I woke up, and now I have an idea (well two) to put TWST characters through the Horrors™.

DANGANRONPA:

I feel like I haven't seen much of it, but I played the first two mainline games and I thought it was fun. Spoilers for TWST and all three mainline Danganronpa games.

So, Danganronpa. The main gist is a bunch of high school students are stuck in a large location and are given a stash of food and other items. The only way to get out of the location is to kill another student, and get away with the murder during a class trial. If you are caught, you are executed. If you're not caught, then all the other students will be executed. In each game, there is a mastermind, which has been caught without fail in the three mainline games. (Ignore the V3 a bit since it's scripted.)

In terms of setting, I'd say Hope's Peak Academy would fit the best, or at least Night Raven College, since it was the only real killing game, minus the rudimentary one that also was in Hope's Peak.

I would also like to draft some ultimate talents and executions, as well as a vague timeline.

The Actual Horrors™, the background information (CW: Violence):

It would follow similarly to the actual Danganronpa timeline, with the mastermind being the Ultimate Despair, and causing various events that destroy the world. In this Night Raven decides to preserve its grounds, rather than just one class. (This is how I justify the older students). The current cast are the only ones to agree to stay. Despite NRC being an all boys boarding school, the idea is relatively sound, as there will be human survivors no matter what, and they just need to pick up the pieces and fix the broken world.

Then, the mastermind strikes. They wipe the student's memories of the time stayed in NRC. This results in the students believing they are trapped in the school with no way out. Then Grim, our dear mascot and replacement for Monokuma appears. The general rules are explained, and then it goes onto the actual killing game. More on that later, because now it's time for…

The students:

With NRC being an extremely prestigious school, of course they'd only take the best of the best, and people willing to line their pockets of course. Can't run a school without funds XP.

Riddle Rosehearts: Ultimate Prefect/ Moral Compass. Unlike Kiyotaka Ishimaru (the previous holder of the title), Riddle would be the kind to list every rule broken in a five foot radius with a bit too much precision, and also screaming less.

Ace Trappola: Ultimate Lucky Student. We need one in every class, okay? But it also plays into his card games a bit. We know that he does slight of hand, but I think he should get Ultimate Lucky Student over Ultimate Gambler because he needs at least some luck to survive poking Riddle until he snaps in the original game, and the mines from the Prolog.

Deuce Spade: Ultimate Gang Leader. This plays into his past of being a delinquent in his younger years, as well as giving him a bit of a nudge for the magic bikes present in TWST.

Trey Clover: Ultimate Confectionary. Look at him. That's his whole thing.

Cater Diamond: Ultimate Social Media Influencer. That's kind of his whole personality. I debated giving him the Ultimate Imposter, but decided it didn't match after reviewing his Fandom page.

Leona Kingscholar: Ultimate Magishift Player. I looked through, and considered Ultimate Heir as a cruel joke of fate, and Ultimate Social Studies for a bit. I don't think Ultimate Social Studies is a good assessment, however. While Leona has talent, the only time we see him use it is in the Magishift Tournament in book 2, hence his title.

Ruggie Bucchi: Ultimate Agitator. I considered giving Ruggie the Ultimate Lucky Student for the year above Ace, but I think Agitator works better with his Unique Magic.

Jack Howl: Ultimate Athlete. I want at least some variation in what I give, hence not having another Magishift player. But Jack also participates in other sports and maintains a strong sportsmanship with other athletes.

Azul Ashengrotto: Ultimate CEO/ Loan Shark He manages the Monstro Lounge extremely well, and is savvy in the world of business. The only reason I didn't give him ultimate businessman was because his Unique Magic is contract based. (Cough, book 3, loan sharking, cough)

Jade Leech: Ultimate Manager/ Twin. He manages Floyd. Next!/j. In all seriousness, I think he does have a knack for managing employees, as well as being a part of the fish mafia.

Floyd Leech: Ultimate Fashion Connoisseur/ Twin. Floyd expresses interest in Fashion, particularly after coming to land. If you noticed the second talents for all the Octivinelle students, it's mainly because they would likely lie to not be perceived as suspicious. The second talent would be their true talent, while the first is used to cover up the more suspicious talent.

Kalim Al-Asim: Ultimate Heir. He is the first born child to the ruling family in the Scalding Sands.

Jamil Viper: Ultimate Attendant. While being tied to his past serving Kalim, I think it also encompasses a good deal of what he does. He is extremely talented in a variety of things, mostly house keeping, but also is able to act as body guard.

