making an intro post to pin because it's late and i can't sleep ✌️🫡🫡
i go by a bunch of names on the internet, emi/emmie, window, or cat are all fine! similarly esp on the internet i don't care what pronouns you use for me. i'm a linguistics student halfway through my degree, and i dabble in writing and art when i can.
this blog is a mess but i don't have many thoughts to put out there so it can stay that way for all i care! i mostly reblog art to queue, my queue tag is i'm always thinking about queue.
this isn't a blog for a specific fandom except when i get really into something and queue a million posts for it at once.
things you can expect to see here a lot: ace attorney/the great ace attorney, avatar the last airbender, revolutionary girl utena, puella magi madoka magica, dungeon meshi, land of the lustrous, danganronpa
things you can expect to see here once in a while: cinderella boy, the nameless prisoner, professor layton, infinity train, warrior cats, my hero academia, cursed princess club, gourmet hound, undertale/deltarune, slay the princess, camp here and there, the magnus archives, the amazing digital circus, omori, critical role?????, a bunch of other things literally so many i will reblog anything.
things you can expect to see when they eventually come around in my queue: project hail mary, iron lung, literally any crossover between the two (crossovers will be tagged iron mary on my blog), probably eloquent countenance or something idk
i'm willing to talk about any of these things- i'm not a great conversationalist, but feel free to shoot me a message! similarly, the amount i post about something isn't always a reflection of how much i like it- it's probably just a tiny fandom lol.
other tags i use:
- other art is my very disorganized tag of art i've reblogged (other meaning not by me.) similarly, other pictures is for photography but it's not as used
- emi yap is my underutilized saying whatever tag
- emi art and emi writing are for. you guessed it. emi art and emi writing
- hypothetically emi ocs has all my oc posts but i don't fully trust that it does
- non-fandom art is for art that (to my knowledge) is not associated with a particular fandom. if i'm ever incorrect with that, shoot me a message and correct me!
- fandoms i don't go to is mostly for my own purposes, and basically means fandoms i haven't interacted with the source material for. unless we are friends and you are doing it in private messages don't evangelize media to me i'll get around to it.
- i don't expect anything on this blog to get super popular so i don't regularly tag any type of trigger warnings or content warnings. but if you follow me and want me to start for something specific, dm me and let me know! i'm super willing to :)
also i like sufjan stevens talk to me about sufjan stevens
During my childhood, there is a famous local comic book series about a girl with magical powers who goes on adventures with her friends. In one of the books, they meet a rat capable of speech, claiming to have his soul cursed into this animal, and that he was really a prince whose human body was locked up elsewhere by evildoers. They find his empty vessel in a glided coffin, head down and unresponsive. When he returns to his body, his face is still never shown, and his personality was completely different from how he was when he was a tiny rat. He went from a verbal and good-humoured voice to a mysterious and quiet individual who saved them and then disappeared. In this vein, I often think that Sayaka and ‘Sayaka’s corpse’ is a similar concept.
