I'm Lumiana, I'm 20 as of Halloween '25. I'm alterhuman in the sense that my body feels like it is supposed to be able to change into different beings but just can't. I often get stuck with different morphs and can either meditate them away / change them or live with them for however long they're there.

This blog is mostly about my alterhumanity. If I decide make another blog, I'll link it here.

I'm one of like 5 people in the whole alterhuman community that is cis and 100% comfortable with it. On top of that, I'm a shapeshifter, so technically, I could be anything, but every one of my forms is female. I'm ✨️rare✨️

I thought I had my identity all figured out. Then the last few weeks happened.

Suddenly I'm simultaneously having a gender crisis (sexuality too on the sidelines), finding out I may have used to be a system at one point, thinking I could possibly be an age and / or pet regressor and oh, btw! Intrusive thoughts are saying hello again after some time off. Also, my shifts have gotten rare to the point of questioning wether I truly am alterhuman or just made it all up and just desperately wanted to believe it (wouldn't be a first for me) lately, only to be randomly in my true body again for a sec one time?

It's cool to figure stuff out and rediscover myself but fcking ONE IDENTITY CRISIS AT A TIME PLEASE!!!

I'm very fluid in my identity, some days I'm this, some days I'm that. It's commonly influenced from outside, especially with me being a bit of a mirror towards other species, copying what I see with my own twist to it.

I shift easily if I wish to do so, I gain wings if I wish to fly, strong legs for running and I might turn into a fishy creature whenever I dive right into the water. My shifts are gentle, like a wave of calm energy swishing through me.

This tends to translate into my visible human form a bit as well. Right now I'm shifted into a cat, which makes me far more sensitive to sound (which I already am cuz if the quiet of space being my home), and I also walk a bit differently, more quick movements instead of the straight, slow walk I have other times.

I can be everything I imagine and I love it

Friend of mine had an interesting thought regarding alterhumans, nonhumana, and/or therians, and at this point there's 4 of us that seem to be more or less fitting the idea.

@lumianaroseye Is the one who came up with this, I'm just spreading it around like peanut butter on tumblr bread.

So, here's the idea:

What if we're all just animals/beings that took over a human body when it was supposed to die? The human left, now we're here because we were wandering around and saw this empty vessel lying dormant.

I won't explain what the others experiences are, but I will add my own. When my mother found out about my being conceived, she told my bio dad, who immediately said to get an abortion. So, by that logic, I was meant to be aborted. Mine's probably the least "I'm not supposed to be here" of the four, however I'm still adding it.

To add to the story, I will put mine:

(For context, I am a shapeshifter who, in order to experience fulfillment and companionship, chose to live a human life on earth. However, I do not know how exactly it all works and happened, as I lost most of my memories)

I was not really meant to even be conceived or born, as my mother had several miscarriages before me. She also had a horrible pregnancy with lots of hospital stays. And after that, baby me always cried for seemingly no reason, and I was always very small for my age (still am).

My theory is based on a type of soul cycle and also a fact that is very easily observable, which is that a huge chunk of the alterhuman community is either disabled or trans. It would make sense for the existence of most of these alterhumans to be based on a mix-up of souls.

Pls do tag me in any theories regarding this, I'd love some more opinions on this.

Hi, I js wanted to ask cause I saw a post and-it’s possible to be a shapeshifter? You don’t just have to be one? You dont just have to stay as one form? ITS POSSIBLE TO BE A SHAPESHIFTER?

Shapeshifter Otherkin are rare, but we exist! It is very much possible! Just like how gender doesn't have to be static (genderfluid people, for example), Alterhumanity doesn't have to be either!

Here's a fun (and free) tip for the creatures who can't figure out what they are:

Step One: First, you need Pinterest (or a similar app, even Google can work). You type in anything you generally like or feel comforted by. This can be a color, an animal, the sky, a character, literally anything.

Step Two: You're gonna scroll around until you find something that hits you in the heart, even just a little bit. A really beautiful sky picture or maybe a drawing you cannot scroll away from for seemingly no reason. You put that picture into a new folder (mine is just titled "me").

Step Three: Look through the similar pictures below the one you saved. If you can't find smth that hits, either pick the next best one and continue from there, or search for something else. Repeat Steps One and Two until you have a nicely filled folder.

Step Four: Go through your new folder. Look at every picture and feel it out. What about it feels like you? Does the whole picture hit? Or maybe just a singular claw on a random animal? Is the time of day just perfect? Maybe a color scheme you resonate with?

Step Five: Do whatever you want with the results. Make a collage of the itty bitties of pictures you liked. Write down how you felt about each one in a short sentence. Try and draw them out (if you can) and see how it feels. Just whatever works for you.
