Perhaps the saddest thing about our relationship with God is that unlike a relationship that we have with another person, if we ever become distant, it’s always our fault.

It is never God’s fault, and yet He is so kind to us and always encourages us to turn back to Him regardless of how much our guilt overwhelms us.

His Mercy always outweighs our mistakes, as long as we accept that we have done wrong, and turn back to Him with a heavy heart. A heavy heart, that only He can lighten.

I don’t understand how Muslims can make sense of the idea that when they see someone sin, they shun them, rather than bringing them in so that they can show them the better way to do things.

Nothing infuriates me more.

You know what the person does? 99 times out of a 100 they go deeper into that sin. You say you don’t want to be responsible for condoning their sins by being around them, but if you’re pushing them to do that sin more, what kind of responsibility do you think you have then?
