saw you last night, you just need someone to help you out.â
His eyes roll back to you, darkened but fighting between restraint and release.Â
So you make the decision for him and kiss the softness of his lips, the plush drowning you in pleasure. You could kiss him all night. You feel a wetness against your cheeks and when you pull back Jaeyun is crying, tears trickling down the roundness of cheekbones. You kiss and lick them like sugar.
âWhat's wrong Jaeyun?â
But he doesnât answer, he only grabs your arms and pushes you down against the couch, letting you feel the twitching arousal of his hardening cock against your thigh. His lips are on you like heâs starved, unstifled hunger ravishing you.Â
He moans from the contact instantaneously, slurred speech falling into your mouth.
âWhatâs wrong with you?â
And you love it.
You pull his hair, roughening the kiss and Jaeyun grinds up against you. You can feel that heâs let all his inhibitions fade away, because even if the both of you are sound of mind, in reality youâre not. His thumb prys your mouth open to muffle any noise as his mouth goes down, nibbling and biting on any crevice of exposed skin. When he can feel you have no bra on though the fabric of your cami he latches onto your nipple, wetting the shirt with saliva. The friction of the cotton with the movements of his mouth make you bite around his thumb to stifle the sounds building up in you causing Jaeyun to thrust his thumb deeper. His own breath is becoming heavier and the sound itself is a source of pleasure for you besides the way he touches you. When his hot breath fans over the center of your shorts you push yourself up slightly on your elbows to take a look. The scene is a recreation of bliss itself, his pathetic, whiny expression between your legs, with wet eyes and thick disheveled hair. Lashes tickling your thigh, and fluttering away like a flicker of light in the rain. He looks up at you, relishing in the contact of your eyes while pressing hard kisses against the sensitive spots close to your core. His tongue presses flat to lick your skin like he could consume you entirely. His eyes are now closed as he nuzzles his nose against the scent and wetness dripping from you. His moans almost sound like sobs as he falls into the mess between your legs, knuckles brazing you as he pulls your pants down with an unexpected quickness. His tongue slips from inside to back out, making circles up to your clit in desperate motions that make you dizzy. Jaeyun shifts his hand now so that youâre gagging on both his index and middle finger, his thumb dragging along your chin, wet with your own saliva. Your legs tighten around his head on instinct, suffocating him as he drives you closer and closer to the edge as if this is more of a pleasure for him than yourself. Â
âJae-â
His eyes snap up at the breathless call of his name, the call that almost sounds like youâre reaching for someone else instead. He becomes more aggressive, the stimulation rendering you speechless as you fall back, eyes rolling. Your vision turns white before you feel it all roll up and explode within you to gush out onto his face, the fluids of your orgasm. When you face one another again heâs panting, voice hoarse.
âDonât you see Iâm the one in front of you?â
His fingers fall from your mouth and to his own, coated in your cum. His tongue is lolling out, held in place by his index as he sits you up on his lap. Heâs looking up at you expectantly.
âThen come on, get what you want.âÂ
You smirk, looking down at him, his panting mouth wide open for you, and you spit in it.Â
He swallowed, smiling back up at you, sweat glistening on the both of you.Â
âWhat else do you wantâ, his strained voice whispered on your skin, leaving goosebumps.Â
You wrap your arms around the broadness of his shoulders, words falling into his mouth.
âEvery last drop of you inside me.â
Your days in those four walls continued like that, clinging to one another's skin in dirty ecstasy like your drive ran endlessly. When the both of you didnât have work itâd go on for hours. Jaeyun couldnât calm down, he came hard, cried hard, begged, whined. The more you slept together the more attached to you he became and it satisfied your soul so deeply you thought you may just lock him here and make him yours forever where no one can see him but you. Sometimes he tells you youâre too old to be acting like this, or that youâre crazy and he canât live under your roof inappropriately like this. Other times heâs on his knees for you.
But Jay knew your youth was still present and not to be wasted and so as promised you saw him that weekend at the club. Together you were free, the beat reverberating through your bodies amongst flashing lights and strangers. It was the proper way to unwind. For Jay to hear a single word coming from your mouth you had to yell in his ear.
Purple and blue strobes flashed across his face sporadically highlighting the different distinct features of his face. As the beat picked up you bounced up and down, hair falling in front of your face. Drinks passed around continuously, you couldnât even count how many you had. Rolling your hips to the music with Jay over your shoulder you turned to blurt barely coherent words about how the music reminded you of how Jaeyun used to sing. Club music was nothing like Jaeyunâs voice but Jay understood you and dug his fingers into your grinding hips, pulling you flush against him so his ear brushed the tip of your ear.
