It's still smokey out here, but the view from the science building rules. My Chem lab is also pretty fun. (Taken with Instagram)

“About the Moon” is a b-side track from Rilo Kiley’s Science Vs. Romance single. I believe it was only released on vinyl in 2001 though Barsuk Records. Rilo Kiley started out in Los Angeles, California in 1998. The band consists of Pierre de Reeder, Jason Boesel, and two former childhood actors Jenny Lewis, and Blake Sennett.
“About the Moon” is one of my favorite songs from Rilo Kiley due to it’s classic doo-wop sound. Since the song is a b-side track, it is rare to find this song anywhere other than the original release. After checking Ebay for the Science Vs Romance 7”, I found one vinyl copy for one hundred dollars. Unless you know someone who has a collection of Rilo Kiley b-sides on their computer, “About the Moon’ is going to be very difficult to find.
I discovered Rilo Kiley when I was fifteen years old after dating an immature turd. I absolutely love all of their releases up to More Adventurous, but “About the Moon” is my long-time favorite. One might say I am a record nerd due to how badly i want the original release, especially since I can and do listen to the song regularly. A friend of mine over at a message board was nice enough to share this MP3 with me. Since it is no longer in print, sharing this is seen as acceptable.

2nd night in a row I've seen this large spider run across the floor. He lives outside now. It's either a Hobo or it's relative Tegenaria domestica. He's huge! #bugs #spiders #arthropod #arachnid (Taken with Instagram)

Parents found this chunk of sandstone with what looks like some sort of beryl poking out of it. Some of the crystals are orange and red. I wouldn't mind a real identification of this. #geology #gems #stones #rocks (Taken with Instagram)
