I'm not joking, Morianus (my Sunday yumesona) just manifested out of nowhere; purely out of my obsession for Sunday, lol.
All I had in mind was "He is everything Sunday aspires but fails to be" — something like that. I mainly focused on the size difference and natural charisma (gentility); something that (imo) Sunday has to constantly force/fake for his own convenience.
But Mori is also Sunday's inhibitions made real: his insecurities leak out & Mori is there to both rub it in & comfort him for it.
Yk what's the funniest thing? Mori isn't real. As in, he came from Sunday's miasma that he deluded himself with but since his presence 'haunts' Sunday so much, he manifested in the dream version of Penacony; he walks & lives but he's never present unless Sunday's that desperate. Whatever Sunday needs, Mori's just randomly there to take care of it. And depending on how Sunday sees himself or the situation at hand or even his own mental state, Mori reacts accordingly.
To expand on the inhibitions thing; Sunday uses Mori as a way to cope. To forget, to be distracted, etc. Sunday's so desperate for control but whether he admits it or not, being a control freak is tiring af; so then Mori comes out of nowhere and easily pulls Sunday aside to relieve him of any burden/stress. Mori's basically the 2nd/opposing voice in Sunday's head made real that he accidentally molded into a seperate entity entirely as a form of — I guess — coping.
But it's to the point where Sunday sort of fell in love or is unable to part from Mori so even when he's joined the Astral Express, Mori still appears. But much less than usual cuz Sunday's stabilising.
I do wanna eventually make Mori real but that'd need involvment Ruan Mei/The Herta/Genius Society members/Memokeepers (sort of like how (big) Cyrene manifested)/Aeons/etc. Hahahaha
Here's what Mori's supposed to look like-ish (I actually made Sunday & Mori marry each other and even designed wedding outfits (I keep redesigning Sunday's outfit cuz it's not hitting right))
I even made a sort of harbinger of death. She's based in Amphoreus and I know her existence is redundant but I thought it was interesting to have her.
Yk what her inspo was? Purely the flower trail thing you get with Castorice's technique. I thought it was pretty & decided to make something out of it.
Then I analysed deeper & decided: "Casto has butterflies & flowers but is still focused on flowers regardless. Imma make my OC focus on butterflies." That's it.
AND I LLOOOOVVVEEEEEE her design. Still unfinished but from what I've drawn, I love her.
(I'm gonna call her (my OC) Melania for now cuz that's her placeholder name.) And then I decided, where Castorice 'puts them to sleep' or whatever, Melania is the one to escort them to the afterlife (like Anubis). In practice, it'd be like Casto puts them to sleep, Melania manifests & guides them to the River of Souls where she follows them getting ferried across (I also have an OC based on Charon, lol) or simply walks with them. She always smiles & you can interpret that in multiple ways
She's offering the person/people one last semblance of warmth before the cold touch of death
It's a mocking gesture ridiculing them for the inevitable
She's more of a concept than an actual person so sbe works like the Aeons but would be classified as an Emanator. By Aeon she's likely an Emanator of Finality, maybe Enigmata or Destruction. She actually only walks on thin air when in radius of living things, but if they're non-living then she walks normally. And if you touch her, you’ll slip right through her, but her aura is strong enough that death encompasses her.
What’s the radius? Depends. On the amount of death or what it calls for. She doesn’t control it, it just happens. Which is why she mostly hangs on her swing or floats.
Does she fly? Yes, cuz again, she’s not a human. She can do whatever the fuck she wants should she want to (that’s within Thanatos’ capabilities)
She actually 'haunts' Anaxa.
She appears around him cuz Anaxa is technically dead and since he’s not the purest of people so instead of Castorice escorting him, essentially, she does (this falls in line with my idea that Castorice sends good souls while this one does the same to bad souls)
They talk & stuff. She only really appears when he’s alone so sometimes if people pass by his room(?) or just him, they’ll be confused cuz they think he’s talking to himself (it’s coincidence that the passersby come by him when he’s the one talking)
Also since he has this almost obsession with death (or at least souls) and his dead sister (he has given up & accepted but he still wants to see her, obviously), I assume he’d mostly try to gauge answers out of Melania but again, she’s not mortal nor corporeal so if anyone tries to touch her, it’ll just phase through.
She wasn't supposed to be this involved with multiple Chrysos Heirs. I had multiple ideas for different OCs but when I thought about it they just fit into Melania so I let it happen cuz she fits all the themes:
Escort of the Titan’s forms for their trial. It was originally male but looks oddly like a cross between vampiric Anaxa & Castorice. (yes, they’re just memories but it fits regardless.)
A lady who sits on a swing in Okhema (Hyacine’s friend/associate), and the Grove (Anaxa’s ‘friend’ (Anaxa just tolerates her presence)
A parallel of Cerces & Mnestia for Anaxa. Based on/inspired from the Archanus Flutterby event in Shining Nikki (spider (Nephiliet) & butterfly (Evangelos) wedding(?) event). Anaxa’s vibe fits spider but colours fit butterfly. Melania fits spider’s colours but butterfly’s role)
And they're all random-ass ideas too, hahahaha. I made a WuWa OC that is seemingly high 24/7 (the drug kind); and I'm not joking, I made a whole-ass 'planet' for HSR.
