- Actually if you read it properly; he knew the swords name the entire time and suppressed those feelings so that he could enjoy fighting more since there was never anyone except Unohana at his level. So basically IF he had Bankai before suppressing his powers, he has it again now. Also his sword cannot be in Shikai currently due to the fact that in all his backstory he has carried the sword in the same form. Therefore he must of suppressed his shikai too. Maybe you should read up and do your research.
i actually know that he has suppressed his sword - and like zangetsu said, while fighting in zarakis fight with ichigo, they damage each other, they are in high states of diagreement
he has the same sword-look like he was a child
and as far as we have seen - every zanpaktou changes size/form from a normal katana to a different looking sword, so it would make no sense for zaraki to have a sword that is not even in shikai and looks different from a katana
despite that - ichigos sword was always in shikai due to his high spiritual pressure, and like zaraki said himself - he cannot suppress his reiatsu even more, so his sword is always in his released state (chapter: 109)
yeah i agree, due to the fact that he never interacted with his zanpaktou - he "could" have a bankai by now, but atm he only has a shikai
