All the versions of Spamtenna are always so fun to play around with. This is Addispam and Tennaville, so… is this ship name Addispamtennaville? I like to think they squabble a bit, but click really well when first meeting. I also think they’d bond over both being haters. Gossipers. As seen below:

To be so honest I think I’ve been requested to draw this au a bunch of times but I never realized it was an au and I thought it was just like “draw spam getting cleaved for angst reasons” and idk that never really appealed to me. But the au is like.. they stayed together and are happily married and spamton is sweaty and tired and wants to protect his partner and yk? That does appeal to me 😌

In the swap au i get the vibe that Tenna listened to Spam even after they both got big- but when they reunite it seems like Tenna is way sassier and fine to do his own thing even if he does like/want to be around spam again. If that's the case, did that take spam offgaurd? I feel like he'd expect Tenna to come back immediately and start listening to him like old times- and Tenna just. Not Doing That would be a shocking pill to swallow lol.

It’s a complicated war between performance and reality for swap Tenna, but when seeing modern Spamton (Holospam), all Tenna sees is another performance. Spamton might want to reconcile wearing his bright, shiny, big shot persona because he feels it’s the only way someone would take him seriously, but it’s all a facade born of his self loathing and desire for power and fame. And tenna might not be able to break down all the layers of Spamton’s psyche, but he can tell it isn’t really him when he’s using Holospam. At least, not the Spamton he knew from their prime.

So post-shadow crystal fight, post-canon, and post-reconcile, Tenna’s show is all over, and his persona may persist here and there, but he’s most occupied with getting what he wants over feeling he needs to perform. So yeah he’d just tell Spamton that he needs to turn off his tech if they’re gonna chat person to person. It’s the only way Tenna could do the same, too. If one person is performing, then aren’t they both?

…plus Tenna just prefers normal Spamton. That’s the guy he fell in love with all those years ago!! Not the hollow beautified Spam…