âShut up, and have a good time.â
You nodded, forgetting your statement almost instantly.Â
Held in the arms of the night you got lost in the rhythm until the both of you stumbled out.
Sitting on the pavement, heaving from the parting, Jay lit you up a smoke. Placing it between your lips you sucked in.Â
Breaking the silence with a foolish question you spoke, âDo you sing?â
Jayâs arm lifted to rest on your shoulders before looking up at the night sky.
âI play guitar.â
You turned to him with a face of insult.Â
âYou never told me?â
With a click of the tongue Jay answered,
âI donât even have time anymore with school.â
You leaned into his arm, laughing at nothing but the reality of life.
âWe used to have time for anything. I guess instead of partying you could play.â
The slight night breeze blew stray strands of hair over his clouded eyes.
âDonât think my neighbors would like me playing at night.â
âThereâs always my place, no one can hear anything for miles there.â
His laugh was mocking.
âWith Jaeyun?â
âArenât the two of you friends?â
âI told you, he has no friends.â
You rock forward to hug your knees.
âOhh kay.â
Silence permeated between the two of you for a long miniature before you broke through it.
âSo you gonna play that guitar for me?â
When you somehow find your way to Jay's apartment he pulls a guitar case out from the closet. He takes his place in the lone chair, placed by the window that looks down on the empty streets. He strums some chords while tuning and you lean on the sofa watching him fall into each note. Each one reverberates in the quiet studio, crisp but blending into the next. You donât know when you fell asleep but you got through two songs. He was talented, and he hadnât mentioned a word of it this entire time? When your mind dozed off entirely your last thought lingered on how beautiful someone can look doing something they love. When you awaken itâs from the bumps in the road from the backseat of a car. Jay is next to you staring straight ahead and you realize youâre in a taxi. When he notices youâre awake he tells you youâre going home, itâs around four almost five in the morning. You slump even deeper into the carseat and complain he couldâve left you in his place. He only shakes his head, bouncing from the bumpy car ride.Â
âYouâre really good at guitar,â you mumble.Â
Jay looks down at you and rests a hand on the top of your head.
âI can play for you whenever you like.â
Your laugh is weak, weighed down by the sleep youâre gradually waking from.
âI thought you were busy.â
âI know you wonât ask often,â he responds.Â
When the taxi arrives at the pristine gardens of your front lawn and wrought iron fencing Jay walks with you through to the front door where you fumble for your keys in the mess of your bag.Â
His shadow projects onto the white door and when you find your keys you turn around to look up at him, his still expression the cumulation of a patient compassion and building exhaustion with the length of the night. Shaking your keys in front of him you bring yourself up slightly to hug around his neck, his hand resting on the space between your shoulder blades.Â
With a goodnight and goodbye Jay goes back to the waiting taxi and you turn the lock to enter.
The house is silent, as expected. You toss your bag by the door and go upstairs, assuming Jaeyun is asleep and go directly to your room. Yet, you find him there, on top of your bed laying on his side, eyes wide open staring back at you. You crawl onto bed, knees in the sheets but Jaeyun stops you before you can say a word or fall into the bed by wrapping around your waist, chin at your belly button. Â
âIâve been waiting for you.âÂ
His head turns, nose wrinkling the fabric of your black dress.Â
âI can smell him on you. The alcohol, the incense.â
Your hand ruffles his hair, heart softened by his puppy eyes.Â
âSorry, baby. Iâve been thinking of you.â
His words are dripping with jealousy, so much so you canât tell if heâs angry with you or not.
âYou didnât do anything with him right? I saw you hug outside the door.â
You laugh from bewilderment, you had no idea Jaeyun was watching you enter from the windows now.
âNo, no, heâs my friend.â
âSo itâs only me?â His voice softens.
âYes, it's only you.â
His fingers trail up under the hem of your dress with expectant eyes but you push him back onto the bed, revealing the growing tent in his pants. Â
âAw you really missed me baby. You love me?â you muse.Â
His nod is meek but his eyes ravenous. Jaeyun felt everything strongly, thatâs what youâve noticed. It was as if he didnât have a hold on his emotions. He has mass in the morning, a million things to seek forgiveness for but he lays here in the early hours craving you, aching for you, like itâll kill him to be spared another drop.
And you live to tease him, torment him, ravish him.Â
âThen show me, show me how you touch yourself when Iâm not around,â you demand.
A noise comes from his throat in defiance but once you sit back on your legs waiting he slowly pulls down the zipper of his pants.
âTake it all off,â you say in a flat tone.
His hands push the denim down and lift his sheer white tee off. When heâs left in his boxers, showing the thick outline of his erection you motion for him to continue, and so he does. He lay naked on the white sheets, like an angel with big eyes looking to you for the next command.
