Good morning! Up an' at 'em this morning. Lots to do if I want to clear the decks to work on the vstitch tutorial. Pouring with rain here and soooo dark. Fairy lights on and any dreary day is transformed:) Thanks to all of you that ordered last night I have been able to make a last minute addition to my Stylecraft order. I have more colours of the Special dk coming alongside a good selection of the Special Aran and the late addition was five colours in the Swift knit super chunky! Thanks to a lovely friends request I get to try some out. Very excited to get it all here. Not quite sure where it will be stored yet but I'll work on that :) Happy Tuesday to you all xx💕💕🙏

Playing around with a different style for the fireplace decorations. So far a can of silver spray, an arm wrapped in clingfilm and some dried hydrangea heads combined with a blustery wind have caused much hilarity! I have plans for some type of yarn garland if I can find time to create it over the next few days 😃Happy Thursday! 🎅🎄⛄️🎉

What have I started! Oh my goodness...the stylecraft delivery is now all put away safely....but...it looks like a bomb has hit as the table and floor are now full of buttons, beads, my yarn stash, business paperwork, cellophane wrap and postage bags amongst a million and one other things:) there will be more *mess* made as I empty the corner cupboard to create space for all packaging paraphernalia to make it a simpler operation to pack and post orders...I needed an activity that took my mind of some rather sad news and this is certainly doing the trick. Bathed in sunshine!! I haven't ventured out but it's pretty good sitting here 😃 tired today after a long day yesterday. Soooo it's pjs and resting up interspersed with sporadic bursts of energy getting a few household jobs done 😃 feeling very grateful today... My life is hindered by illness and some days are tough but through this I am learning and growing and have been so lucky to find wonderful people to help me through. Working with Bergere ecoton making some coasters for the living room. I like it a lot. Easy to work with (no splitting) and it has a slightly flecked colour giving it a tweedy look. I'm working on my 10th lap throw at the moment. The first one I made I gifted to a friend, some never made it, too full of mistakes to rectify and others have also been gifted. I am lucky enough to have some others for sale in a local gallery. As I sat down to grab five minutes to work on my latest I glanced over to the arm of the sofa today and saw the second one I ever made. I can remember making it so clearly. So many memories.....of the frustrations of the wiggly first rows 😜 then the hours and hours of simple pleasure with the relaxing repetitive action. Watching TV in the sunroom, chatting with friends, snatching minutes whilst cooking tea. Addicted in the nicest way 💕There are so many mistakes and the sides go in and out and round about 😜 I decided to leave the ends on one side and add some tassels. I love this blanket.
