What the fuck is an archive. No like seriously, I'm 17, is anyone gonna help me with that one?

Another captian fact:

The Captain has always had an odd fascination with toys and dolls. It would make some sometimes, out of wood or metal. The captwin eould often talk to them. These dolls used to be carefully placed on shelves and such. Now most of them are lost. Sometimes someone will come across one. The Captain still seems fond of them when presented. The Captain once made a doll for all its cremates. Those dolls remain carefully placed and unmoved, under glass on a shelf. The only one with any sort of damage is the one of the Captain itself: with its face scratched out and half its body ripped off and missing.

Some of the beings that have shown up on the ship seem strangely similar to these dolls...

It apparently especially liked toy soldiers for some reason...

Does..the captain need therapy?

OH CAN I GIVE THE CAPTAIN THERAPY? I CAN DO THERAPY I READ A BOOK ABOUT THIS BEFORE.

*Rawr pauses for a minute, looking up from his phone and yelling at the ceiling*

Captain fact: the captain used to have a set of big sharp metal teeth in front of his more usual bone teeth. Giving him two sets of teeth one behind the other. He also had quite the fascination with teeth and would sometimes find and shove teeth into his mouth.

*He pauses for a minute, looking at the book rawrs just pulled from rawrs archive. He just puts it back in the shark section*

You know what messes me up?

This dinosaur skeleton is incomplete. But, it doesn't look that way to us, because the parts it's missing are parts we don't have.

See how there are ribs on the bottom? Those are called gastralia. That's right, dinosaurs had ribs on their stomachs as well, and modern crocodiles and alligators still have them! (Also, notice that the ribs keep going to the hips instead of stopping above the waist. This is also true of modern birds, and why a bird can't have a concave stomach!)

Next, notice that ring floating in the center of the eye socket? That's called a sclerotic ring! Fish, reptiles, birds--with the exception of mammals (and, oddly enough, crocodilians), pretty much all modern vertebrates still have them! It's literally an eyeball bone. Afaik we haven't found a T-rex specimen with any intact, but since we've found them in other dinosaurs, it's very likely they had them too.

So, keep that in mind next time you see a dinosaur skeleton.
