popping  in  to  say  i  am  still  here!!!  i  accidentally  took  an  unintentional  hiatus  but  i’m  making  my  way  back  now!  planning  to  go  through  my  follow  lists  and  put  up  nadia’s  full  bio  and  a  bit  more  information  about  her  and  about  wolves  and  stuff.  i’ve  also  got  a  sort  of  surprise  coming?  so  keep  an  eye  out!

THIS  JUST  IN.  As  of  about  a  week  ago  I  am  working  on  writing  up  a  thesis/research  proposal  in  order  to  apply  to  do  a  PhD  on  werewolves,  or,  more  specifically,  transformative  bodies,  magic  and  monsters  in  Late  Medieval  and  Early  Modern  Europe,  with  a  large  focus  on  lycanthropy,  its  superstitions,  relationship  to  witchcraft,  psychology  and  medicine,  etc.

If  I  get  accepted at  a  place  ( and  secure  funding -  the  really  scary  bit )  in  as  little  as  three  years  I  could  literally  have  a  doctorate  in  werewolves.

This  is  the  best  thing  that  I  might  ever  do  and  I  hope  Remus  Lupin  is  proud  of  me.

just  stopping  by  before class  to  declare  that  the  haunting of  hill  house  on  netflix  has  fucked  me  up,  down,  sideways,  backwards,  and  everyone  should  immediately  go  watch  it.  i  rarely  ever  find  myself  interested  in  anything  horror-related  but  everything  about  this  show  was  perfection.   beautifully  written,  directed,  shot,  acted,  and  the  attention  to  detail  is  mind-blowing.   i  watched  and  rewatched  it  in  its  entirety  in  two  days  and  will  probably  do  so  again  in  the  days  leading up  to  halloween.

Two  and  a  half  weeks.   Two  and  a  half   weeks  I’ve  been  in  this  new  apartment  without  internet,  but  it  finally  got  installed  today.   I’m not dead!   Although  I  do  have  an  infection  and  I  spent  four  hours  in  A&E  yesterday,  but  luckily  it  is  not  bacterial  pneumonia  like  I  thought  it  might  be.   I’ve  still  missed  my  second  week  of  MA  classes  though,  which  sucks.   Anyways!   I’ll  be  making  a  comeback  now,  after  I  sort  out  a  few  things  and  maybe  post  some  headcanons.  Maybe  a  starter  call.  Keep  an  eye  out!
