We are emotional beings. Sometimes though, we let our emotions take us places and make us do things we normally would not do. Feel your emotions and understand them. Then RESPOND, DON'T REACT. Responding means that you carefully think about what you will do or say next in response to what has happened that's made you feel how you feel. Think. You can also respond from the heart. You have to be sure to feel and understand the intial emotions that make you want to react a certain way, but then you have to center yourself and decide the best way to proceed from that centered clear place. This requires coherence of the mind and heart.

After leaving Christianity I thought that I would never again regain something as great as that loving god to live for. The rush of believing in something so much and wanting something so bad, that I’d do anything for it. The thought of serving the highest good. Giving my life to help save the world.

I’ve felt an emptiness and lack of motivation and purpose for a while since then. I’ve wavered between livig a high moral life and living a life of moral destitution finely tuned to my liking. I’ve searched and looked for something to commit myself to as I did in the past. Something for which I could commit my entire essence.

 How sweet it is to give your whole being to a worthy cause. Even sweeter is it, when you share that path and passion with like minded individuals. Its you against the world. Truely.

These days I feel around for something worthy enough to give all of my being to. All my reading of manga, philosophy, and religious and esoteric texts, my watching and listening to philosophers, scholars, and philosophical entertainment. It’s all been to look for a worthy idea or cause to dedicate myself to. But somehow, out of everything that I have looked at, out of every good cause that exists to truly help humanity, nothing seems to measure up to the idea of serving a god.

It seemed this way for the longest until today. I saw and felt a hint at an idea that may be just as worthy if not more worthy.

We are young. We're figuring life out. Figuring ourselves out. People are healing and growing. Healing from past hurts, growing out of old habits which served to protect us, but  now are nothing more than the walls of a comfortable prison cell.  The keyholder, none other than one's self, gazes at the door every day. Andwhile it may be hard to believe, it is true however, that many of us like our prison cells. But, one will find that if they do not open the door and free themselves, then they will ensure their own demise. To stay in the comforts of the cell is to limit one's self to a life lived in fear. To leave the cell behind is to once more make ourselves open and vulnerable to the people and world around us. Taking opportunities and risks we'd have never even considered inside the walls of the cell. What does it take to leave the cell? One might say courage or strength. Hope and faith. Purpose. Love. Maybe all that is needed is an absence of fear. Being in a state of not fear. After all, the only thing that really stops anyone from doing anything is their own giving in to fear.  What does it take to leave the cell? One might say courage or strength. Hope and faith. Material objects. Money. Power. Purpose. Love... Maybe all that is needed is an absence of fear. Being in a state of not fear. After all, the only thing that really stops anyone from doing anything is their own giving in to fear. For anyone still imprisoned that understands this, all that now remains for them to obtain freedom and to truly live once again is the resolve to not give in to fear by nourishing themselves with hope, faith, vision, love, and purpose.