Vil Schoenheit: Ultimate Actor. As much as it punches me in the gut to not give him Ultimate Beauty, it shows how he's second to Neige, who in this context would be in a different class, but the same year.

Epel Felmier: Ultimate Farmer. Epel was kind of forced under Vil's wing, but still maintains his previous talent for plant growing.

Rook Hunt: Ultimate Hunter and self-proclaimed Beauty Connoisseur. It sort of explains itself.

Idia Shroud: Ultimate Inventor. He's created the marvel of technology that is a sentient and non-malicious AI, as well as creating the body for said AI. He would've preferred Gamer, but his technological feats speak for themselves.

Ortho Shroud: while not an official student, Ortho would call himself the Ultimate Little Brother, or something similar to that.

Malleus Draconia: Ultimate Mage. His magical prowess speaks for itself, much to the chagrin of Leona being unable to get Ultimate Heir himself.

Lillia Vanrouge: Ultimate Caregiver/ Soldier. Lillia prefers to hide his title as ultimate soldier, because it makes others suspicious of him, and his past deeds. The "caregiver" talent comes from raising Malleus and Silver. He was granted access to NRC in order to "keep Malleus in check" (because he was admitted in the past, but only now uses it)

Silver: Ultimate ???/ Hope. He would likely not remember his past, but is the Ultimate hope because he is proof that the many species can live together in peace. And also because of his whole arc in book 7.

Yuu: Ultimate Hope/ Despair. Yes, Yuu. Yuu organized the killing games out of frustration for the current state of the world. Despairing over the further spiraling politics outside, but hopeful of change. They tried to get the students to work together, but when it failed, they decided to make the killing games to force them to work together.

I already covered status effects, so now I cover actual effectiveness

Combat effectiveness:

It would likely depend on how they begin to interact with the BT world. In this case, it will be with a purposeful rift (see my lore post which i will link soon). This entails that the characters are placed in a relatively stable environment (Bizville post time travel).

Because of this, I'd like to double their [SP] drain for now. But the most panicked would be Idia. Most of the characters would likely experience stress from being in a new world, but there's a reason they're in the starting area. Assuming they return to a somewhat stable state, they would be ranked pretty similarly to how they normally would be.

Malleus is obviously the strongest, however several students would be at a disadvantage. Namely students with personalities that inhibit violence, or have {signature spells} that impair or otherwise don't help.

Riddle is the first that comes to mind. Most enemies in BT don't use [SP], which makes his {signature spell} effectively useless. Students with similar struggles would be Azul, Jade (somewhat), Rook, Idia, Silver, and Lillia. Personality wise, Kalim would have trouble with [nooblets] or similarly "cute" enemies. Idia would also have trouble with his avoidance of being outside and any problems. Deuce may also have some troubles, mostly with [noobs] as well as [redcliff knights] [splintered sky knights] and [astral isles mages]. And the [pirates] but he might have less trouble with them.

Some students with a bit of an unexpected edge would include Ortho. Despite not mentioning him in the previous post, Ortho does have guns built into him. Cater also has a small advantage in numbers. Trey could likely use {Paint the Roses} to give buffs that are [removed on strike] to bypass his short effectiveness window. Kalim could play support, but probably wouldn't engage in much fighting in the first place.

I'm not sure how {signature spells} that control people would work, especially since there's no equivalent in the game for obvious reasons.

I am treating all {signature spells} as a fancy buff, spare a few of them that control opponents.

Survivability:

not well. They're in a private school after all

With the already strained relations in the beginning of TWST, I'd assume they'd have trouble working together. Also because they probably are stealing [tix] after battles. Most of them are out of their mirth in survival situations, mostly sheltered students who would be forced to rely on towns and rest stops.

Lillia, Silver, and Sebek could likely survive in the wild for some time. Rook would probably be fine as well.

Other than those few, they'd likely struggle to survive for long periods away from civilization. Since they can't [fast travel] either (presumably) they'd have to plan rations assuming we didn't operate on BT's rules.

Even in civilization Azul's powers are worthless, because no one has {magic} or abilities to steal, spare the few baristas, workers and such. That's also assuming he can even convince them that he has something worth their time, which he likely doesn't other than service.

Ortho is up for debate, since I don't know if he needs to charge or something.

