The amount of negativity in this fandom to this very day is frustratingly astonishing, so I couldn't not write this post right on my main blog so we all stay on the same page.

Ascended Astarion "becoming" Cazador 2.0 is a headcanon I do not support. Ascended Astarion losing his soul to Hells is a headcanon I do not support. Ascended Astarion becoming abusive towards his loving partner is a headcanon I do not support. Ascended Astarion "continuing the cycle of abuse/terror/etc" is a headcanon I do not support. Ascended Astarion creating "just a spawn" out of his partner to keep ultimate control over them is, surprisingly, a headcanon I do not support. "Ascended Astarion is a tragic sad path" is a headcanon I do not support. "Ascended Astarion loses his ability to heal and improve" is a headcanon I do not support. "Ascended Astarion is doomed to failure as he would be eliminated by just one adventuring party or his own created vampires" is a headcanon I do not support (go watch the capabilities of ascended Cazador and ask yourself again whether it's believable or not).

This blog and my art is a safe-space for fans of Astarion and his Ascension path alike. You guys aren't abuse apologisers nor any slur and insult used against you.

I will be happy whenever people reblog my art without removing the AA tag. Enjoying Astarion on Ascension path and genuinely loving him, this path, and believing this it his own happy ending without making a cheap-stage tragedy out of it should not be shamable. And I will repeat it as long as I breathe, as I have no intentions to be silent about what I love, what I enjoy, and how I do it and drop it because there is a big crowd of online narrow-minded bullies who hates fun and people having it their own way.

Ok but Astarion fucking someone and panting Elvish into their ear. Just... unloading his deepest confessions of love because he's within the safety of his partner not understanding.

Chapter 2 tidbits...

A lithe blue tiefling approaches Isadora from behind, grabs her by the waist and lowers his head to her neck - licking, caressing. He looks up and locks eyes with Astarion but does not register who - or what - he is; such is the potency of the Ascendant's blood, honed by a thousand years of manipulation and experimentation. Under a kaleidoscope of shimmering colour and light, Isadora - eyes still locked on Astarion - allows herself to fall into a rhythmic, grinding dance with the stranger. She returns his touches - nibbling, dragging her teeth across his flesh. He’s the first victim of the night, and there will be many more moths flitting to our shared flame, but first a little fun wouldn’t hurt, would it, darling? Isadora says to Astarion as she allows the stranger to worship her. His glowing red eyes aflame at her flagrant display of lustfulness, he steps forward - I knew I picked you for a reason, you bad girl ...

Polishing Chapter 2

Working on Chapter 2... I'm taking my time with this. Here's what I've got so far. *cracks knuckles* type type type type (also I will be posting song inspos) Chapter 2 Isadora meanders ahead of Astarion, gliding through the crowd of bodies, tossing glances back at him. He is watching her intently, his glowing red eyes following her every movement. She isn’t his prey any longer but they pretend anyway. His heartbeat quickens: her arms rise above her head, down again, fingers caressing warm necks and shoulders - she is leaving traces of her touch behind on every sweaty body she brushes past. They are both seen and yet not seen; a fog in the mind, a feeling of deja vu, a half-memory in someone’s future. Astarion, gaze fixed on his consort, has let himself become transfixed once again even after all this time. Lights flashing, music throbbing; heartbeats in tune to the thumping bass, minds in tune to the euphoric melody. Anything goes in this moment of ecstasy, sweat, and skin. He watches her. They stop amidst the undulating wave of partygoers – everyone and everything around slowing, vibrating – this intricate world belongs to them.  “Astarion,” the words enter his mind like smoke, dissipating as he moves forward and she disappears further in. Isadora is no spellcaster, yet he is bewitched. Losing each other in the crush, the thrill of the chase, plush veins throbbing with sweet blood - these beautiful predators frequent mortal venues of debauchery to bathe in the living pulse of collective delirium - losing themselves to the music, to the nothingness of purely existing in this pulsating, fleeting moment.

Some vanilla screenshots from Ascended Astarion Origin Run. I know a lot of people do not like playing Origin run due to the minimal presence of the voice acting but honestly I never tire of these kind of shots. It also felt great to play as him, I felt powerful and amazing. There are some interesting choices which can be selected during the Cazador encounter - for example, Astarion can will himself to not be controlled Cazador. Its a DC check to break free of his command to become a spell component. Addendum: Yes, I took Volo's eye in this playthrough. You can see the glowing red eye mod trying to come through on the one side lmao. I had levels in Rogue (Assassin), Fighter (Arcane Archer I believe) and Bard. Eventually I dropped the Bard levels and went Rogue/Fighter at the end. Romances: As Astarion, It was very easy to rack up approval points with everyone in camp. I went with Shadowheart, Halsin and also banged Mizora. Re: Ascension: Everyone was miffed at me, Karlach being the most angry, except for Minthara and Gale. Shadowheart (Selunite) and Halsin were not pleased but they didn't break up with Ascended Astarion. Consorts: I was unable to "Turn" any of my romances into Consorts. The game did not give an option for this as the Ascended Astarion origin run.