When you nod he spits into the palm of his hand and runs it up and down his cock, tightening his hold at the base more and more each time until he chokes out gasps. His free hand plays with his nipples, going back and forth between each one. His hold became suffocatingly tight, slipping down to grope his own balls from time to time.Â
As he picks up the pace and his hips stutter, about to climax you crawl over him, pressing a firm grip, causing his eyes to roll up to you.
The more the sounds from his throat canât make it out you grip tighter in a chokehold.Â
âSing for me baby,â you coo, despite the constriction of his throat.Â
Tears well up in his eyes from the pressure but he continues to pump his cock until he cums all over his stomach, thick white ropes spurting out continuously as his orgasm only continues on. You lick into his mouth drinking all the noise and feeling the heavy exhalation from his nose on your face. He doesnât become flaccid and you hold the base with your fingertips, making him whine and cuss.
âPlease, just let me -fuck-please, let me put it in.â
You smile, kissing the tip of his nose before hiking up your dress and moving your underwear to the side sitting right on it and feeling the stretch burn. Your arousal from watching Jaeyun and his ejaculation mix to ease the tightness as you purposely clench around him into an indescribable sensation. His hands on your hips serve no purpose as his heavy lidded eyes watch you ride with faint movement from himself.Â
âI love, I love it, I love you,â he slurs and youâre on cloud nine. Your midnight flower sees you back. You pull him up to press against you kiss hard on his jugular notch, leaving a purplish mark. He grabs your face, pulling you into a kiss so harsh it's numbing and you canât move on him anymore. He somehow pushes even deeper inside you and a hand leaves your face to fumble with your clit. Your jaw falls slack against his kissing mouth and so he kisses your chin, looking up at you with a lit up expression.Â
âYouâre everything,â he cries against your throat. âI hate you for it.â
You can barely speak with how hard he rubs against your clit and you feel yourself about to come.Â
Throwing your head back your release around his twitching cock that at your orgasm pumps into you, painting your walls white. The both of you sit still breathless as his spent cock softens inside you. You move to get off him and look at the scene between your legs, your cum stuffed pussy dripping onto his belly. Your first instinct is to lick it up, your tongue dragging against the depressions of his abs, down to his dick. At the contact of your tongue he sobs with sensitivity but you continue, putting the entirety of his half hard length in your mouth, feeling the thickness tear your throat as his body wakes up all over again. The lewdness of your actions builds the fire up in you and at the mixing taste of the both of you, you let out a guttural moan. You pull off with a pop, letting his reddened tip drag along your cheek as you hold it there and leave kisses around the base down to his balls and he whimpers, a tone mixed with pain and euphoria. You make music of his voice and push him far down your throat until you gag. Both of you are beyond sensitive but you arch your back and work your mouth on him, using your own free hand to plunge into your hole, pushing his cum deeper inside of you. Jaeyun watches, relishing in the sight of you pleasuring yourself while deepthroating him. His hands run through your hair, moving it back, and pulling it to push your head down even further. You can feel his tip reach the depths of your throat, rubbing your uvula. It doesnât take long for him to ejaculate a third time, this time much less than before allowing you to swallow it all. He gazes at you proud and satisfied. You roll next to him with heavy eyes, exhaustion settling over you but the aching between your legs stronger. You grab his hand, guiding it down to rub your entrance. Jaeyun takes initiative, thrusting and curling not two, but three fingers inside of you. The squelching noises become louder, his thumb is rubbing on your engorged clit as his bony knuckles hit your g spot. Your fingertips place featherlight touches to your nipples, the stimulation pushing you further.
