I made a bunch of symbols for fantrolls but theyre going to a waste so i’m posting them in case somebody might like to take one or two…
I made a bunch of different seadweller/merperson earfins, and then I made some bioluminescent/biolflourescent versions because I love that headcanon!

Weapons!
Its good to be able to visualize some of our closest companions. Also, I’m guessing not everyone knows what a guisarme is.
First 3 images are from the Pathfinder Core Rule Book and Advance Player’s Guide, owned by Paizo.
Last four images are from the D&D 3.5 Player’s Handbook, and owned by Wizards of the Coast.
A guisarme is one of the most frustratingly rare weapons in character art, which is a crying shame, because it’s a great weapon. I sometimes refluff it as a naginata, with some poetic license, though naginatas aren’t super easy to find either.
Polearms are generally rare. :(
Icelandic magical staves (sigils) are symbols credited with magical effect preserved in various grimoires dating from the 17th century and later. According to the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft, the effects credited to most of the staves were very relevant to the average Icelanders of the time, who were mostly substitence farmers and had to deal with harsh climatic conditions.
From Zooborns.com: Last weekend three baby Maras were born at Amsterdam's Artis Royal Zoo. The babies are very shy and stay close to mom, who often has them safely snuggled together in their underground nest. They come out to nurse and play and end up getting nuzzled by the other adults. The newborns are so well developed they can begin to graze within a day. Maras (Dolichotis patagonum) with their long, thin legs and tall ears they seem much like a hare, but they are actually a subfamily of the guinea pig.
New seadweller fantroll, designed after a conversation with my gillfrond zcfilorux about a small highblood community where they live in the far north of Alternia, under the ice to protect them from the midnight sun. The seadweller is fine with the cold when underwater, but as soon as she comes out to the surface she has to put on approximately six million layers. Her lusus is a marine mammal, not sure which one yet, and her hive is chock full of humidifiers. She has a crush on the ~mysterious and alluring~ Shiloh, who lived in the community before the seadweller arrived, and now only visits once or twice a sweep with the great fair.
“The glowing breed of shark is known as the swell shark, or Cephaloscyllium ventriosum, and is fluorescent thanks to a protein within its skin that glows bright green when activated by blue light. Humans can’t see this spectacular light display, but swell sharks can. Their eyes have yellow filters that block out natural blue light in order to see a new world of colors. “What the swell sharks are doing is using the blue light to create other colours of light to make their world richer in color,”” said Dr. David Gruber, an associate professor of biology at City University of New York. Gruber thinks that the sharks use their biofluorescence to communicate with each other.“ (IFLscience)
photos from BBC ONE, with more info about these little darlins!
Of course they glow! why else would they be called ‘swell’ sharks ;D
My new babies! They’re TWINS! /)^3^(\

The bagh naka (Marathi: वाघनख / वाघनख्या, Hindi: बाघ नख, Urdu: باگھ نکھ) is a claw-like weapon from India designed to fit over the knuckles or be concealed under and against the palm. It consists of four or five curved blades affixed to a crossbar or glove, and is designed to slash through skin and muscle. It is believed to have been inspired by the armature of big cats, and the term bagh naka itself means tiger’s claw in Hindi.
You are fucking kidding me
aww its a cute gif of a shark trying to bite but his mouth’s too smAHHHHWHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SHIT OH MY GOD STOP NO STOP STOP STOP
if anybody is interested in being even more scared: these motherfuckers have been found in most oceans around the world and have existed for over 30 million years
The deep ocean is as close to hell as it gets man, this things a fucking nightmare
i’m pretty sure this is a goblin shark and there are far more scarier fish in the ocean and in fresh water rivers and streams.
