I'm curious: what would be the alternate ending to I Love You pt.2? You maybe hinted something along the lines of "you're lucky you asked for a happy ending" so. I know it'll make me cry but hey let's go I Love You alt ending pls 😭

It begins. Part 1

     Crawling; that’s what time was doing. It felt like the hands of the clock had hardly moved since the last twenty times you’d looked at them. The monotony of the day was taking it’s toll. The rhythmic tapping of your fingers had begun to irritate you.

     Normally, the room’s TV would be on to provide white noise and keep everyone aware of potential threats. Said device was being replaced and the two responsible had a time and a half mounting the thing in the first place. The sheer confusion of what wire went where drug the process out even longer. One of your coworkers had taken to leaning over to tell you how many irritated looks had been shot toward the two since they’d come in. Last count was 27.

     The dull vibrating of your phone caught your attention. Pulling it out of your bag, you were greeted with the image of your smiling boyfriend. 

     The memory it came from surfaced and you unconsciously smiled back. You had taken a few months ago. Izuku had taken you out to dinner to celebrate your anniversary. Afterward, he had led you into a local park. 

     Not long into the walk, he had covered your eyes. He simply asked you to trust him as he led you forward. Fairy lights hung from the trees above you and lit your path. Looking between him and the lights in awe, Izuku sheepishly told you that he’d “called in a favor.” You’d teased him a little before the two of you burst out laughing. The moment had been so perfect, straight out of a storybook, you couldn’t help but capture it in a photo.

     Shaking yourself from your reverie, you answered the call. “Hey, Zuku! What’s up?”

     His greeting came after a slight pause. At first, you’d brushed it off, but you grew more concerned as the conversation carried on. His replies were often short and quiet. Several times, you’d left openings he’d usually take to rant. He’d used each one to inquire about you instead. How you were, how your day had been, what you were up to. While it wasn’t abnormal for him to show concern for you, the combination of things had you slightly worried.

     “Are you feeling alright?” You waited, brows furrowed in anticipation of his answer.

     “Just a little tired. Patrol was rough today.” The exhaustion was clear in his voice. You almost felt bad for keeping him on the phone instead of resting, but the desire to comfort him in some way outweighed that feeling.

     “I’m sorry. Hmmm... what can we do to cheer you up? Oh, I know. When we get home: you, me, comfy clothes, snacks, and some movies. What do you think?”

     A soft chuckle came through your speaker. “That sounds nice.”

     “What do you think we should watch? Action? Fantasy? Maybe a documentary? Slip some romcoms in there somewhere?” You’d always found it funny how flustered Izuku could get from the romance scenes. On occasion, you’d recreate the scenes to watch his face and ears flush bright red. Whispered quotes as you wrapped your arms around him from behind would leave him stumbling over his words. Light brushes of your lips over his scared hand left him reeling. You’d have given anything to feel his warmth as you embraced him.

     “Hey, [Y/N]?” You hummed in acknowledgement. “I love you. You know that, right?”

     It had sounded wrong. Your Izuku had said those three words many times in many different ways, but never like that. Never had they felt as ominous as they did then. “I know. I love you too, Izuku. Are you sure you’re feeling alright though?” You knew he was tired, but this felt different.

     “I’m fine. I’ll see you when I get home.” You heard the call end but had to check to be sure. It wasn’t like him to hang up like that. It had only made you more concerned. 

     Over the course of the call, the TV had finally been installed and your manager had come out to turn on the news. Instantly, bright shades of red, yellow, and orange plastered themselves on the screen. At the bottom of the screen, “VILLAIN ATTACK” made its way across the headline bar before reappearing at the other side.

    You and many of your coworkers had approached the screen, hastily searching to confirm their fears for the worst to be wrong. Someone had dashed out the door without another word. Your feet had remained planted where you stood. The names of the heroes on scene droned on, but only one caught your ear: Deku.

     Where is he? You couldn’t find him on the screen. An uproar came from off to the side of the reporter on sight. The camera turned to look for the cause of the commotion. 

     Your blood ran cold. No. No no no. Please, no. Not him. Dynamight came through the crowd as quickly as he could, yelling for everyone to get out of the way. A figure clad in dark green was draped across his back. As Dynamight hurtled past the reporter to reach the nearest ambulance, she took note of the blood staining Deku’s side and the panic on the explosion hero’s face.

     That was the last thing you stayed to hear. As soon as you registered the blood, you’d sprinted out of the building, racing to get to the hospital closest to the scene of the attack. Please.

 ...Izuku had been pronounced dead before he’d made it to the hospital.

Cheating

My attempt at an apology for not really posting often. Fluff btw

Eijirou Kirishima

- You’ve been on a winning streak in Mario Cart

- No matter what vehicle he’s chosen, he hasn’t been able to catch you

- Always getting hit with a shell or not quite drifting enough and flying off the course

- It’s the third lap and the two of you are neck and neck

- Both of you are curled forward with a competitive glint shining in your eyes

- He’s careful not to lean too far as to avoid bumping into your cross-legged figure on the floor in the space between his legs 

- That’s when he gets the idea

- With all of your focus on the screen, you don’t notice the subtle shift in Kirishima’s position

- Still clutching the controller, he brings his arms around you and pulls you into him

- He pulls ahead before you can recover

- Kirishima laughs as you struggle to move your trapped arms and retake the lead

- Once he’s flown over the finish line, he lets out an excited “Yes!”