âJae- Jaeyun harder,â you whine. Â
Jaeyun picks up the pace, pushing your hands away from your chest with his nose and latching onto your hard nipples, sucking until you feel bruised. You can feel yourself climaxing once more and grip his bicep, riding his fingers, making his thumb brush against your clit with more friction. You squirt out onto his fingers, dampening his forearm, and for the first time he really laughs. He stares in amazement, eyelids hardly lifting as the both of you become sleepy, the sun already rising.Â
Your body is sore in the morning but you hear movement. When you open your eyes you can see Jaeyun going down the stairs in his Sunday best. You decide church isnât for you this week, rather you enjoy being by yourself for a time. The sound of the door closing and lock turning brings you out of bed where you can properly see the mess disaster of yourself in the mirror. Smudged mascara, dried cum between your legs, hiked up dress, tangled hair, God you look terrible. You pull your dress down before taking it off completely and stepping into the shower, cold water quickly becomes scorching and relieves your muscles like a massage. When you leave the shower you look clean and pretty once more, a face that didnât need makeup because your natural features shone beyond getting dolled up. As you towel dry your hair you walk throughout the house, deciding to wander into Jaeyunâs room. Much isnât different since he moved into the room as it was but some of his things scatter the room and you go through them. Button ups line the closet, socks are on the floor, his laptop at the desk, a tie on the side table, and also a bookmarked Bible. You sit on the bed, looking at how thereâs only two bookmarks within the Bible. Using your free hand to flip to the pages you see the first is 2 Peter 2:4, the second Jude 1:6, with an envelope sitting in between. You let your damp towel fall to the bed, reaching to open the unsealed envelope, inside is a polaroid, Jayeun singing from the old platform you used to look up to him on in your undergrad years. The light in his eyes glimmers even through a photograph. Those years feel so far away now. When you flip it over you see two names, one too familiar for you to stomach.Â
It reads âTo JAKE, From Jay.â
Like your Jay? And if Jaeyun is in the photo why is it for Jake, but Jaeyun does have the photo? This means Jay knew Jaeyun longer than he said he did?Â
Your mind is spinning with questions you canât get immediate answers to. You fight between taking the polaroid or leaving it in its rightful place. In the end you take it with you, pulling on the first clothes you see in your closet, running out to your car with wet hair, all the beat Jaeyun before he comes home.
In a daze you find yourself parked in front of Jayâs apartment, the image of Jaeyun tucked in your back pocket. You were never this rash before but you go up to his room, taking the stairs, allowing you to fully think about what youâre going to do. Will you confront him, bring it up smoothly, what even is your excuse for being here that youâll say?Â
When youâre standing in front of his door you knock slowly, each gesture full of contemplation.Â
He takes a while to open up, but the most unfamiliar of smiles is on his face.Â
âJay?â you question, voice almost quivering from your irrational anxiety.Â
He pulls you in, giving you a generous hug that you fall into, his hand falling on the small of your back right about the pocket where the polaroid sits.Â
His voice is brimming with elation as he pulls away and gives you the news,
âAfter I got a call back from my OCI they called with an offer for a big firm in Chicago. Literally, just now.â
His smile reflects a brightness taking away from the fatigue in his eyes. Itâs the best thing that couldâve happened for him, but Chicago is hours upon hours away. If he gets an official job offer down the line heâd live in Chicago after his last three years of school.Â
âThatâs amazing,â you laugh, going in to hug him again to hide your face.
He spins you around, with energy unbeknownst to you.Â
âSo next summer you wonât be here?â
He shakes his head, smirking, defining his dimples.Â
âSo, whatâd you come over for?â he questions.
The words you never sorted out remain stifled in your throat.
âOh, I couldnât find my gym membership card, I thought maybe it fell out of my bag yesterday when you moved me to the taxi.â
Jay shakes his head, âNah I definitely wouldâve seen it, this place is small.âÂ
You nod slowly, staring off at the floor before getting up and going to the door. Yet, before you can go you turn to look at Jay.
âHey, Jay?â you call out.
âMhm.â
âYou tell me everything right?â
He walks over to you at the door, leaning against the frame with a puzzled look.Â
âYeah, why?â
Your eyes flicker between his eyes, the door, and the exposed skin of his collarbones.Â
âI was just thinking, itâs nothing.â
His eyes are angular, the sharpness driving into your bones the more you stare into them, despite the look behind being tender. You leave a peck on his cheek, something youâve never done before and say congratulations before leaving. When your hands are on your steering wheel, car in drive but foot on the brake you canât understand why you begin to cry. Tears water your lap as your forehead rests against the back of your hands. It bubbles inside you and pours out without restraint. On the ride home your tears dry into the redness around your eyes, hair still partially damp. The house is still empty, Jaeyun is still at church or wherever he may be now. Itâs not like heâs yours for you to know everything about anyway. You go back to his room, placing the photo in its rightful place, reading the first highlighted without a second thought. Surely, the both of you needed