Georges Merle (1851-1886) "Une sorcière au xve siècle" ("A Fifteenth-century Sorceress") (1883) Oil on canvas Located in the Birmingham Museum of Art, Birmingham, Alabama, United States The commanding figure depicted in the middle of performing a spell is likely a subject from literature, although the source has yet to be identified. The mysterious symbolism, including a voodoo doll, pentacle, Egyptian imagery, and more, can be clarified when the origin of the story is known. Until then, the secrets of "The Sorceress" remain fascinating and perplexing.

one of the DMs I play with has, like, 70 slips of paper that say, "Loading," with bits of random D&D mechanics advice ("partial cover grants +2 to AC") that he slots onto his DM screen when he needs to look something up, assemble something, or think up a mechanic for player bullshit.
Idea: Critical Role does a Let’s Play of “Stray,” where Liam plays it, but as Caleb Widogast

question
what's the fuckin deal with hardcore d&d players and dice
i got my first physical set and a bag, and some of the care tips that come up on Google are shit like "leave them each on their highest number in a row and watch them for a while" or "leave them in salt water overnight"
like i get that you're gonna end up getting this kinda thing with a game with random chance but holy hell
