its been nearly a year i havent go back to my home country, indonesia. finally having this chance to go back i wont waste ;).
took a night plane from changi, and arrived at the hotel 2am jakarta time. i stay in this hotel for 2 days,
its a japanese hotel, and as could be seen from the picture, the room isnt too big but nicely firnished. isnt it? :D
yeap, so my mom was already sleeping when i was knocking on the door. :p sorry mom. lol and i make her to stay up abit just to hear my crappy story. i have this habit to non stop talking to people whom i missed. hehe. :p excuse! xD
anyway, me and mom having breakfast in the next day. quite late actually. around 9.30 am ish? yeah. both of us went down to the buffet place to eat.
u really know me well? then i wont explain the first thing i had..
and following with walking around the place to target what i wanted to have for breakkie.. lol. weird habit isnt it?
i wanted something fresh to start so i stack up salad, with sundried tomatoes, slice of salmon,olives, lemon slice and slivered almonds.
that grilled salmon is from my mom! really she feels her plate were to much and trash the rest things to my plate -_- cool! lol
next, i always need my cereal!! :O so i get this:
was a bowl of milk and berries (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, some berry i dont know the name lol) and all bran with weet bix.
CEREAL MUSH! OOOWW YEA! food porn in the morning really do me good ;)
owkay, this is embarassing that actually i always make a holiday session as an excuse to pig out at hotel breakfast buffet. actually me, mom, dad, and my sister always come early, and went out the latest from the hotel breakfast area. haha.
yeah, we always spent time there, compete to stack up the most prettiest breakfast and tries all bits of food there ;p having more than 5 course. seriously, i am not kidding! :D we always having a good chat, from morning till afternoon.
its like combined breakfast, brunch as well as lunch! cool isnt it?hehe
so while having the chat session with mom i had this saltines plate. consist of water cracker, flat bread, cheese stick, cheddar cheese, mozzarella slice, and comes later a pat of blue cheese. yumm! it was light. i tried every bits :p
after having this, a friend of my mom coming. so, spent more more more time chatting again while had above dish. i create my own croque madamme. supposed to have that "mock holandaise" sauce otop, but i forgot to caps it haha.
i travelled from bread corner for whole wheat bread, cheese corner for cheddar cheese, salad corner to get that salami and the mock sauce, and finally to the egg corner. seriously, its better then a restaurant made. haha. okay that i break the role to whip creamy mustard and ranch dressing to moch the hollandaise, but it do well with the croque! the poached egg? dont even ask. it was perfectly oozing out when i prick into the yolk. get porned up enough? no? hha. try make it your own. :P jks.
amused? haha. it was PRUNES! i know i need to aid my digestion due to having this gala breakkie. so PRUNES act as a doctor to my tummy. it do wonder! xD
finally, the closing was:
scone with clotted cream and strawberry jelly. okay, to be honest i love jam not jelly on top of my scone. this set me off a bit, but!!!! the scone explain why i enjoy the scone much much much more better.
it was clearly a good scone! perfect outer colour, smallish size, and moist in the inside. got that butter yummyness and a slight sweet. having this with another cup of hot coffee and a sides of light chit chat with mom and her friend. :D
the second day i dont have the pictures ;( but it pretty much the same portions ;') but different foods. having japanese curry with steamed rice, a side of natto,
pancake with maple and jam, some asian dish i forgot the name, and i actually repeat the saltines plate and croque madame. haha. since my sister and dad finally came so i have this competition making croque madamme. we both adore the croque! lol.
after spent 2 night in that hotel, there was some changes in the plan. i finally got the time to go back to my hometown. bandung.
i met all of my big family members there. since we have this gathering in my youngest niece 1st bday party.

BEHOLD!! THE FOOD SESSION ISNT FINISHD YET!!
In the third day i went to "ORIGIN" an organic restaurant in my hometown. had brunch with dad, sister, and my niece (who took the picture).
i had a bowl of pumpkin soup and whole wheat bread. (unpicture, so sad!)
my niece had sandwich which also unpictured :( and sister had pasta and cream sauce.
silly, this essential of course.. duh!
having it and yeah, sister had petit croissant le side.
the next day, last day in my home town i went to "hummingbird" another themed restaurant with mom and dad. bump up to the cool aunty and uncle there! nice!

its another cool restaurant with nice food! i wanted to order the escargot, but since its still too early my tummy havent set up enough to receive the richness of ot ;(
sooooo, i ordered a menu called "sweettooth". i was perfectly amused by the name, since its placed in a breakfast section. being brave i order that. i was afraid that it will be too sweet for breakfast but. NO!
it was a banana cake with cream cheese icing. but they made it with a breakfast mindset in head. so its not that sweet but really appetizing. i could feel the sting of bana and a not overwhelming creamcheese frost.
again, cup of americano le side ;)
my dad, were so so so happy to find a friend that could enjoy coffee as much as he do! some more, its me! his daughter! the night before my last day, i went out to supermarket with dad, and we went to a cafe near the supermarket. had a cup of coffee to share (since its already night) and chat alot thing about coffee! haha. funny aye? ;)
aww.. i missed them already :( cant wait till the next holiday to come! :D yay! april come quick! wait, NO.. not for the exam stuff! lol ;)
