“So explain it to me again? Why can’t you just… use your fancy mind tricks and have them initiate you to be my knight?”
“That’s not how it works… and even if I wanted to? Obi Wan doesn’t think I’m ready which is insulting as it is! I can protect you better than any of those snobs out in the training courses.”
The two sat out on the balcony looking over Crelicec’s lower town, the winters were just as cruel as ever— trees overcast with frost covered tips, animals burying for hibernation and the townspeople trying to make due with the recourses for such cold nights. Technically, neither of them were supposed to be here, yet they always had a tendency to find eachother during dull ball conversations and leave without notice.
“You’ll be fine Ani.” She attempted to reassure her friend. “You’re good at what you do! he’ll come around.”
“Apparently not good enough to protect you “properly”.”
Once she shoved him gently by the shoulder to get him to shut up, Anakin couldn’t help but smile. He didn’t particularly like upsetting her, but he would also be lying if he said it wasn’t some form of entertainment for him to see her expression every time.
Daaliyah flimsily tossed the slice of shared fruit, stolen from the table of entrees inside the banquet hall towards him. She watched as the Ute slice floated in the air with the wave of his hand, setting it on the plate with a gentle thud.
“ I will do anything you ask… or do whatever I can to keep you safe.”
Princess Daaliyah Monkaxte, the middle child of three children, ruling beside her sisters, Dianaria and Hyacinth with her adoptive parents as rulers of Crelicec. Daaliyah, like both of her sisters were assigned a personal knight, trained by the best of Grand Masters. Raised from politeness and grace, the Monkaxte family is own for their elegance and beauty.
While Dianara is blunt and not afraid to speak her mind, Hyacinth is a walking ray of sunshine— Other nobles struggled to figure out Daaliyah. The suitors tried to ask her questions about herself yet she could only reply with lies. No, she did not enjoy the bitter taste of wine, no she was not excited for the idea of getting married and no, she did not enjoy balls or being in public.
When Daaliyah was 10 years old, she met Grand Master, Qui Gon Jin and his two trainee apprentices, Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Immediately the two had an instant bond that the higher Grand Masters and the royal court would call “unnatural” as they grew into young teens and eventually young adults.
