@lupinfood
in the middle of all fucking that lupin is like oh i'll drop off info on the bad guys with pops. but i'll also leave him a fruit basket. just because he'll hate it. but he'll also still eat it. and he'll hate that even more. but he'll still get his potassium. i'm five steps ahead
I’m three minutes into p6e13 and regardless of where the plot goes, I am LIVING for these two screenshots. Cheapass ingredient representation, and then Jigen’s signature spaghetti, complete with a fried egg (genius) and TINY LITTLE HOTDOG OCTOPI!
This is great because 1) you know he ate this growing up (my grandma did something similar for me as a kid, but with a different noodle dish) and 2) he made this specifically for Lupin, even going so far as to put eyes on the little octopuses. The latter is doubly funny because Jigen was either trying to be cute and not thinking AND/OR he was doing it to be a little shit because Lupin famously hates octopus. These are not mutually exclusive.
I also appreciate that Lupin is pairing this with a 1989 vintage, and I’m pretty sure the design of the cards on the table is supposed to be a reference to the playing cards in Part 1 Episode 8 (though if so, the cards were more detailed in the ’70s, cowards).
Lupin the Third: Part II, episode 94: “Lupin vs. Superman” (1979)

a lot happens in 40 seconds here
new movie has goemon getting pissy over a sandwich
No one else at this party has noodles. Did Goemon bring his own noodle cup.