something beyond forgiveness at this point. You sacrifice all your chances at redemption. Repentance is lost on you. Yet, for Jaeyun, beyond his instability he seems to be a good person in contrast to you. You feel dirty looking at the signs of his worship, the ones you taint. It churns in your stomach until it becomes an irrational anger. You may have not lived admirably but you lived honestly and most couldnât say that. Fuck them, theyâre always lying about everything. Lying to themselves, lying to you like itâs nothing, just to smile in the morning like theyâre angels. Fucking dirty bastards. You drop onto the bed, the smell of linen and laundry reminiscent of Jaeyun soaked by your resurfaced tears. You grip at the bedsheets as if you could rip them apart. Your chest heaves like your heart is placed outside your chest. Body still, gazing off into nothing as you zone off in the abyss of your thoughts you perk up at the sound of the door, itâs noon, heâs late. You run to the bathroom, looking at your puffy and irritated eyes in the mirror. Hunched over the sink counter you hide until your face calms down. His steps echo throughout the house but you hold your breath as if youâll be caught with emotions on your face you canât explain. When Jaeyun calls for you, you tell him youâre in the bathroom and youâll be out in a minute. The minute lasts ten and he calls for you again. Your face only has tinges of your tantrum, but with your demeanor Jaeyun canât tell your mood. You wave to him as you pass his room to go downstairs, where he sits in the same place you cried. Once downstairs you stand in the kitchen, subconsciously moving around, opening the fridge, washing vegetables, dicing them, thawing chicken. In the end you make an entire dish. Jaeyun comes up behind you, noting the fragrant smell. You turn to him with a small smile, asking him to sit down and eat with you. Your chin is in the palm of your hand, watching him quietly stuff his mouth. You look back down to your own plate and stab your fork at the steamed vegetables alongside the chicken. Itâs actually surprisingly good for someone like you who doesnât often cook. Jaeyun finishes his serving quickly so you get up to get him seconds from the pans sitting on the stove. He stops you from getting up, saying you did more than enough but you get up regardless and spin on your feet to stand behind his chair. He looks up at you, the whites of his eyes showing with curiosity. You cradle his jaw and lay two soft kisses on his cheek, where the suppleness of his skin melts your lips. He looks at you dumbfounded but you continue, wrapping your arms around him in a gentle embrace.Â
âJaeyun,â you mutter, âcan you just stay with me.â
His fingertips come up to rub back and forth against the knuckles of your hand in a soothing gesture while he leans into your hold.
âOf course.â
You kiss his cheek once more, longer now, letting your face nuzzle his neck.
âThen can you sing for me, Jake.â
You feel his body stiffen.Â
âSing for me like your days on the stage.â
You pull down the collar of his shirt revealing the hickey you left last night, right in the middle of his clavicle.
âMake me yours like I made you mine.â
He pulls away from you but your grip persists, if he wanted he could be rough with you to be free from your hold but he isnât.Â
So you inch closer, mouth hovering above his ear, speaking in a taunting whisper,
âHey Jakey, do you tell God youâre sorry for lying to me?â
He spins around, almost knocking the chair over in a spur of energy.
âIt's not like that.â
âThen whatâs it like? Why Jake? What's that picture about?â
He turns back around, face hidden in the placement of his hand. You can see him pick and choose his words before saying them.
âItâs my baptismal name.â
âMhm and how do you know Jay?â
His head tilts, as if searching through memories.
âIâve known him since college, Iâd sing, he'd play guitar, he even took pictures of me performing sometimes, we were close.â
âNot close anymore?â
âHe just kinda grew distant.â
âOk.â
You repeat yourself, stepping away from Jaeyun.Â
âI met Jay my junior year,â you state to the wall, âI never saw the two of you together. Not once.â
You leave the kitchen, going up to your room where you sit and stare at the wall. Jaeyun doesnât let you fester in your thoughts for long as he comes up the stairs following you, staring at you quietly from the ajar door. You donât look up at him once, aware of his presence but too disoriented to react. When he comes towards you, getting onto the bed and laying his head on your chest to wrap around your waist you look down at him.Â
âIâm sorry,â he mumbles.Â
When you look at it, Jaeyun really didnât do anything to you, it was Jay who was dishonest.Â
You pet his hair, letting your cheek rest there.Â
âIâm not upset with you.â
At that he embraces you tighter, head coming up to kiss your cheek like you kissed his.Â
âJakeâ, you hum.
He brings his head back down and nods against your chest.
âWhy donât you sing anymore?â
You feel his lashes flutter against your collarbone as he blinks.Â
âI canât.â
âWhyâs that?â you question.
He inhales so subtly you wouldnât tell if you couldnât feel it on your bare skin,Â
âItâs my punishment.â
Baffled by his words your tone holds an edge,
âPunishment for what?â
Jaeyun looks up to you, snaking his hands around your neck where he lets his mouth rest.
âWill you love me regardless? Even if I canât be that boy I was back then?â
The moment you attempt to respond he bites down on your neck in a violent kiss. It sears with pain, you feel blood, warmly trickle down, blood that he laps up.Â
He was panicked at the slight uncertainty of your answer. So much so he bites, to confirm the fate he wants.
âNow youâre mine. Just like you wanted.â He speaks with a wet smile.
