Went to listen Spotify (free version) after like a week of not using it since I've been listening to my CDs, and the difference in sound quality is shocking

#I had no idea before I got back into old music media devices that CDs have better quality than digital streaming damn #as someone who isn't very music nerdy I never really paid attention to the audio quality #but DAMN #there's albums I have listened on streaming thousand times before #and on CDs I can here COMPLETE new instruments on the tracks holy hell #it's so SO much better and the music has MORE IN IT on CDs #it's impressive #mab listens music

How to explain to people that it's not necessarily a problem for me to wake up early. The problem is that my body's and brain's energy levels are that of a toddler. And if I wake let's say at 6am, I will be exhausted and ready for bed at 3-4pm despite not doing anything particularly high energy demanding. Which is a problem.

I have got my hands on an external cd drive. Will be burning albums on cd's of my fav artists who have no physical options sold of their music (after I buy their music's digital copies! I want to support them ofc!)

#there's a Finnish artist called Pehmoaino who doesn't sell physical copies of their music so I'm defo getting her album #also Ellie Dixon DOES sell on her own page physical copies but those are impossible get here #(and ordering all the way from USA would be horribly expensive. generational dept expensive.)#so I'm thinking that buying their albums as digital copies on Qobuz will be the first ones #I still do prefer buying the official physical copies of music if the artist offers one tho #but alas #mab listens music #(oh also I bought a portable cd player! it's awesome and I love it and it actually fits in my jean pockets!)#edit: also Kiki Rockwell's albums!! need those #edit edit: checked and Ellie Dixon is actually from UK might consider ordering the album?? maybe #the customs from UK are horrible tho... fuck Brexit

On a side note, as someone who just finished DCC four (The Gate of The Feral Gods), I'm really intrigued seeing at what point Mordecai might(?) realize and how he reacts one: upon realising he is the guide/manager for probably one the Crawls historically most powerful and most impactful crawler(s) so far(maybe???) and two: when he finds out properly that Carl's (and Donut's indirectly? maybe future books directly if Donut gets in on the stuff more) intentions are technically not to one on one survive the dungeon and make a decent deal on a later level but straight up fuck The Syndicate up and (it starts to really seem or even already be like) to start real rebellion and wars in real world outside the Crawl. I'm really interested to see how Mordecai feels about the whole thing

I've read three Dungeon Crawler Carl books in a row and I think I need something else for now gods especially since the last one (book four) which is close to 600 pages I managed to read in nine days.

Ah the first sign of getting relaxed despite my shitty unemployment situation and the extra stress from family holiday plans. And of course I get some calls about planned renovations in the apartment building I live in on rent and that there's specifically problems with it in my apartment.

I've been going through my mom's old cassettes to find out their contents. And she had accidentally recorded in one of them the full radio news from 2001 (also pre 9/11), and let me tell you: the peace I felt while listening that was immense.
