Some oracle ladies ready to read your future from patreon.
They started out as random fae/monster dancer designs but they ended up looking like they Know Things.
Some design concepts from patreon that I’ve been thinking about lately integrated into colorful dancers who would cut each other on stage but are probably on sassy but amicable terms otherwise. lady up top is based on mushrooms with boar and moth elements. I liked the idea of her legs mimicking the lacy veils some mushrooms have and will probably re-use that concept because i think it looks neat.
The dude on the bottom is based on banana slugs, sea slugs, and origami. I wanted to play with the idea of a race of slug nymphs much like my oyster nymphs, who have a ‘regular’ slug body but use their slime to extend themselves into a more humanoid form to walk around in. I’ll probably also explore this more later. I also though it would be funny if his color had nothing to do with the toxicity that should come with it. Like, he looks very edgy and poisonous when at most he can give you a weird tingle.
More patreon stuff. Thinking up more sea nymph designs and playing with digital painting a little bit. I am not good at digital painting! But this was good practice.
The lady up top is sort of based on those weird sea monsters you see in the corners of maps. She definitely needs to be more goofy if I sincerely wanted to go for that look, but she’s probably part mermaid or something. I’ll probably draw a goofier member of her family tree some other time. Also, I mainly drew her because I wanted to see if I could design a bra around the horrible thought: “what if boobs were just curled up tentacles?”. I feel like I succeeded.
The bean on the bottom is based off of sea angels, jellyfish, and marine worms. I feel like they’re more of a genderless siren thing than a true sea nymph. They are curious, cute, and helpful when they want to be, but are not above singing the things they want out of humans hanging out in their territory and crashing rude boats. The worm thing is probably not usually as squished into the clear pocket of their ‘face’ but I liked it too much to change it.
eyy gold party
that room has a distinct odor that i can almost smell from here
Apparently, color change sapphires exist - in yellow, blueish and reddish variants, depending on daylight.
(Sorry for reupload, got a constructive feedback and improved it hopefuly!)
life is back pain
i once heard a scientist in a documentary about evolution refer to the human spine as an “architectural nightmare” and then procede to explain why every back is a bad back. it was so validating.
I adjusted my bra straps wrong one day and I’ve been in a ridiculous amount of pain for the past week.
