OK so. first of all, why are we thinking about clothes on women as a mechanism to manage the looks at the woman's body? what is this concept? the thing they are not free from is specifically this concept. I doubt men live with this mindset, I doubt normal irreligious women live with the mindset that they are showing or hiding their beauty from someone's eyes when they wear clothes. don't you see how unnatural and made up this whole concept of "deciding who sees what part of my body" is? do you realize how limiting, anxiety inducing, victim blaming and oppressive this concept is? you don't have to manage other people's eyes, buddy. when you wear shorts you aren't "showing your legs", when you wear gloves you aren't "hiding your hands". you are allowed to exist without the additional stress of what goes into random people's field of view.
and the other issue with this is. she doesn't choose shit. god chooses it for her. god chooses who sees her beauty and who doesn't. not her. it has clear strict rules. there is no decision or choice. the only thing she decides is if she will obey god or not.
I mean fair criticism towards many Christians. but let's face it, none of these religions worship the same god, if both the name and definition, qualities and character of the god are wildly different for each, it's not the same god no matter what they say.
how very kind of a polytheist to defend an abrahamic religion knowing the entire purpose of all three of those faiths is ending polytheism, possibly in a very violent way.
however. people like this are completely blinded by the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" idea. we can see how much this person hates Christianity, and has to defend what Christians have a problem with, even if this thing is just as oppressive and harmful as those christians' mindset.
