▉▉▉♛— She wanted to know more about the miserable life he had led on that desolate planet of death? Wanted to understand him and soothe his ire and pain in order to assuage the guilt that it was her people that committed such atrocities? Well it was too little too late, the damage had been done and pretty words weren’t going to fix this, only force! One had to fight hatred with hatred, this foolish Queen couldn’t possibly know how it felt to be in a Nemesian’s position, how could she?! After all, judging by the size of this kingdom and its extravagant palace she lived a life of riches and privilege! Sitting on her throne without a care in the world as her subjects swooned and cooed over her, their pretty little bauble of a figurehead who only held such a position due to Crystal that she possessed; he doubted she ever worked a day in her life!
Not like him, he wasn’t born into the corrupted world of the Royals, he had to fight tooth and nail for his position as Prince, as leader of his clan and planet! And now she dared to chastise him when she had no idea of the troubles and turmoils that being a leader entailed? She, the all-powerful Queen Serenity? Ruler of this entire Solar System, founder of the Silver Millennium which never faced a day of war or strife in its entire existence, until the uprising of that woman Beryl and that demonic energy known as Metallia that was controlling her?
No, she could never understand…
As she held out her hand to him he scoffed at the gesture swatting it away rather roughly, finally he responded to her pleas.
❝Maybe before you get up on that high morality pedestal of yours and lecture me you should practice what you preach, after all WE weren’t the ones that started needlessly oppressing and mistreating innocents just because of their race. Then again, why should I expect anything more from you and your people, all you Lunerian beings are the same; you preach love and peace but only when it comes to YOUR kind and those that follow YOUR ideals! So spare me your misguided attempts at fake sympathy, its not needed or wanted!❞
He momentarily paused in his tirade to fixate his eyes on her, she really did bear a striking resemblance to her daughter. A picturesque vision of purity and beauty, yet no doubt just like her offspring her heart was probably as stone cold. That is, if Lunerians even had souls to begin with! Perhaps precisely because they fancied themselves as Gods they took it upon themselves to behave just like those ethereal immortals of legend, they were above such petty, human emotions after all!
❝And tell me this your highness, let’s say I did reveal the details of me and my people’s exiles, what would it accomplish? What good would it do? Not even you, supreme ruler of this galaxy can stop the flow of time; you’re not Chronos himself or his daughter Pluto. No, the only way to stop the treacherous exile of my people is to stop yours from taking over our beautiful planet, and the only way to do that is by rewriting history by wiping your Kingdom out! But do not fret, I will spare the lives of any innocent civilians of this Moon; I’m not completely heartless like you superior beings!❞
“I beg your pardon, Your Grace, but you are a hypocrite. You claim it will do nothing, but yet you continue to disrupt Time by returning to my daughter’s present to hurt her, for a slight that has not happened in her time. You speak to me of being unable to stop the flow of time ... what makes you believe you can do such without consequence?” Serenity moved toward him, displaying the gliding grace she always had, ever since her first rising from the Sea of Serenity. Her arm hooked through his, gripping his sleeve,
“I would show you the thriving Kingdom you believe I have,” and she would attempt to pull him with her. If he allowed it, Serenity would lead him through the corridors that would slowly fade in color the farther they got from her sanctum. Finally, they would appear on the balcony she’d often used to speak to her citizens.
Here Serenity gestured over the eerily silent world. With her daughter’s memories restored, the kingdom had repaired itself but... its people were long dead.
“What you see before you is all I survey, Prince of the Black Moon.. I have nothing, here, but this is my domain. I was born here, from the Sea of Serenity,” she gestured to the marble-plated crater that had once housed the Silver Crystal, “and yes, once I had a thriving people. But they’re all gone, now. I am the last true Lunarian alive,”