You almost bite your tongue, still from shock at the sudden behavior.Â
âWhyâd you do that?â you shriek.
His eyes look scarily carnal.
âYou asked me to?â
You begin to laugh, shock, fear, and the absurdity of it all swarming into one reaction.
âI do anything you ask, what are you surprised for?â he questions, so genuinely itâs disturbing.Â
âJaeyun,â you mutter weakly, âWhat are you punished for?â
His eyes bore into yours never wavering.
âFor loving a human. I desired a human.â
âWhat are you talking about, as if youâre not human?â
He speaks so casually while your voice is only more stricken by confusion and fear.
âNow I am.â
The heaviness in the air is interrupted by the ringing of your phone that you jump to pick up. Jaeyun remains on your bed, watching.Â
âHello?â
Itâs Jay. Jaeyun can hear his voice through the phone and leans into you expectantly.Â
âHey, Jay.â
âHey, I was thinking I could treat us to dinner to celebrate my internship.â
You try to keep your voice steady and joke as normal.
âShouldnât I be the one treating you?â
âWhatever celebration is celebration, are you down?â
Youâd do anything to get away from Jaeyun for the evening.
âYeah, today?â
âYeah, today, Bachega at six?â
âBachega at six,â you echo.
Jaeyun says nothing but keeps a watchful eye on you as you slip away from under him to your vanity.Â
The bite on your neck is prominent, it's an eyesore in the mirror and no amount of makeup will cover it up. You style your hair, letting it fall down your shoulders in an attempt to hide something but to no avail. It's summer for godâs sake you canât even wear a turtleneck. You go to your closet rummaging through your clothes and decide on a sheer skinny scarf, matching a tube top you own. Hopefully you look chic instead of ridiculous. The shame youâve put to fashion is only one of many on your list of sins. You sit back down, applying your mascara and rouging your cheeks when Jaeyun makes an offhand comment about you getting pretty for another man.Â
âIâm always pretty,â you sigh.Â
Your answer doesnât satisfy Jaeyun though as he pouts on your bed as if youâve begun to betray him. Infidelity against the covenant he believes you made by letting him claim you.
When you leave for dinner everything feels deafeningly quiet. Your heart is heavy and every action contradicts the adjacent thought. When you want more you reach for less and when you desire to run away you jump in head first. You reassure yourself everything is okay and youâre warping events as you drive downtown to the restaurant. You get there ten minutes before Jay, a cherished ten minutes where you exist in the utter absence of either Jay or Jaeyun. You watch the couples, families, business colleagues, all clink glasses or laugh amongst one another with a carefree spirit you wished to possess in that moment. The peace of strangers made you oddly nostalgic. When Jay arrives you stare nostalgia in the face, a viscerally painful form of it. A fragment of your youth is held inside him, all the secrets you never told anyone else, the nights out he fills the gaps in your memory of, and your formative years into adulthood. He holds it, and without a care. You always knew. You knew Jay put himself first and you know your twisted logic that takes the shape of you prioritizing him is really you thinking of only yourself. It all comes down to his role in your life and nothing else. You stand to greet him, his smile from the morning still present on his face and when you sit back down you speak without inhibition.Â
âYouâre beautiful when you smile.â
âThatâs sudden,â he comments.
You stir your glass of water with your fingertip staring at the ripples.
âYeah, when you played guitar you had the same look. Itâs beautiful.â Mustâve been a face Jaeyun saw often.
âSo youâre happy to see me happy?â
You nod, affirming your gesture with your words,
âI am.â
Jay leans in, taking in your appearance as well.
âAnd what's up with the scarf?â
You curl your lip, giving him a look of faux judgment.Â
âItâs fashion, you wouldnât get it.â
Jay leans back in his chair, shrugging his shoulders.
âYou know, there was a ballerina in a music box that I got in elementary. She sang and danced. I bet itâs in my room somewhere.â
Jay lifts a brow at your statement, confused with where youâre going.
âI always liked music,â you continue. âSo in college Iâd always watch if Jaeyun was singing, he had an alluring voice. I could sit and reminisce for hours the way it once sounded but I know there's no flower you can bring back to life.â You look up to Jay now, whoâs evidently frustrated that at a dinner to celebrate him youâre bringing up that roommate he seems to irrationally dislike. Yet, you run your mouth anyway.Â
âWhen I met you I had no idea you liked music but I know everything about you right? But the things you love that you never shared with me I donât get why. Are those things what made Jaeyun love you? Iâm happy for you though. Really I swear. I can see it too, all the beautiful things in you even if you hide them. You might be a little dirty, but I like that human aspect. Iâm glad I met you. Iâm glad weâre friends.â With no drink but water, you raise a glass to cheers.
