‘Something that I always find funny and bothersome at the same time is the fact that Boruto’s name isn’t even Boruto.

Like, they even put it in the title.

His original name was “Bolt”. It basically still is.

His name is a reference to Neji’s name, just like Himawari, that had something to do with the word “screw” (and that fact is still obvious because they kept the screw icon on the title) and probably also references Minato’s nickname of “the yellow flash”.

The only reason he is called Boruto is a consequence of Japanese pronunciation. Just like the word “cake” was changed to fit their syllabic pronunciation, which changed it into “caiki” (kinda). In this case, the word “Bolt” is pronounced “Boruto”.

The best and worse part is that not everybody knows this or the intent of the sound, and simply think Boruto is a terrible name because it’s “not creative and basically a copy of Naruto because they sound almost the same”

And I kinda just… stand there, knowing his name wasn’t even the same as Naruto’s and also had a meaning and a reason for being it and it was a nice and deep meaning and a lot of fans ignore this.

At the start of 2019 I decided to host my very first raffle and it was fun to see some new people around~ it was a pleasing experience so I’ve decided to host another raffle as a celebration for reaching 300 followers <3 thank you all~

How will I go about this:

The art I offer for this raffle will be based on fanfics. Meaning that the winner gets to pick a story of their own to which I will draw fanart of. If said winner does not write, they are free to pick their favorite story that is written by a different person. Even if you do write, you can still pick a different person’s story

I know some fanfic writers out there really appreciate art being based on their stories, so I’ve decided to do this little thing!
