what do u guys think is the most canon version of ethan's personality. like the one that makes the most sense based off material pokemon has released.

i've always thought like.. cheeky and mischievous was the vibe he was meant to have. he seemed to have been designed to be sort of an Anti Red in a way. considering gsc was a sequel they probably wanted to reverse-ish the vibe of the protagonist and yet also make them similar at the same time. two sides of the same coin... yk..

while red was made to be the happy go lucky hero type ethan seemed to be created with the idea that they were making a bit of a delinquent. not the type of delinquent SILVER is, but the type of sorta rebellious that would 100% go and graffiti the annoying neighbor's fence with a can of spray paint he stole from the garage but alsoooo is overall well meaning at heart

red's hat is front facing. ethans is backwards. red has short sleeves. ethan has long sleeves. red has long pants. ethan has shorts. red's colors seem more reclusive with the blue but ethan has the yellow that makes him stand out more... and them originally wanting to add the option of having a skateboard instead of a bike in gsc

i also feel like rivals were specifically made to be similar to the protagonist back then. no concrete proof for this but i just have a feeling.. they were made to mesh perfectly together...

red+blue both have that competitive nature that brings them together throughout the game, for better or for worse

ethan+silver both have that sorta rebellious vibe to them which is likely what kept them continuously intrigued by eachother aaaand fuck. this turned into a hibisil post

Okay, so here’s the updated plans for fighting against youtube's new ai age policy and privacy violating rule (I believe in us!)

Plan 1. Black out and leave youtube/ youtube boycott (August 13 to the point where the policy is gone)

It’s a very simple plan, but this time we just leave until it’s fully reversed. That way YouTube doesn’t just ignore us and the original black out. We have to stand our ground and show them we aren’t going to give up. We have to last as long as possible and let their revenue drain until they concede or someone else comes in and makes another platform (that isn’t based on politics but the same ideas as the original YouTube)

Plus I would like to add some small extra things that will help with the blackout though. That being mass downloading YouTube content. Now this might be the easiest thing for certain people, but it’s something.

Mass downloading YouTube content can help in case there a couple of videos or channels you want to watch during the blackout.

(I use something called a ytdlp but there might be better options for you out there, there might even be built in ones in a web browser or two, just search around the place, you'll find it eventually)

Forget what I said about alternatives that block YouTube, avoid anything that even remotely connects to YouTube. If it connects to YouTube it still provides traffic and helps it out, we want to disconnect from it completely, don’t let it have a drop of traffic

Plan 2. Bugging the crap out of them.

Now since they have a mail box for us to use, that can be used for our advantage here. So here’s what we do, send them letters asking them to reverse the decision, that way they will be overwhelmed by letters that have to eventually give up. Now I don't want you guys to send out slurs, curses or whatever. I need you guys to be kind and critical. I want you to point everything wrong with this and why it is destined to fail and leave the company crumbling

In addition to these letters, if at all possible, I want you guys to include photos of comments made by other people (Twitter, tumblr, whatever) criticizing this and making it known that it’s not just you guys who are angry, but people all over too.

Now we can also include emails in this, but that might be harder than excepted, but in case you do want to send in a email, you can send it that way

I can't find any other way of sending them an email, but good to you if you do find it (though I would recommend a letter much more)

UPDATE, someone has pointed out that we should all send out our letters on a single day, Im taking around August 5th about a week before the thing actually rolls out and than maybe we’ll do another batch on the 8th just in case

I wish I could say this plan was finished, but unfortunately, it is not at all. All we have to go for here to filing a complaint towards the FTC about this and or using what this user recommneds (though I can't fully say if it'll work or not)

This plan will be worked on as much as possible

I want everyone if they can to spread to outside of tumblr, talk about it on twitter, facebook, blusky, youtube itself, this plan has to spread to as much people as possible.

I believe we can do our best and shine a light through these horrible times, we can be light in the darkness that will help others shine a burn a hole in this horrible system of censorship

Genuinely disturbing how missionary "work" is still so normal. Like I do not understand how anyone can listen to someone talk about their cutesy little Christian colonizer vacation to a deeply exploited community and not just be horrified and disgusted.

Not just normal, but lauded. Missionaries are praised for (supposedly) bringing resources and infrastructure to impoverished people without it ever being acknowledged that 1) that aid is contingent on converting and abandoning local beliefs and traditions and 2) those communities are usually only impoverished in the first place because of Christian colonialist empires.

It boggles my mind that people will talk about somebody's missionary work like it was some act of charity and self-sacrifice when it's really just going up to a bunch of people who are starving to death and telling them you'll give them some rice if they join your cult. It's 50% White Man's Burden and 50% extortion racket.

Missionary-built houses are often made with incredibly cheap materials by people who are absolutely not qualified for that work AND they aren't designed with the cultural and social needs of the people they're for or the climate and infrastructure of the area in mind. Immediate aid like bottled water produce even more trash and pollutants that many communities are not equipped to handle. Farming methods taught often aren't designed for the area or climate and don't fully provide for the nutritional needs of the community (and then those people are demonized for poaching by Westerners who don't understand that an animal being endangered means very little when your family is starving). Even educational materials are poorly translated, Western-centric, and strictly Christian (along with often being controlled and modified by extremist, militant, and terrorist groups that control the areas).

Disney has quietly released its first AI-produced animated series.

Disney Has Started Feeding Your Kids AI Slop

“Earlier this week, with little fanfare or announcement, Disney and French-based AI-animation company Animaj released the first episodes of Ozzy Fox, an animated musical series targeting young children.

The first two episodes are available now on YouTube and are a big step forward in Disney’s plans to embrace AI slop.”

The two episodes have already received over 750,000 views. The series features a family of anthropomorphic foxes,

and each episode will seemingly revolve around a song designed to help kids go to the bathroom, do their chores, and so on.

CartoonBrew reports no press release was sent out ahead of the show’s launch and that it was told the companies want the launch to “speak for itself.”

“It’s that kind of AI-generated look where everything is a bit too smooth, shiny, and sharp.

I also noticed a few oddities, like a railing that seems unfinished in the background of many shots and a piano that seems to be missing most of its bottom half.

I also find it very telling that, as far as I can tell, there are no numbers or letters seen in the background. Hmm.”
