Lynx was sick. Not that he'd admit it outright, but they had a fever and were holed up in a room they found on the ship, curled in blankets in a sort of best, looking like a burrito. The blankets were probably making the fever worse but if you took them away he got unbearably cold, so the blankets stayed on. Even though it was sweating unbearably. Every so often he'd try to crawl over to get water or food and giant before they could make it to the door. So staying in place it was. Lynx felt terrible at the time, dizzy and nauseous, so it wasn't a new feeling, but the sickness made it worse, he closed its eyes, hoping if it slept, everything would be better

Sploink was looking for Lynx around the shifting maze of the ship, until finally sei opened another door and found Lynx in the blankets in the corner. Sploink immediately ran into the room and towards Lynx.
"Are you alright? Why did you just ran away?! Get here-"
Sploink placed his hand on Lynx's forehead and with a disappointed look put it away after a moment.
"You have a fever and you've been just sitting here? Why didn't you say anything to me? How do you feel? DO you have any other symptoms?"
"I'm fineeee"
Lynx croaked, staring bleerily at Sploink
"just a bit sleepy. He good after a sleeb"
Lynx could feel the warmth surrounding him- or blankets? Either way it was so hot and it couldn't stop sweating. Water would have been good. So thirsty
"That's it, we're going to the kitchen."
Sploink scooped up Lynx with some blankets in seirs arms and went out of the room down the halls.
"I'll make you some warm tea with honey and lemon. Do you have nausea? The sourness of lemon might help with it. Is there anything I should know about your current state?"
Lynx huddled against Sploink, looking up at seir and frowning. This was exactly what he'd wanted as a child, for someone to care for it when sick. So why now that it happened did it frustrate him so much? Was it Sploink? Did Lynx not like seir?
"I don't want anything bring me back"
Lynx demanded, trying to scramble out of his arms and huffing, tired after a few seconds
"Well, fortunately, I didn't ask what you want."
Sploink opened a door to the kitchen with seirs leg and carefully put the bundle of blankets with Lynx on the sofa. He then went to the counter and turned on the kettle to warm up, while searching for a chamomile tea and lemon.
"I said at our first interaction that you will be here at least until we land somewhere, so like it or not, you're my patient right now. If you won't tell me what's wrong you'll continue to feel like shit and I don't think you're a masochist, at least not in that way."
Lynx grumbled, retreating into their nest of blankets, and blushing slightly at the implication, which made him heat up more
"I don't care. I don't want you to take care of me"
"If you don't care then you hand over the blankets and go back straight into the open space. Deal?"
Despite his words, Sploink made tea and added a piece of lemon into it, coming towards Lynx and offering him the drink.
Lynx squirmed out of the blankets and attempted to get up, but after a few steps their legs gave out and they flailed, crashing onto the floor and groaning pathetically
"second times the charm"
He mumbled to itself
Sploik put the mug down on the table ad crossed seirs arms, looking down at Lynx.
"Call me when you decide you need my help. I'm not helping you unless you call."
Sploink turned around and went to sit down on the chair. He took the cup he offered to Lynx and started drinking the tea with a delightful expression.
Lynx huffed, taking it as a challenge, and clearly annoyed he tried to get up again but ended up in the same spot, pathetically sprawled on the floor
"don't laugh"
It hissed at Sploink
Sploink chuckled, sipping more of seirs tea.
"You look like a newly born lamb."
Lynx hissed, catching it's breath on the floor, panting. He just lay there for a few seconds, blinking drowsily
"mmph"
