Alison can’t believe she has to keep working through the end of the world. Reasonable people are wondering when food will run out, but she spends her days discussing profit margins.

A flyer advertising a clinical trial offers an exciting way to make some extra cash, all under the care of Jordan, a brainy scientist built like a superhero. The handsome researcher is a combination of endearing awkwardness and confident competence that has Alison dying to find a way under his skin.

As the procedure changes Alison’s body and desires, scientist and test subject must work together to keep the experiment on track.

The hunger of the world hangs in the balance, or at least, the hunger for almond milk.
