No. Not really. Your sisterโs eyes were rose golden, like the sunset you always saw when both of you were at the Grand Narukami Shrine.
The Musou no Hitotachi was purple.
โAiko!โ You yelled, trying to get away from Thomaโs hug. โLet me go!โ You used your elbow to hit Thoma on his stomach, but he still held you firmly against his body, your back touching his chest in a tight embrace.
โPlease, please let me go.โ The blond guy leaned his forehead on your shoulder, holding you even tighter, ignoring your pleas. โSheโll die, please... let me save her.โย
โIf I let you go, you will die as well.โ He muttered.
โPlease...โ You donโt even know what you are begging for, but when you saw the purple lightning striking the air, your scream mixed with the thunder. Thoma held you, his arms around your waist like a shield.
Thatโs when you saw it. Aikoโs vision, a blue sphere flying away from where you were.ย
โNo!โ The hydro vision fell far from you, disappearing somewhere behind the trees.ย
โLetโs go.โ Thoma pulled you with him, making you walk even if what you wanted to do was to run to your sister.
But she wasnโt there anymore.
And she would never be.
Later, in the Komore Teahouse, Thoma was back after one hour. He let you alone for some time, then was back holding something in hands.
โHere... Heizou found it.โ Thoma handed you a white vision, the pearled bright almost sad and lifeless in his hands. A knot in your throat and the burning sensation in your eyes didnโt show your true anger and fury. โI am really sorry.โ
You held the inactive vision, caressing the adorn like it could make it shine again.ย
โItโs useless.โ You whispered. โAn empty shell without its owner.โ
Thoma looked at you, his hand finding your arm in a gentle touch. โAiko was the bravest person Iโve ever met.โ He looked at the vision. โIf you donโt want to keep it...โ
โI will keep it.โ You said, looking at the olive green eyes in front of you. โI will keep it, and I will put a stop to the Musou no Hitotachi.โย ย
You wore the lifeless vision on your belt, in the same place your sister used to wear.
โHow?โ He asks, his throat a bit sore.ย
You looked away, to the sword that your sister used to carry with her. You had a sword too, but what would it do now? You couldn't even protect the person you loved the most.
How will you use it again?
You got Aiko's sword and leaned it against your forehead. โI have a plan.โย
When you looked back at Thoma, his eyes were wide and scared. โDon't tell meโฆโ
You nodded, seeing how his breath hitched.
โAre you crazy? You can die!โ He huff, stepping ahead to hold your shoulders. โShiyuumatsu-Ban is too risky, Aiko already told you this. Besides, you donโt have a vision!โ
โI need to do something, Thomaโฆโ
โI won't lose another friend in this war.โ He frowned, squeezing your shoulders. โAiko wouldn't beโฆโ
โAiko is dead!โ You yelled, the tone of your voice making Thoma freeze in the middle of his speech. โAiko is not here anymore.โ You murmured, the tears finally falling. โAnd I won't stay here doing nothing.โย
You stepped back, walking away from him as you headed out of the Komore Teahouse.
โDon't worry, Thoma.โ A feminine voice sounded some seconds after you stormed out, approaching Thoma.
โShirasagi Himegimiโฆโ He leaned his head a bit.
Ayala smiled gently, offering some support. โShe will be okay.โ The girl said, looking at the door you just passed by. โShe is strong.โ
Thoma nodded, but he murmured to himself. โBut she is not immortal.โ
And just like that, your started to train.
Just like that, four months later, you were working for the Yashiro Comission.