The main location is supposed to be Ryvherie (from the word Reverie) & it's a mix of Ancient East Asia (mainly China & Japan) which is inspired by an event from Shining Nikki (Grand Obsession) and the lore actually is heavily based on Nikki itself & even includes Nikki herself (with a different name, obviously). But even aside from Nikki itself, I made an OC out of nowhere. He's a boat steerer(?) Like a gondolier cuz this place is like Italy where a lot of it is just canals. You either walk or ride boats. And funnily enough, I superficially drew members of a sort of union for these gondoliers. Simply cuz I thought it was interesting. Especially since they're a seperate rank of knights/soldiers/ninjas. But they still have ranks within this specific 'organisation'.
I don't even play Twisted Wonderland and I gave Malleus a half-brother who's supposed to basically be Descendants' version of Maleficent; primarily the Evil Like Me song.
One of my favourite & earliest OCs is actually a Haikyuu!! OC. Her name is Nakajima Kuromi but her whole thing is that she looks like a dude & the fact that the school doesn't correct her on her improper uniform (she basically wears the top half of Karasuno's female uniform (without the ribbon)) & grey sweatpants — which stems from her discomfort with wearing skirts because due to the size of her thighs, they ride up & basically cover nothing (she used to be an active track-and-field member & delves in a lot of sports; plus biologically, females are more inclined to easily gain muscle in those areas).
But one of the funniest things (imo) is the joke that her name Kuromi is obviously feminine & would give her away, so whenever she introduces herself, she somehow would always get interrupted. Basically: "Hello, my name is Kuro—" *Noya bursts through the gym doors* as an example. And since Kuro is still a possible name, the other person simply calls her Kuro & assumes she's a dude. Also thanks to her height & short hair.
I realised that her name is almost identical to Kuroo Tetsurō so I leaned into it & made it so that within that world, they tease them for being 'brothers from different mothers'. Added with the fact that they somehow are the exact same height. And they both simply accept it.
Weirdly, cuz I thought it was interesting and to sort of add to why she's so tall, she's actually Ushijima Wakatoshi's cousin. And the spoiler is actually the 'jima' part of their surnames, teeheehee. There's a bunch of silly moments & she's sort of a natural repellent for men cuz whichever girl Kuromi's around, people just assume that she's their boyfriend & is taller than a lot of guys.
I even made it so that when Kiyoko gets 'cornered' by Terushima Yuji, Kuromi will appear & since she's taller than Yuji, Kuromi's closeness to Kiyoko & height sorta scares him off, hahaaaa.
But I love her so much cuz she's not just silly. She's a normal person who goes through certain things just like we usually do. She gets jealous, she likes helping, she feels unappreciated, she's supportive, etc. Cuz there's this whole thing where after Yachi comes into the picture as manager as well (cuz Kuromi was manager too), Kuromi starts fading into the background & she gets insecure because she knows that people don't easily approach her for how she is & looks (also cuz a bunch of the boys are jealous of her sort of natural charm towards the girls). It affects her so much that she sort of goes into a depressive state because clearly the members of the Karasuno volleyball club seem to genuinely enjoy Yachi's presence & actively bring her into things — where they never did with Kuromi.
Luck or misfortune strikes & her dad has to move for his job so they move & she enrolls in Aoba Johsai where they're more strict about the rules & don't let her wear sweatpants (i made it this way cuz Aoba Johsai just gives me those vibes) so everyone knows she's a girl — unlike the Karasuno kids who still don't know. But after she moved, she let go of volleyball entirely and refused to get back into it because she doesn't want to relive those memories.
But, but, buuuuuutttttt. When she was going home one day, she blacks out & when she wakes up, there's Iwaizumi & Oikawa by her bed. Why? Cuz Oikawa was practising his serves (and yk they're strong as hell) but a door was open & he hit wrong so it shot out the door & hit Kuromi square in the temple. So Iwa made him wait for her to wake up & apologise. Kuromi refuses but Oikawa insists (cuz Iwa's right there) & she reluctantly accepts, making Oikawa tell her to meet her at the gym tomorrow during club hours.
She does & long story short, she essentially becomes good friends with Iwa & Oikawa (especially the latter) so she starts hanging around the gym without reliving any memories from Karasuno because it's sort of a clean slate. The more time she spends there, the more she & the club members become familiar with her, namely cuz she starts acting like a manager by giving them bottles or helping clean up or handing towels. So they ask her to be manager but at that word, she remembers what happened in Karasuno & denies. But they insist & she gives in. But she genuinely feels happy & tells them her stories in Karasuno. They sympathise with her & kinda fuels the hate train toward them & especially Oikawa to Kageyama (not for romantic reasons or such, simply to rub it in that Kageyama is an apathetic loser).
One of the peak differences is that Seijoh knows that she's a girl — even if it's imparted from the school's regulations, they took the time to listen to her & act like she exists. So yeah, in Karasuno, she just floats around but in Seijoh, she feels like she exists because for once she gets compensation for all that she gives.
Basically sort of a moral(?)/theme where "even when things are bad, things will get better" & "Maybe this isn't it now, but there's always someone out there for you."
And with Seijoh, she heals & forgives Karasuno while learning that you need to assert yourself at times. And giving is fine but it's tiring; so don't stay in a place where they just take & take & take. Life & realtionships is about give AND take, an equal and opposite reaction.
So yeah, ideas can come out of nowhere & venture through the simplest things; but when the obsession sets in & you lock in? They'll be your babies 'til the end of ur days :p
Btw sorry for the long-ass post, I got carried away cuz I love talking about OC lore, lmao
