These two foraged side by side together for about 10-15 minutes before the egret decided I was too close and took off. I love getting to see different species interact with each other 🥰

If I may, some people are very attached to the whole "im the most oppressed out of everyone in the world" because it means they dont have to confront their biases and unlearn their bigotry against anyone else, since bigotry against anyone else is automatically "punching up" and therefore justified and righteous, and taking away that possibility is a sign of oppression against them.

If you live in Texas and intend to vote during midterms, do not assume you'll get to vote on election day. You need to vote during early voting.

We already saw during the primaries that the GOP is cutting as many polling places as possible so people can't make it in time or aren't able to stand in line long enough to vote.

Tarrant County is about to have a vote to cut about half of their polling sites. Expect more of that in your area, and expect that you might not hear about it.

Lon Burnam, a former Texas House Democrat, was carried out of the meeting by deputies who told him he was under arrest.

Also, check REPEATEDLY that you're registered to vote, especially as we get closer to the election! Just because you were registered in March doesn't necessarily mean you'll still be registered in November.

The last day to register to vote in the midterms is October 5.

The early voting is October 19 thru October 30.

i think one of the reasons that lots of ppl rlly venerate past runs of comics while ruthlessly dunking on any modern comic is that comics are told over a very long period of time in very small increments, and so often it’s easier to see how any given story fits into a larger narrative and appreciate it on that level in extreme hindsight. i also think often the work of other writers further down the line create context for a given arc or narrative