âTo Chicago!â
Jay lifts his glass of water to clink with you but his face is showing a blatant confusion.Â
âThanks?â
You nod smiling down at your plate of nothing that doesnât exist because you havenât even ordered.Â
âHeâs crazy, you know, says heâs not human. Or I guess now he is? Whatever the fuck heâs on aboutâ
You look up at Jayâs darkened expression.
âWhat does he mean by that, Jay?â
His eyes dart to the windows before coming back to you.
âI told you not to live with him, I literally told you.â
âBut the polaroid Jay, what does it mean to him? What does it mean to you?â you almost whine.
âWhat fucking polaroid?â
âThe one of him on stage you took and signed!â
His brows and mouth scrunch into a disdain that makes you feel like the subject of his disturbance.
âHe still has that? Wait, why do you know about that?â
âWell whyâd you lie about how you met?â
âWhat the hell does this have to do with my internship?â he almost yells. Before you can snap back the waiter comes, asking for your orders. You choose some random pasta dish and Jay steak, when the waiter is gone the conversation seems to be dropped but the air is awkward.
âYouâre really fucking weird, you know that?â he mutters under his breath.
âSorry,â you spit back with sarcasm.Â
Jay looks around, still not settled in his seat.
âCan I have some of your penne when it comes?âÂ
âIf I can have some of your steak and potato.â
âDeal.â
You share your food when it arrives and talk about the weather in Chicago, the windy city. Jay asks if you always plan to be an editor, making less than your parents do. You say the pay isnât bad when you stay in the business, and with some connections you could get far. Maybe travel to Milan, Paris, you could do anything really but for now youâre comfortable.Â
Afterwards you walk along the sidewalks, only street lamps looming over like the backs of aged folk bent uncomfortably, lighting the way. The road leads to a river, under the arched bridge and visible from the open plaza pavement. Moonlight reflects off the water hypnotically, so you lean and look at the sight from the bridge. Jay behind you, the drapes of your scarf whipping against him in the wind. You donât even notice when he tugs at it, the fabric slipping from your neck with ease. When you turn around he takes in the sight of your bare neck marked in shades of purple and pink, dots of dried blood littering the bruise. Jay doesnât say a word, he only crouches down to you and traces your skin with his middle finger, making you flinch when you realize what heâs revealed. He stands, putting his hands in his pockets and gazing back at the water once more.Â
âI think Iâm gonna go home,â he comments, with no hint of emotion in his voice. He begins to walk away but you soon follow after, telling him to wait up but he wonât listen. The elderly streetlights watch you with pity. Jay doesnât turn once but he doesnât stop you from being one step behind him all the way to his door. When he unlocks the door he turns to you, absorbing the sight shroud in sin. But he canât speak and you donât know why, you can only call his name. The door is open but the both of you still stand in the hallway.
âDonât you have someone waiting for you at home?â he questions distantly.
Your mouth is open but no words are coming out. Itâs pathetic.
Jayâs tone doesnât raise at you but the disappointment is blatant.Â
âYou slept with him?â he asks. His hand reaches out to caress your neck like earlier, coming up to cradle your jaw in a painfully tender gesture.Â
âJay,â your voice is so weak from embarrassment it may have been a whisper.Â
His eyebrows knit together, each clench of his jaw showing the turbulence beneath.
âSo there was more to this? It's from him isnât it?â
He licks and bites at his lips, face turning to the wall as he nods, the pieces coming together.
âSo now heâs stuck to you the way he was to me and you let him?â
You repeat yourself, saying his name like itâs all you know, all you can hold onto. The vein in his forehead becomes prominent, his patience is thin and before you can process it youâre up against the wall, pinned by Jayâs firm grip.Â
It almost hurts, his words though, his words strike through your heart to your soul and leave a haunting pain far greater.Â
âFucking say something. Youâre so empty when I look at you, just like that ballerina in the music box, spinning in circles. Letting yourself fall into something so vapid. Do you even know what you did?Â
Your eyes widen, Jay was never so harsh with his words towards you before, you laugh nervously.
âWhat and like youâre better? You think weâre different?â
âYeah I think weâre different,â he spits.
You laugh but tears are welling in your eyes and rolling down your cheeks like fire to your skin.Â
You shake your head as if youâre losing your mind.
âNo Jay, weâre not. He probably only fucks me cause he sees you in me. Weâre the same.â
He turns, leaving you to enter the apartment, but you trail behind, closing the door. His head snaps back at the sound, heâs enraged at this point.
