He grits his teeth through the agony, fighting his body to regain any semblance of control over it, but the panic disorients him. It's no fight. Just pure adrenal terror as the single well of power that was once his alone to draw from now drags him down to drown him. His throat can only gurgle. He reaches out again, grasping at nothing. But this time around, Wukong grabs his hand.

The pain that racked up his spine and crackled up to a burning in his face left his body swimming with a complex array of pain. It wasn't right. This.. curse, it was a mockery of what he once coveted. The scarred face pulled into a musing smile, yet another cruel dagger twisting deeper in his chest. This wasn't meant to kill him, it couldn't. He knew this, and yet he wished he might find reprieve in such a thing, to avoid a sensation that caused much more than physical pain. The sensation manifested in his throat as the figure before him let out another mockingly similar laugh to one he used to let dance across his ears.

"Awe c'mon, Peaches.." They saunter forward to the disoriented ape; cold fingers threading through the strands of hair that hang loosely from the kings scalp, seeking his forgotten crown. "Haven't you missed this?" His stomach twists, he wasn't sure when he moved in response. It was wild, sloppy, attempting to bat away the blackened flesh that caressed him. The advancing stain pulled at the splattered droplets that littered the ground and oozed between his fingers. His face contorted, more of a beast than a man as they pulled his palm against their own.

"Such a face.." They purred.

"I know what you're doing, should stop while your ahead." He mustered his most convincing grin, with it a vibrato that had gotten him through worse situations decorating his dread with charisma. This however losing its convincing flare as his fingers curl into the rolls of their scarf. "Drop the act already."

The shadow.. no.. Curse.. Chuckled,

"Careful~" They mused, lips too close for comfort. "You might trick me into loving you again.."

He was going to do something very un-sage like if this thing didn't back off.