They'll probably survive. Barely. But they're fiiiiine. Most of them should be at least somewhat effective, and could likely survive if they planned and worked together (which is a low chance sometimes)

How well TWST characters would fare in Blocktales! (I will make a TL:DR for this)

I will be working under the assumption that all {magic} costs [SP], and I will do my best to translate status effects, and attempt to somewhat equate [SP] to {magic}. For this case, I'll assume they get [exhaustion] if they run out of [SP] (for {mana} recovery), and characters like Housewardens will naturally have a larger [SP] pool. [HP] and [HP rolling] will vary, however I don't think it's too relevant. Oh, and spoiler warnings for both games. I played all of the available demos in Blocktales, and will refer to the TWST fandom and Blocktales fandom if necessary. All the information is under the cut since it's pretty long winded. Also BT (Blocktales) terms will be in brackets [like this] while Twisted Wonderland (TWST) will be in curly brackets {like this} (FYI).

First: Status effects and combat

All students would use a [ball], because it is ranged, similar to their {magic}, and has a few [cards] that work pretty well with some established {magic}

{Fire magic} has a pretty good equivalent, and is kinda obvious. This would come with the [Fireball] as the go to. The main problem I see would be for stronger {spells}, but it does [stack].

{Ice magic} would likely give [Freeze] or [slow] to a very limited degree, and would use the [Snowball card]. [Stacks] too.

Now the problem arises with other ones, because while {cosmic} can just be the normal [Ball/Superball] there are cases like {Signature spells} that have various effects.

I think {plant magic} could have a small chance to give [poison] or [stung] due to brambles and naturally found poisons in plants (also Bubonic plant, cough)

{Water magic} is a bit tough, while I'm inclined to give it [Painted] because they are both liquid, but I might settle for [slow]

There are other elements, but I'd rather discuss {Signature Spells} and their effects. Spoilers!!! (again)

First: Part 1.5 Signature Spells

Going by order as found in the TWST fandom, {Off With Your Head} primarily stops {magic} from being used, so it would get the effect [silenced] which similarly prevents [SP] from being used

{Joker's Snatch} would probably not have an associated status effect, and would probably just switch [cards] like how it switches {magic} in TWST

{Double Down} would likely give the user [Detachment] (ironically) which would be similar to how it allows a counter to a given spell. (Detachment just increases damage by the amount taken)

{Split Card} would just be [call for help] but I'd give the user [exhaustion] after using it around 2 times

{Paint the Roses} might be similar to [Prayer] I guess? There's not a good equivalent.

{King's Roar} would probably just do straight damage, or maybe give [ATK UP] or [pierce def] it would be funny if it gave [butter fingers] though

{Unleash the Beast} would just be [atk up] and maybe [fast]

{Laugh With Me} would likely have it's own effect

{It's a Deal} can't be used in combat, sorry, they're to busy trying to smash in ur knees to pay attention to paper

{Shock the Heart} also shouldn't be used in combat, but maybe it'd be some kind of assessment?

{Bind the Heart} gives [dodgy] since it effectively prevents damage, but ur gonna have to [supergaurd] a lot to preserve it, so maybe [invisible] to the user. Or [big head] to the target.

{Snake Charmer} would have another effect similar to {Laugh With Me}.

{Oasis Maker}… uh… [HP] healing i guess? Or [fine] similarly to the [feel great] abilities in game

{Fairest One of All} would have to be a load of commands, and likely would give any status conditions depending on the curse made

{Crimson Slumber}: [Sleep]. It's in the name

{Arrow Afar} is not used in combat

{Gate to the Underworld} has no use in combat

{Fae Maleficence} gives [sleep] I guess? well, it depends because the usage is pretty versatile

{Meet in a Dream} cannot be used in battle unless already [sleeping]

{Living Bolt} could give [Dizzy] or [confused] and then [exhaustion] once it wears off (for now)

{Far Cry Cradle} is not used in combat

I'm not including event characters. The only mentionable one is Skully who's {Scary Night} would just give [FROG] because they basically do the same thing.

My previous post got me thinking about the other fandoms I'm invested in, mostly about taboos in the city. This is going to be pretty random and not limited to any particular fandom, just the ones that come to mind. Feel free to correct me. (Minor spoilers for mentioned fandoms)

Assortment of characters that probably break taboos in the City (PM):

Forsaken (does not include upcoming characters):

Two Time (Forsaken): In the realm, they can come back, hence two times (get it?), but that constitutes for reviving the dead. Speaking of which

Most of the Forsaken characters (Forsaken): In a very situational case, this could count as reviving the dead, as a few characters are established to be dead, or implied to be dead. (1337, 007n7 in the old lore, Azure, Chance in the old lore, and more I might not remember)

Chance (Forsaken): gets a second mention because of the flintlock. In game Chance can shoot through walls, I think, even if it gives a worse effect. For this purpose, I think it would go through the wall, and hence breach the clause where guns cannot shoot through walls or steel.