âWhat? You wanna follow me to know more? You were never here to celebrate me, you made the whole night about yourself.â
âIt was never like that,â your voice is torn, âI came because-âÂ
Youâre cut off by your own sobs.
âIt was always about you. I was about to ask you everything this morning but it felt wrong seeing how happy you were.â
Youâre at the door and heâs by the window. So close but so far.
He canât even look at you. You approach, slowly, staring at his back.
âI just donât want you to leave.â
At those words he turns, looking down at you, his hair casting a shadow on his gaze.
Then his lips are on yours, and you donât know if it's you or him who initiated it.Â
It was desperate, it was soft, it was gentle, so gentle it hurt.Â
âIâm sorry, Iâm sorry.â he whispers into the kiss. Sorry for what, youâll never know. The more you leaned into his touch the more he became needy, lips kissing down your down, to the hickey on your neck. Your tears fell down continuously, a monsoon to your skin, bitten and kissed by Jay.Â
âJust forget him,â he says to your skin. You run your hands through his hair, head thrown back as he positions you to balance on the armrest of the coach. When he comes back up and your eyes interlock youâre met with the shielded fragility now exposed in the dark. Every disgusting layer of the both of you meshes into the entanglement of your bodies. Kisses turn into frantic touches, your shirt is just one article of clothing in the pile of others on the floor, body flipped on the couch letting him enter from behind. It wasnât for pleasure, it was the sheer need of being as close as possible. It was to feel his breath on your back, shallow and warm. To be wiped clean with a greater filth. Thereâs no question it isnât right and the line of friendship is blurred but it doesnât apply to the both of you. You have no reason to care when you have exactly what you want. He holds your hand tight, you can feel his blood pump. Itâs as if your own heart has popped a vessel and you feel it all leak within you, like a slow webbed death.Â
You crawl home in the early morning, dawn not yet arisen. Youâve learned to always expect something from Jaeyun when you get home so when you see him hunched on the stairs it comes without surprise. You walk by him, pretending as if he was a ghost. Rather it wasnât animosity in your heart but an instinctive fear. He latches onto your leg halfway up the stairs, rising behind you to his knees. He doesnât speak, the speech is in his eyes you donât dare look at. His fingertips snake up past skirt, allowing his fingers to enter you and feel the remnants of Jay in you. He pushes deeper into you, the friction making you almost keel from discomfort. When you try to move away he grabs you by the torso and pulls you down, resulting in you falling down the stairs. The throbbing in your back from the fall aches, resounding throughout your limbs.Your body is sprawled beneath him on the floor while he remains on the staircase, peering down at you. That is when youâre faced with the insidious stare. Behind his mask of normalcy was a festering desire, now evident.Â
âYouâve spoiled everything I gave you,â he speaks down at you. âLaid it all to waste.â
But he smiles. A toothy, wide smile all the way to his eyes.
âI forgive you.â
The moonlight reflects on his profile like it did on the river, leaving an almost blue hue on the slope of his nose, down to his lips, illuminating the words.
âI forgive you for all your sins, if you come back to me.â
âYou donât want me,â you cry out, âyou want Jay.â
He shakes his head as if your words are absurd.
âThe only thing I want is you. You wanted me too. Now you have me, arenât you happy?
Why betray me?â
You sit up, resting on your knee in an attempt to calm the double vision but you pass out, the last image filling your sight being Jaeyunâs devilish face.
Cicadas chirp with the rising sun. The light reflects and shoots off the window like diamonds, laying wake to your eyes. It's your bedroom youâre in, sheets tucked in around your shoulders in the sweltering heat making you sweat, still in last night's clothes from what you can tell. You untangle yourself from the sheets and take in your surroundings. Itâs quiet, except for something muffled. When you look at the clock it reads half past eight in the morning. Youâve been unconscious for the past three hours. Once you're by the stairs the noises are more clear, itâs someone crying. You feel yourself go light headed you see faint traces of blood going from the foot of the stairs towards the kitchen to the living room. The air smells metallic, mixed with the dew of the open windows. Regardless of instinct you walk slowly down the stairs, feeling your hands shake as they grip the railing. Just to breathe feels too loud. The cries are Jaeyun, you know it. When you turn at the end of the stairs you have to stifle your screams. The sight was repugnant, a knife on the floor, covered in shades of blood like the hands of Jaeyun which held the lifeless body in his lap. His tears watered the open wounds of the repeatedly stabbed man, mumbling words of regret. Heâs never felt these things before and doesn't know how to control it. He feels it all so strongly, the human emotions he didnât have before. In front of you is the fallen angel, holding his damnation, murdered by his own hand. Now forever forsaken a return to heaven. Forgiveness is lost on him. Youâre on your knees, heaving from shock.