- You look up at him with a pout

-He smiles and gives you a quick peck on the lips, bringing a grin to your own

- “Cheater.” The two of you laugh before starting another race

Katsuki Bakugo

- “Damnit!”

- Bakugo was fuming

- It was one of the rare times where the two of you had the day off and you had convinced him to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

- Initially, he had loudly exclaimed that it was dumb and that the time would be better spent training

- However, as much as he hates to admit it, he’s a sucker for you

- He would often be dragged to Baku Squad game nights, so the game wasn’t unfamiliar

-Bakugo typically crushed the others ruthlessly

- What he hadn’t anticipated was your skill with a certain pink orb

- After what felt like the hundredth defeat, Bakugo had had enough 

- In the next match, he waited until you had taken enough damage to enact his plan

- You jumped when you felt his hand cup your face

- He pulled you into a kiss that took your breath away

- It also took your attention with it

- Once he was sure you’d stopped paying attention, he swiftly sent Kirby flying off the edge

- Hearing the sound of the strike, you pulled away and quickly worked to get back on the screen

- “Ha, good luck recovering from that!”

- Bakugo quickly ate his words when a spiked black ball hailing shot down from above and crushed his character 

- “It’ll take more than a little cheating to beat me,” you said smugly

Izuku Midoriya

- The wind rushed past your face as your feet pounded against the sidewalk

- Every Saturday neither of you were busy, you and Midoriya went on a morning run

- What once started as just a casual way to hang out and train at the same time turned into a sort of competition

- There was a small café at the end of the route the two of you ran

- Once you’d tried it, the two of you were hooked

- The only problem was the disagreement on who would pay

- You solved this disagreement by turning your run into a race

- While most people would say loser has to pay, you two are a bit different

- Instead, the winner gets to pay

-That leads to where we are now

- You had managed to gain the upper hand with Midoriya at your heels

- The café slowly came into view

- Upon seeing it, Midoriya saw that he was running out of time to pull ahead

- He remembered that you had paid last time and it fueled his desire to win

- Midoriya activated his quirk and shot forward, reaching the door before you got the chance

- “Cheating! Cheating, I say! You can’t just use your quirk to win,” you laughed while trying to catch your breath

- “I don’t remember establishing any rules,” he smiled

- “Next time, it’s on.”

I Love You pt.2

    Beep. Beep. Beep.

     Slowly, Midoriya’s eyes peeled open. He was greeted by a blinding light. After his eyes adjusted, he found the source was a window. He had a view of the azure sky with suspended spots of white. The vital sign monitor continued to drone on, lines going up and down.

     There was an odd warmth to his side. Turning that way, he was shaken from his dazed state by what, or who, it was.

     Your head rested on one arm, the other holding his hand. Disheveled hair and an oversized hoodie. You looked at peace. On a normal occasion, this would have made Midoriya melt. But, he was too keen to be blind to other factors.

     Dark circles told of sleepless nights. Softly brushing a knuckle over them, he wondered when the last time you’d slept was. He brushed a thumb over your lips, thinking about whether or not you’d been drinking enough water. 

     The light touches brought you out of your much needed slumber, but you could have cared less. Izuku was here. He was awake. He was alive. 

     “Oh, sorry I woke you. You look tired. When was the last time you got a good night’s sleep?” You continued to stare for a few more moments before laughing softly.

     “You’re unconscious for days and the first thing you do when you wake up is worry about me?”

     “I’m... sorry?” Both chuckled at the response. He caught your lack of joy and lightly grabbed your chin. The gesture returned your gaze to his eyes. A silent question swam within the green.

     You sighed after a lengthy pause. “You told me you were fine, Izuku. You said you were alright.”

     “I didn’t want to worry you.”

     “Worry me?” You looked at him with with eyes welling with tears. Gesturing around the room, you continued, “And this wouldn’t worry me? I almost lost you. Do you know how scared I was?” 

     “I really am sorry, [Y/N].” He pressed his forehead to yours. The two of you basked in one another's presence. The relief that came with the gesture flooded your senses as you finally felt you could breath.

     Not long after, the doctor came in. He said they wouldn’t have to keep Izuku for too long. He also recommended a short break from hero work, which was understandable. You had messaged your friends to tell them that Midoriya was awake.

     Everyone was happy to see that he was okay. Mineta had brought another “get well soon melon.”

     “I’m glad your alright, Deku!”

     “Yeah, you really had us worried.”

     Chatter filled the silence of the room. When the conversation drifted to the battle, a thought had crossed Midoriya’s mind. He looked out his friends and asked, “Hey, guys? Who did find me that day?”

     A quiet “tsk” came from the back of the room before Kirishima answered, “Bakubro was the one who brought you to the ambulance.”

     The group parted before Bakugo, giving Midoriya a clear view of the explosive blonde. Izuku smiled at his childhood friend. “Thank you, Kacchan.”

     “Whatever, you damn nerd. Just be more careful next time. I won’t be hauling you back again. Don’t forget you’ve got someone to go home to either.” He jutted his chin in your direction before glaring at the wall again.

     Before you knew it, Izuku was cleared to come home.  On the car ride back, he turned to you. “How about, when we get home; you, me, comfy clothes, snacks, and some movies?” You both laughed at his recitation of your proposition not so long ago. It was good to have him back.
