okay hazbin abel revealed and i uuhhh actually liked him? one of the more normal things the season has. sort of. (i haaate canon hh ugh) so! let's have a little longread on LRCHAU Abel and Cain, shall we? they are very important!

as i previously mentioned in Adam and Eve post:

They had two children, Cain and Abel, who would become the first souls in Hell and Heaven respectively. It hurt Adam even more.

Just like in the myth, Cain was the older child, Abel - the younger. Abel was the beloved one, as he was much softer and calmer than his brother, and more attentive to things. Cain was kinda born emo, mostly devoted to his own matters, especially his farm and gardens.

Being almost always alone, Cain secretly urged to be heard and accepted, and so he made offerings to God, but even God never answered. Not God, not mother, not father. Envy overtook his will when the offering that Abel did was actually noticed by God, even if indirectly. He then tricked his brother into thinking it was all a game, and killed him, trying to offer his body to God. God (his representative, actually), instead, took Abel's soul, claiming him as the first ever mortal soul to enter Heaven. Cain then was banished away from his parents and cursed. This event sparked discord between Adam and Eve, who could not believe that such things could happen to their children.

When Cain died, he was taken onto the newly-founded Heaven's Court and sent to Hell without much hesitation, claiming him as the first mortal soul in Hell (others were still awaiting trial, and Cain died before his parents). Later, he was joined by Eve, while Adam chose to ascend to Heaven to be with his "better" son (note how that parallels HH's implied hostility from Adam towards Abel).

The drama between brothers was never resolved. Even in Hell, Cain went into hiding, only occasionally seeing his mother. When Eve died second time, Cain took what was left from her body and kept it to himself. That's kinda a macguffin for a side plot that I haven't developed yet :o)

Design notes:

Abel's canon design was nice, so I changed it just a little bit to fit the AU better. His main colours are white, gold and pink, they represent innocence, obliviousness and naivety.

Cain's design takes inspiration from the sin of Envy (snake-like golden belts, green accents, eye) and my Eve design. I wanted him to be an "Odd human" type of sinner, because he was one of the first ever mortals, but also he commited the greatest sin (actually he is kinda about all the deadly sins if you think about it). He is meant to be uncunny and weird to be around.

They both look relatively young because they both think they will be forever overshadowed by their parents' figures and divine beings. After millenia in Hell, Cain withered even more.

Okay, so i'm making a re-write of Hazbin Hotel just for myself (based on what we have of the story so far-) and i've been making some re-designs/my-style-version of some characters uuuuuh Figured i'd share them here- THESE ARE JUST FOR FUN AND NOT AT ALLLLL THOUGHT OUT THAT MUCH! Uhhhhh yuh :)

Hi this is a hazbin hotel ask blog that's going take place after season one, just so you all know this is my ideal hazbin hotel, it still has most of the important and big plot points but I changed a few little things and everyone is my redesigns, so if you're a hardcore cannon lover this blog might not be for you, but if you like fun headcannon shiz I think you're love it here, now here are some rules and boundaries I will set for this blog.

DO NOTS

First off, no nsfw questions, this might be a hazbin blog but those things make me super uncomfortable and I'm a minor. Second, if I show a ship you don't like please keep it to yourself, and if I say I don't like a ship don't hate on me, I know this fandom could get chaotic with shipping so I wanted to say that now, but don't worry the blog won't be shipping heavy, third, try not to send anything to heavy, like super heavy angst, I want this blog to keep some sort of silliness but light angst is okay. fourth, Don't ship any of my ocs with any characters unless I say you can.

CAN DOS

Ocs, YES, you can add your hazbin ocs and let them interact with mine or my redesigns, I might actually cry if someone does, people can write/draw my redesigns, headcannons, and ocs, I doubt that'll happen but it's good to get it out there, and last thing you could draw hellva boss characters into this too.

remember adam and eve? this is them now. feel old yet? i was dissatisfied with my design of adam, so i redid it to resemble the original a little more. my adam is tragic, he made mistakes and he IS actually divorced dad. so yeah, spikes and rock music, edgy dad humor, all that only to cope with what he did. james sunderland kinda guy. eve is pretty much the same. a cutie.

Succubus Vaggie is deeply concerned about what Angel tells her about his job. She feels that this stuff is fishy. She senses pain.

I've been thinking about redesigning Angel Dust, but did not come up with anything interesting enough. So I just changed his eyes and clothes a little. And added a spider butt ofc, everyone loves these.

Angel and Vaggie aren't as rival to each other in the AU as they are in canon. Vaggie was actually the one to first meet Angel, and bring him into the Hotel. Using her succubus senses, she tried to approach Angel, who was very clearly suffering, and convince him to try living in the Hotel.

Angel uses Hotel as a blind spot to Valentino. He spends more and more time there, and lies less and less about his previous life, but is still forced to do his work from time to time. It goes like this until Cherri Bomb appears and asks Charlie to help him escape.

I had a MASSIVE artblock and couldn’t finish that Welcome Home drawing because it drained me out! (What a pity😔) so I’m redesigning the cast of Hazbin Hotel in my own personal way!

The ones above are traced since they’re overall concepts before I draw them officially and finalizing any details! And of course the bottom being a redraw of a scene!

Hey, long time no see! Today I bring you the controversy king - Alastor the Radio(?) Demon!

As I already mentioned before, my reading of Overlords is different. They are, mostly, OLD. Alastor is no exception, in fact, he was one of the first successful overlords in Hell, who was once close to Lucifer, Lilith and Eve.

So what's his deal? Alastor's real name is long lost in memory lane. He died around 500 B.C. somewhere in Ancient Greece. He was a shady figure that used miscommunication to indirectly kill people, or watch them suffer. He got away from justice and died while wandering the woods, when a hunter mistook him for a deer and shot in the heart.

Alastor kept using his skills of communication and miscommunication in Hell. He created the first alarming and surveillance systems using his acquired souls as transceivers.

Now speaking of design. Stable parts of his design are deer features and blood stains on hands. In general, I decided that Alastor, when summoned by a mortal, would choose to keep some of his summoners' appearance. He would change it alongside a small part of his personality every once in a century. You know, that's how immortals have fun. His last persona is a radio host serial murderer that summoned Alastor to get rid of evidence in exchange for all the souls of those he killed (except those who went into Heaven) and his own.

Alastor is fascinated by radio and believes that it is the superior communication tool. After he found out it exists, he adopted the nickname "Radio Demon", omitting his previous alias "Miscommunication Demon". He uses his monocle as both a receiver and a mic. So yeah, no one-eyed staffs, everything's pocket-sized.

Ten years prior to the main events, Alastor gets injured during the extermination, and Vox, one of the younger overlords, uses his weakness to take the majority of Alastor's souls and his title as one of the most powerful overlords. Alastor went into hiding for sometime, only to reappear and meet Charlie, Lucifer's previously-hidden daughter...

i LOVE vaggie being a succubi. i never considered making her hellborn. very good idea. also makes her name less weird tbh

Thanks! Moreover, being a succubus makes her design very flexible. I believe she has an Asmodean Crystal and at least two disguises, one of which is oddly familiar.

Also makes up for interesting interactions with Angel Dust (the sex demon who is not much into sex and an abused sex worker) and Alastor (the overlord who lost his former glory and a potential ticket to both Lust ring and Living World).
