this is more applicable for kassandra circa the legacy of the first blade era, or rather like… the time between then and the post sealing atlantis ending of the game, but like. knowing that her son goes on to have a family of his own, that she’s an ancestor of those who officially start the hidden ones, that her bloodline, once again, is responsible for greatness.

she grew up on stories about her grandfather, leonidas i of sparta, who held back xerxes’ move onto greek land during the greco-persian war with his army of 300 etc. she grew up hearing the stories of how he descended from herakles himself, how because of her bloodline she was capable of amazing things. that she’s strong. she’s devastated, of course, to have to leave her child behind, but she’s also beyond proud to know that because of him, there’ll always be a balance in the world.
