i've read a ton of books these last few months and i thought it would be a fun idea to post a few wanted plots based on some of them! i won't lie, most of these are spicy because i'm a romance novel stan ( book boyfriends over real boyfriends am i right? ) so if you're interested in writing some of these with me, please reply with your fav emoji and I’ll reach out or you can message me directly!

• twisted games by ana huang - a bodyguard is sworn to protect a modern princess without getting emotionally involved but everything changes when she faces an unwanted arranged marriage after her brother abdicates and their undeniable attraction grows. despite their forbidden love, which could ruin both their lives, they can’t resist each other, risking everything for a passion that defies duty and loyalty.

• yours actually by nina levine - the playboy and the girl next door. when two lifelong best friends make a deal to be each others dates during wedding season, their relationship shifts when muse a becomes more protective and attentive to muse b. as they grow closer, they're torn between wanting more and fearing that romance could ruin their friendship but after one passionate night together, they must face the potential consequences and decide if they’re willing to risk everything for love.

• owen north by nina levine - after a one night stand with a handsome stranger at a high society wedding, muse a doesn't think she would ever see muse b again. who would of thought she would walk into her new job on monday morning to find out he's her boss? despite her no dating rule, he's determined for them to be more than just a fling. as they navigate work events, dinner parties, and undeniable chemistry, she struggles to maintain her distance due to her fear of opening her heart again.

• hush, hush by lucia franco - after struggling to pay for her college classes and taking care of her grandmother’s medical bills, muse a gets a job as a high end escort as per her best friend’s suggestion. that’s where she meets muse b, an older, lonely married man who has an agreement with his wife to do as he pleases as long as he keeps appearances and that no one in their rich and luxurious life knows about it. something he’s upfront about with muse a from the very beginning of their meetings. the most important rule is to never fall for a client but within a few weeks they’re equally smitten for each other. it’s not until her best friend invites her to her family’s annual gala to meet her parents for the first time does muse a find out the truth… her client is her best friend’s dad.

gimme a plot where there are two detectives/police officers (muse a and muse b) where muse a is an older man whose life is quite miserable. doesn’t really have a purpose to live for since everything he ever loved was gone. he solely works now to help the citizens around the small town that he lives in. however muse b is someone that grew up in a rich lifestyle within the city, a younger man that mainly earned his title in work due to nepotism. though he is good at his job and is sent to muse a’s town to work on a certain case. obviously when they both meet muse a and muse b clearly don’t have a liking for one another (or so they assume), but are forced to work together. they see each other as competition and suspect one another of doing the crime etc etc. but there’s a certain tension lingering… neither of them can explain as to why they’re SO obsessed with one another. is it hate? is it rivalry? or rather… something else?

ok ok ok you know what fucking hits though? a prince(ss) x their bodyguard who is also a childhood friend/has always been around and they fight and bicker like siblings EXCEPT for this deep devotion they both have to each other and they assume it's just duty based bc the bodyguard has dedicated their life to protecting them !!! and the prince(ss) sees the bodyguard as ~ theirs ~ but it's all just covering up deep-seeded love for each other and one or both of them is too stupid to see it :' )
