late night reminder to self: your depressive episode will not last forever. it will have an end. tonight will not be the end of you.
Hey guess what i saw this a few days ago when i was in an absolutely scary slump and then i spoke to my counsellors and did what they told me to do and now i feel so much better. So this is true. Reblogging for more good luck
another bakery employee here to tell you, if you're sad or scared at 3am just remember that's when the croissants are done proofing and are getting egg washed to be baked just for you. the baguettes are being shaped after proofing for hours and heading into a burning hot oven to be ready for you to order for breakfast
Moving to th Big City has made me realise how many people are out and about getting things ready for the day at 3am. That's around when the rubbish truck comes down my street, taking all the rubbish away to keep us all healthy and clean. There are people out jogging and walking their dogs before their 5am starts at work. In summer there are sometimes gardeners working in the dark to water plants at the park so they have time to absorb the water before the sun comes up and vaporises them, so we have clean air and beautiful trees to look at. At 3am there are so many people working to make the world a better place, and I sometimes take it for granted because they're so good at it I don't even notice.
