โin my eyes, you will always be perfect.โ
wait guys im so screwed i cut my own hair and gave myself layers but i have no idea how to maintain them ๐ฅ
i also love astronomy and i wanted to make like tiny solar systems :) the universe fits in your palm now!
so these are all real stones btw, letโs go in order:
mercury is black agate i believe, so is venus because sadly i did not have any yellow beads ๐ฅ
earth is sodalite! it works so well
mars actually may be dyed glass
jupiter is jasper!
saturn is african turquoise jasper :)
uranus is dyed blue agate
and neptune is darker sodalite or another african turquoise jasper, i used different ones for each little universe ๐ฅน
The concept of fineshyt being into geology ๐ซช
iโm going to be one of those hot girls you see at the bar and you try and flirt with me but i just start talking about rocks ๐ญ โ๏ธ i apologize in advanceโฆ
and i know who you are thank you sweetheart <3
established relationship meichae au where yoonchae goes to a wedding back in south korea and sheโs the one who ends up catching the bouquet during the bouquet toss and she kinda freaks out about it (for multiple reasons) and doesnโt tell megan or anyone and spends the next few weeks of her life losing her mind
ORRRRR the girls are at a wedding and megan is the one who catches the bouquet and then the other five are like ๐ง
i personally like the 1st one more though. more angsty imo ๐ค
hear me out...
megan (with permission of the bride and groom ofc) catches the bouquet and immediately turns to yoonchae and proposes..
Then Yoonchae says no because she's not ready ๐
what the fuck you are so sick
I was gonna end it with Megan gives her all the time she needs but since you wanna be like that...
This causes a rift in their relationship. Yoonchaeโs stressing over commitment as well as the fact that marriage to Megan isn't even legal in Korea so if she did get married to Megan in America what does that mean for her back home? Does marrying Megan trap her in the US? Rendering her unable to go back to home?
Meanwhile Meganโs wondering why she's not enough. What flaws stop Yoonchae from thinking "this is who I want to spend the rest of my life with"? When will Yoonchae be ready? Will she ever be ready? What if they get married and Yoonchae regrets it? What if Megan herself regrets it? What if Megan and Yoonchae are in too over their heads when it comes to being girlfriends too? What if this is just not meant to last?
pan there are a few empty (give or take about 10) chairs around me right now and i will not hesitate to throw them your way
Yoonchae calls her family back home to tell them of the wedding she attended (it's maphinz because I love happy maphinz and miserable meichae) and is met with only disdain and disgust from her parents (she's never told them about Megan) and she spirals.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO THEM ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐
And this really enforces the mentality of "marrying Megan means saying goodbye to Korea forever." And now Yoonchae feels trapped ๐
because itโs like choosing safety and Korea is such a big part of everything ๐๐๐ but she loves megan too ouh so it feels like a pick one and lose the other aughhhโฆ.
Luna gets it. Safety blanket versus being truly happy with the one Yoonchae loves!

i have been given permission (from @davivin) to yap about jadeโฆ ohhh goodness the floodgates have been opened.
letโs start with the cultural significance!
jade has obviously been around since the forming of all minerals and crystals and stuff but it has been important to Asian culture for thousands of years. literally 7,000 - 9,000 years. so. why is jade so culturally important?
jade is more than just a pretty stone. in Chinese culture, it represented things like purity, moral integrity, royal authority, protection from harmful spirits, and more. in Vietnam, it represents around the same: purity, prosperity, and protection. in other Asian cultures, it can be seen as a symbol of status and wealth. if anyone wants to add anything to this let me know in the comments :) i have not done particularly extensive research on this (i need to do moreโฆ)
now! we get into the geology.
there are two forms of jade: nephrite jade and jadeite.)
jadeite is a sodium aluminum silicate, (NaAlSi2O6). it belongs to the pyroxene mineral group.
nephrite jade is a calcium magnesium iron silicate, (Ca2(Mg, Fe)5Si8O22(OH)2). it belongs to the amphibole mineral group.
the primary difference between the two is that jadeite is more rare (i think?) and nephrite jade is more common. theyโre also formed in two different ways i canโt remember off the top of my head ๐ฅฒ
jadeite is slightly harder on the mohs scale, ranging about 6.5 - 7.0. nephrite jade is about 6.0 - 6.5, slightly softer. jadeite is pretty tough (different than hardness) but nephrite jade is tougher than jadeite because of the interlocking fiber structure. jadeite has a glass-like luster, and nephrite jade has a waxy luster. for colors, jadeite ranges in vivid greens, lavender, blue, yellow, pink, and white. nephrite ranges in sage green, olive green, brown, black, and creamy white. jadeite is rarer than nephrite.
so, thatโs what i have on jade! there are other rocks i love to yap about (agates, sunstone and moonstone in particular) but i have reached my quota for the day :) hope this was an interesting read for you guys!! yeah go buy jade itโs super cool

Safety blanket versus being truly happy with the one Yoonchae loves!
especially growing up in such a strict cultureโฆ someone sedate me she probably feels obligated to choose korea over Meganโ *gunshots*
Oh my gosh! Imagine she does choose Korea over Megan and then years later she comes to hate and regret that decision but she has to live with it because Meganโs moved o- *rapid gunfire*
moved on as in married to someone elโ *machine gunfire*
And Yoonchaeโs married to a man who only sees her as a trophy wi- *sniper shot*
