i honestly can't stand that every creator has social media now where they talk about their work. it takes away so much of the fun of putting the pieces together or making headcanons. now its like if you say something that goes against the bsky post the author or character actor or whoever made on exactly June 11th at 1:32pm than you're wrong and also an idiot. i also think that's a huge part of why creators are so lazy these days because why would you put in the effort to portray things the way you want or leave little easter eggs for the audience if you can just clarify things later! its absolutely nuking so much of what makes fandom culture, especially roleplaying, so much fun.