Vee (Forsaken): would count as a Sapient AI, and break that taboo.

The Spectre (Forsaken): I don't know if this counts, but I'm pretty sure it'd constitute for reviving the dead, and having the knowledge to recreate broken taboos.

Guest 666 (Forsaken): might technically be non-human. But the entirely of the cast could be considered Roxbloxian, and hence not human.

1x1x1x1 (Forsaken and in general): A four dimensional creation of hatred. Probably not human.

Noli (Forsaken): Depending on the interpretation, Noli may be able to *theoretically* recreate broken taboos. And Noli is a god, which might classify as non-human.

Nosferatu (Forsaken): Who?/j But, is technically a vampire and not human. May count as a blood fiend, but I think they still break a taboo and made a deal to avoid being wiped out.

Necrobloxicon (Forsaken and in general): it was the reason for the vampires even existing, and has proven some level of sentience through imitating Slasher's mother's (Forsaken) voice. And it can bring back the dead, I think.

Gachiakuta:

Riyo (Gachiakuta): Only here by technicality, but would probably be fine. Especially since it looks like she has a handgun, which likely already has a short barrel, has a weaker caliber, has been audible in the anime, and I don't think it can break through walls or steel.

Blocktales:

The Player (BT): They mostly are fine, unless you count respawns, or having multiple players in a party, however, for all intents and purposes, they don't technically break any taboos.

Captain Trotter (BT): Depending on how you interpret Captain Trotter, he could have been brought back temporarily by the Ancients, and he wields a flintlock, which is subject for debate.

Calypso (BT): Dual wields flintlocks, which is debatable

Komodo Dragon (BT): Sapient non-human, she speaks in dialog.

Statue (BT): Speaks in Chapter 1, so is a sapient non-human. Flaming statues also count in this.

The Blackrock King (BT): Could technically be counted as brought back from the dead, depending on how canon the call-cards are.

Bigfoot (BT): Sapient non-human, I think.

The Ancients (BT): I guess it's a sapient non-human.

Zombies, mummies, vampires, skeletons, and the green hax things (BT): Some are sapient non-humans, and they likely were brought back from the dead.

Some of the pirates (BT): Flintlocks, which are up for debate

Flying Nooblets (BT): I don't know. I'm just confused by them.

Ghost Chef (BT): Brought back from the dead

Medjeb (BT): Shown sapience, and aren't human.

Ants, Mosquitos, Praying Mantis, Ant Queen, and Mosquito Queen (BT): Sapient non-humans, I think

Twisted Wonderland and the City from Project Moon

I have quite a bit of fandoms I enjoy, two of them being Project Moon, and Twisted Wonderland. I'll be referencing the Miraheeze wiki for the taboos. (Spoilers for book 6, or more)

TWST characters that break taboos:

Off the bat, all Fae, Beastfolk, and merfolk.

So already Leona, Jack, Ruggie, Azul, Floyd, Jade, Sebek, Lillia, and Malleus. Grim is also a sentient non-human as proven by bipedal movement and speech. All of these violate the city wide taboo of "Non-humans with human sapience/sentience are not permitted within the city."

On a similar note, Ortho is immediately unable to enter due to being a part of "No sapient A.I. ("Artificial Intelligence Ethics Amendment")". Idia would theoretically be able to recreate Ortho, or continue to supplement bodies which counts for "Having the knowledge to recreate a previously broken taboo, such as through a recipe", as well as potentially violating "No more than one of an individual may exist in the City for longer than 7 days, measured by A Corp.'s timescale."

Now that all the students that physically can't enter, there are more petty ones, particularly with Cater for now. Notably by how he is often taking pictures. Depending on where he is or what time it is, he could violate taboos that prohibit recording (District 14 and District 21, as well as Night in the Backstreets).

There also is when Idia has access to guns that could break through walls, and potentially steel. (Connections to STYX). Which would be a violation. There is also the potential breaking of several rules, see the page on guns here (https://projectmoon.miraheze.org/wiki/Workshop). However, I could not find any reference for STYX equipment, but with how strong they are, it would likely equate to breaking a taboo.

