          His reaction is immediate. Dog stands at attention, his short ears perked and head held high, staring expectantly at the woman.   And then he barks twice, loud and affirmative. Of course he has!! Somebody’s got to!!  He knows she can still fight, but he SEES her when she’s at camp...                                             Wynne is Tired. She’d old, too. She shouldn’t have to hunt for her own food. So he did it for her, of course!   --That’s what friends did, right? Help each other out??  Of course!

         He plunks his bum down on the dirt, his stubby little tail wiggling on the ground. He continues to stare at her, not once suspecting that he’d done anything wrong at all.  Of course he didn’t...! There was plenty of meat left on those carcasses, and Wynne needed to build her strength up. He did something good! Right??--Of course he did!!
