“ and even from the front you still can’t get my name. ” he teased, as he turned to face her. “ although, admittedly, pastry boy might be a much more fitting name than the one I’ve got anyway. so, maybe you’re onto something. ” he added, a playful grin settled on his lips, before quickly averting his attention back onto the chaos behind them, his expression settling back into something neutral. “ well, I asked a few people and, as far as I can tell, I think someone either called in a false alert or pulled an alarm? they’ve been evacuating the whole building it looks like, though, so it must’ve been someone calling in something pretty serious. ” he tried to explain as much as he knew, shrugging his shoulders in a small gesture afterward. even he wasn’t entirely sure of the situation. “ y’know, not knowing the name of the place you’re playing at has to make promoting the show a lot more complicated. ” he pointed out, a soft laugh tumbling past his lips as he imagined the vague social media promotional posts. “ I know where you’re talking about, though. and I happen to know a few shortcuts to get around this place as well. ” thankfully, all of the various nights he’d spent wandering around the town seemed like they’d maybe finally pay off. “ are you playing there now, though? because, if you don’t mind, I could just show you the way instead of taking you through the directions? you said you get lost easily and I’d sort of like to see your show, anyway. ” he offered, “ besides, there could, maybe, be some sort of crime in progress and sending you down the backstreets alone may not be the kindest thing I could do. ” he added, perhaps looking for an excuse to need to tag along.
“What?! I thought Pastry Boy was your real name”, her mouth wide open in fake surprise as she playfully covered it with her right hand. “If that’s not your real name then how would you explain the fact that you are always able to offer me the best pastries around?”, she softly taped her chin repeatedly with her index finger as she looked up to make it look as if she was thinking hard about it. When she turned her attention back to him as he explained the reason behind the chaos, her eyes widened a bit. “Well, if that was just a simple prank, that person must be a real asshole” she rolled her eyes a bit. “Or maybe someone thought something was up and they panicked, causing all of this to happen... such a real mystery”, she shrugged. “Thankfully I’m not the one promoting the shows online, that’d be real messy. One could not simply handle me such responsibility”, she laughed. “Yeah, show starts in about 40 or 50 minutes so I’d say we still got time. It’d be of great help if you could lead the way”, she tapped his shoulder. “Whoa there, Pastry Boy, do you know how to kick some ass? Who would have thought...” she teased as she heard him offer to accompany her in case the way wasn’t secure enough. “Imagine the amazing YouTube title that’d make: Pastry Boy vs filthy downtown criminal”, she joked.
