let's all care. Forever
“how did you get into writing” girl nobody gets into writing. writing shows up one day at your door and gets into you
"how did you get into writing" girl i've been tormented by the visions since i was eight years old
I’m sorry (but not that sorry) to share that the mods of the @2wolf2star server have kicked me from the server for events outside discord despite a previously (but privately) implemented moderation policy that contradicts this behavior.
This happened because one of their mods privately reached out to me and asked for my friendship and for my feedback, and so I reached out again in good faith to provide. When they didn’t like what I had to say, they refused to let the topic drop even when I had asked to step back for a day. Instead, that mod took it to tumblr.
I have stayed respectful throughout this experience despite a long history of this group acting on their personal dislike for me through their moderation. Considering the personal attacks and anon hate I have received from former and current moderators of that space, that’s certainly not true for those who disagree with me.
It’s too bad that respectful calls for accountability — even basic recognition that moderators hold authority over the spaces they moderate — resulted in my removal from the server. Again, I shared that feedback because I was personally contacted by a moderator for the explicit purpose of providing it, which was done because I had reached out previously about some issues with experiences I’d had.
I will not be replying to this post or feeding any anon hate I receive by posting it; I’ve spent enough of my time engaging in good faith with a group of people who have never shown interest in doing the same.
I continue to love wolfstar, and I will continue to seek, build, and uplift communities that treat its members with kindness, care, and respect— just as I, too, seek to do in all things.
No, there’s actually nothing more important than kindness. Not in fandom.
Maybe in my clinic—where I have a responsibility to make the best possible medical decisions together with my patients.
Maybe in motherhood—where safety and raising a capable future adult are highest priority.
But not in fandom. Not in a community that only exists for its own sake. Fan spaces are not government or commercial entities. They aren’t a public service. People who volunteer their limited free time to organize events and communities are not beholden to strangers online who might sometimes have chosen to organize things differently. And actually, anyone is free to organize anything they’d like to at any time! That’s part of the fun of it.
We are all just people, here in good faith, trying to do our best in the midst of busy lives.
Saying “no offense” before you make an offensive statement doesn’t make the statement inoffensive.
Saying “out of kindness” before discussing unkind actions doesn’t make them kind.
And kindness is the entire point.
I don’t know why you felt the need to post about our DMs so directly rather than respect my desire to step away from a long and draining conversation, but I don’t appreciate the conflation of reasonable asks for accountability with a lack of kindness.
It's that time again where I shout at you about all the amazing fics I've read this month. This month I've read 523,375 words across 47 fics by an unknown number of authors - many are from @moonyfest so still anon :)
To the authors on the list: thank you again for sharing your lovely work with us!! ♥️ If you read any of these fics, please make sure to leave kudos and a comment. It means a lot to authors! ♥️
If you spot any mistakes, or if I commented on a fic of yours this month and forgot to include it here, please let me know. I didn't leave it out intentionally, I'm just unorganised and this was a lot of work to pull together ♥️!
All fics are Wolfstar🌟 with a few multi-ships noted as such. Ordered alphabetically by author's name and in categories: 1. WIPs (that I've read/have updated this month); 2. One-Shots; 3. Chaptered Fics (complete); 4. Fics from @moonyfest (all still anon - I'll update with authors after reveals :)!); 5. Series; 6. What I've worked on this month.
finally got myself together to do one of these round-ups again! it’s been my productive-procrastination task for the month, and between various bingos, i actually kept good track of my reading, so here we are. many of these are part of moony’s midlife crisis fest (of which i am still reading from!)—the whole collection is a treat! i will update this post with those authors’ usernames once reveals happen in a few days’ time. everything here is just listed in chronological order of when i read them, within their categories. for WIPs, either anything i began reading, or that updated during this month :^) thank you to everyone i read from this month! it’s been a very good one <3

Me when I write for 4 hours: -300 words
Once Oscar Wilde, coming down to lunch, was asked how he had spent his morning. "I was hard at work," he said. "Oh?" he was asked. "Did you accomplish much?" "Yes indeed," said Wilde. "I inserted a comma." At dinner, he was asked how he had spent his afternoon. "More work," he said. "Inserted another comma?" was the rather sardonic question. "No, said Wilde, unperturbed. "I removed the one I had inserted in the morning."
It's that time again where I shout at you about all the amazing fics I've read this month. This month, I read 41 fics by 34 authors, amounting to 411k words :)

It’s finally happened.
After almost a decade on this site, I found another Tumblr user in the wild. I stopped to tie my shoe with rainbow laces this morning outside the silversmith at Colonial Williamsburg, and I heard it.
“I like your shoelaces.”
Oh. Oh no.
I responded the only way I could. “Thanks.” And then I reluctantly added, “I stole them from the president…and if that makes sense to you, I’m very sorry.”
The poor man, in full Colonial dress, stared at me for a long moment. And then burst into laughter. And said, “I haven’t thought about that in YEARS and this has never happened to me before.”
Yeah. Me neither. Not until today.
Tumblr rite of passage. Achievement unlocked.
@victoriansecret I found your friend!!!
Joking aside, I have nothing to hide in this space. I recently shared private feedback about my own personal frustrations with the Wolfstar discord moderation, and I did so with my name attached (although frankly that shouldn't be necessary, because not everyone feels comfortable doing so). I did this in good faith, after repeated entreaties for feedback, with the hope that this space can improve for everyone.
In response, I have been treated poorly and immaturely on almost every front it's possible to do so on — but crucially not in any way most others would be able to see.
The only people my silence benefits are the moderators who think it's acceptable to say one thing and do another. This includes acting as if my concerns are being taken seriously before doing something as petty as liking and unliking a post critiquing their behavior, an act so minor that most people would feel gaslit, ashamed, and "insane" for posting about it.
If you have issues, bring them to me.
It’s even shadier to like and then unlike someone’s vague post about you 🤣 some people will do anything but reflect
My custom Murauder legos! Regulus has freckles and the locket . Short king legs . Jamie has wild hair and Indian heritage. Sirius is up to no good . Moony gets his Welsh sweaters and dogo ears. <3
It's disheartening to know that some people in this space would rather spend their time publicly misrepresenting openly given feedback than reflecting on how their own behavior affects others
what's less disheartening is knowing that fandom always bounces back: passion begets passion, kindness begets kindness, and community will always find each other <3
star trek tos au where all the uniform boots look like this
this is for everyone who was upset that i didn't match the boots to their uniform colors
wolfstar ditching friday night plans just to stay home. they buy giant pizzas and marathon bad movies with stupid themes like the main character dying in the first five minutes, horror movies with inanimate objects, and movies where everyone has to wear trench coats and say the word "precisely". they chat through the whole thing, drink wine straight from the bottle, make out on the old sofa cushions, have sex under the blue light from the tv, and fall asleep all tangled up together. it's perfect.
