Her bottom lip trembles. Frankly, it is something she has asked herself a couple of times, because he does. Because she likes playing pianoforte for him and how much he seems to enjoy listening to it. Music is surely her greatest passion and interest and getting to share it with people she cares about is one of the greatest ways she can express love towards someone, it's something she has shared with her family ever since she was a child and watched Daphne playing for the first time.

And she does like sharing it with John, she does. He keeps her company. He holds her hand as well as Anthony does and she likes his smile.

Plus, he doesn't speak too loud, much like herself. Pleasant is a word she'd use. It's the reason she chose to marry him in the first place. Because among every other men in the ton, he was the only one who made her feel comfortable.

"Well... John is a great friend to me, papa." She replies at last, a smile as gentle as usual on her lips. "So.. I believe he does make me happy."

Why would someone who already has magic even need a Sorceress Yennefer was not sure. Perhaps they needed someone to help them learn to control their Chaos or something of the sort, but either way, it is a mystery. But of course, she wouldn't deny this job. Being hired by a kind kingdom was the best outcome for someone who had just stepped out of Aretuza and she wouldn't deny any jobs.

Besides, there weren't any babies or small children. No reminder of the choice she had made. All she had to do was help out the future queen, who was single and an adult. And that should be easy enough.

What she was not expecting was for the castle to be so... Well, empty. And for the princess to look so miserable. She wasn't a small child, but she was still young enough and Yennefer easily recognized the portrait of absolute misery in a young face.

She knew about that too well.

Still, the princess guided her to where the future queen resided, wishing her "good luck" with trying to get her to open the door, and stepping away before she could see if Yennefer would get such luck or not, as if she didn't want to see it.

Yennefer isn't fazed by it. She's been through a lot worse. So, she approaches the door and knocks on it slowly.

"Your Highness? It is Yennefer. I believe you have hired me?"
