lexi     is     a     protector     in     every     way     ,     always     concerned     about     those     she     loves      MORE     than     herself     .                  the     most      obvious      connections     were     cassie     and     rue     (     and     i    know     she     would     give     the      world     to      the      other     girls     as      well     ,     it     just     wasn’t     shown     .     )                        however     ,     this     isn’t      necessarily     a     good     thing     when     it     comes     to     lexi     and     her     needs     .                     she     doesn’t     exactly     mean     to     forget     herself     ,     it     just     happens     ,     and    as     we     can     see    from     many     eps     she     is     quite     excluded     and     made     to     feel     kinda     like     an     outcast     ex.     the     halloween     party      ,     so    it’s     no     surprise    she     kinda     puts     herself     last     as     well     .

it’s     often     easy     for     lexi’s     mother     to     toss     her     off     as    a     good     girl     with     no    need     for     extra     attention    .                 lexi     notices     but     tbh     she     loves     cass     sm     that     she     can’t     really     be     mad     about     it     .

HOWEVER     WE     DO     SEE    HER     INSECURITIES     IN      ONE     VERY    SHORT     SCENE     .

cassie     is    obv     in     a     crisis     but     lexi     doesn’t     know     yet     ,     she     just     thinks     cass    is     searching    for     a     few     compliments     and     is     sad     over     a     boy     .            but     finally     at     the    end    ,    lex    blows    up     .              

“well     ,     you     look     beautiful     cassie     ,      you     look     fucking     amazing     .                         it’s     literally     all     anyone’s     ever     told      you     your     entire     life     ,     like     listen     to     yourself     it’s     fucking     exhausting     !”

and     then     when     she’s     called     beautiful     herself      before     the     dance     she     replies     with     a     quiet     “i     don’t     know     ..     “       .               this     tells     me     it’s     something     she     doesn’t     hear     often     .     she’ll     tell     you     she    doesn’t     care      ,     even     though     she     does    ..    even    if    she     doesn’t     wanna     admit     it     to     herself     .
