First Kiss - Sihtric

"Come away with me." He says. "I can't." You whisper. "Why not, you are a free woman." Sihtric hisses. "I am a shieldmaiden, I can't just run away." You tell him. He pouts at you. But you still shake your head. "I am sorry." You say softly.

Sihtric scoffs.

"You think me unworthy, don't you?" He accuses. "Nonsense!" You yell back. "You are a shieldmaiden and I am just a slave! That is why you won't run away with me." His words hit home. And he is not entirely wrong. He has nothing to lose except his life, whereas you likely won't be killed should they catch you. And if they won't, you'll lose everything you have. Everything except him. And you can't bear the thought of losing him. And you know Sihtric is miserable in Dunholm. Sven and Kjartan see to that. It is where his mother was killed.

You take his hand. "Join Tekil and make your escape. I will try to free Thyrra." You tell him. This will at least buy you some time in saying goodbye to your family and making sure to cover your tracks. "Freeing Thyrra is going to be dangerous." Sihtric takes your free hand in his own. He brings both your hands up to his face and kisses your knuckles. "I will try it regardless, she deserves her freedom just as much as you." You murmur. Sihtric nods in agreement.

For a long moment you are silent.

Then you cup his face, looking into those mismatched, magical eyes. They are beautiful, enchanting eyes. You draw him down to you. Sihtric closes his eyes, the muscles of his face tense with hope.

Your lips brush his and you feel him quiver against you. You make a soft soothing sound, before kissing him in earnest. Sihtric moans ever so softly. He stiffens a little at first, but then kisses back. He is a little bit insecure, you can feel it. But his lips are warm and strong, albeit a little dry.

He grabs you carefully by your hips and he grows a little more confident. You can't help a little sigh. It feels so good to finally kiss him. You've wanted to for a good long while now.

Too soon, he pulls back.

"I will miss you." He whispers hoarsely. "I will miss you, too." You rub your nose against his. "I will find you, I promise." He leans forward to press your foreheads together. "The Gods be with you." You whisper, pressing one more kiss to his lips. Sihtric sighs regretfully and pulls away.