While it could be possible that the City consider's Ortho as revival, Ortho already has broken several taboos, so it doesn't matter too much, especially with how it was covered in Book 6.

So, I've actually had a lot of my characters for a while, and I'm feeling bored, so I'm eventually going to introduce some of them.

Britney/Avi - she/her

I made Britney when listening to Hollow Bones by worzy, hence bird design. In her older designs she wore a cloak to hide the bird-ness and blend in with humans, but right now, I'm redesigning her.

She has a very minor lore presence, if at all. She was the god's first real creation, sort of like a first born, which makes her technically the heir. Because of this, she doesn't actually have a fragment, and can give her own eventually. She's rather sheltered and a bit desensitized to violence due to the constant angst in crossovers, and eating rats. Not to mention she is based off of crows and the male appearance of Asian koels. She's also rather tall, with her older lore estimating her to be roughly seven to seven and a half feet tall.

Her physical appearance was initially inspired by just-a-joey's Aeacus design for the bird aspects. (Am I allowed to put the @ or not???)

LORE

I really forgot to post here, lol.

I have OC lore I wanna share before I post them tho.

Fragments:

a fragment of a god's personality, usually a trait like hunger or love

can give a lot of power to the new host, but eventually overrides their personality to better fit the fragment.

Basically a parasite that can give potential upsides, but will eventually harm the host (hence why I use host to refer to the person with the fragment)

it is possible for a fragment to make it's own host (and is their own oc)

fragments prevent permanent death and give access to an "in-between" world of sorts where people can interact with different worlds (how I make all my AUs canon in a sense)

In-between world:

It's the solution from the god, for a problem the god made

It's sort of like an egg carton, keeping worlds close rather than extremely distant

the main problem is when a world begins to leak, like a broken egg

this can cause unintentional crossovers between worlds, but not in a very organized way

residents of the world will see borders to other worlds, and it can cause damage to both worlds if not remedied quickly

the hosts mentioned before are sent to mend this rift

Cross-Overs:

there are two kinds, intentional and unintentional

I already referenced the unintentional kind in the previous section

intentional cross-overs are different, where there is a controlled fusion of copies of the worlds

it keeps the original world intact, while being able to mess around with a mixture of the two worlds

there's a lot more control over intentional crossovers, like how much is included, how the story unfolds, etc

unintentional crossovers damage the original worlds

the God (I don't have a good name for them):

sort of like the Spectre from forsaken, but not

it's sort of a self insert in a way

basically they have the fragments and can gift them to people

they created the in-between world and forced the worlds to be close together

currently MIA due to excessive fragmentation (too many ocs to focus on rn)

enjoys entertainment and plays favorites, a lot

can and will introduce two completely different worlds for sillies (I've thought of Twisted Wonderland and the City from Project Moon)

I really need to post my art. This is about my Gachiakuta x Block Tales AU. I've seen a few Player designs incorporate aspects of Fear, Greed, Sorrow (formerly Solitude), and Hatred. It's not included but there's a pattern on the back of the vest with Fear's hands and stuff. Also, a WIP Mysterious Figure design! Sorry if you can't read my hand writing

The text has stats for Rudo, Zanka, Riyo, Enjin, and Jabber. Personally, I'd think Jabber would be like a boss or mini-boss since he's extremely strong, and because of Mankira. These are just drafted stats, and will probably need to be changed in the future if the balance is off. Please feel free to suggest changes! :)

I had and AU idea

Forgive any mistakes I make in this. This is my first real post of any of my ideas.

Anyways, I had an idea some time ago about a Gachiakuta x Block Tales AU where the player is sent to the Gachiakuta world before reaching the Mysterious Figure. This leaves the player, which remains as a robloxian — hence still made of code and now reasonably buggy — in a brand new world. BUT, I wanted to preserve the original mechanics of Block Tales. So the player interacts with the world just the same as before, having the equivalent of a larger world to roam and search for the Mysterious Figure, the Illumina, and Builderman. Now, I also wanted the absurdity of some mechanics to shine through, like recovering from mortal damage with a coconut (it gives 4hp so it works???).

I sort of headcanoned that the player is at least reasonably smart, but can have lapses of judgement. The most prominent I wanted to have was the player confusing the Angel, who framed Rudo at the start of Gachiakuta, and the Mysterious Figure (and anyone wearing a hood).

This thought has been brewing for a while now, so I might add some of my art soon, as well as the stats for some characters. Also please do leave suggestions.
