북미섭에서 일하는 CM(Community Manager)커뮤니티 매니저 Sabina(사비나)라는 분께서 2월 10일 2017년에 행한 라이브 스트리밍 트위치 이벤트가 끝난후에 지인으로 보여지는 분께 태양과 달의 검을 공짜로 주었다는 논란이있습니다.

루에리 서버에서 누렙이 평균으로 15,000이 넘는 굇수분들이 Xelia라는 유저가 태달검을 착용하고있는 것 을 보게 됩니다. 수많은 유저분들께서 스샷과 질문을 하자 Xelia라는 분은 당황하며 “이 검은 진짜다. 이벤트 보상으로 받았다.” 라고 대답했습니다.

루에리서버 유저분들은 “너보다 더 강하고 누렙이 높은 유저들 조차 재료를 모으기에 시간과 돈이 엄청 많이들고 심지어 재료를 구한 사람도 거의 없음에 불구하고 어떻게 네가 이 검을 가지고 있냐?” 분노하며 계속 질문하며 신고한다고 협박을 하자, Xelia님은 검을 착용취소 하시고 로그오프하셨습니다.

이 이벤트를 알리는 포스트는 2월 7일 2017년에 올려졌으며, 설명은 이러합니다.

북미섭에 몽환의 라비던전이 들어온날은 8월 10일 2016년입니다.

계산을 해보시면 북미섭에 몽환의 라비던전이 생긴지 6개월밖에 안된다는겁니다. 태양과 달의 검을 만드려면 무시무시한 던전을 돌면서 희귀한 재료들을 모아야된다는건데 한국섭에서 최초로 만드신분이 8개월이나 걸렸는데 북미섭은 오죽할까요?

특히나 한국섭에서 최초로 만드신분은 검 자체에만 7,000 USD까지 쓰셨다고합니다. (재료비,재료 구하는 시간등등)

문제가 되는것은 바로 GM도 아니신 CM분이 (Community Manager) 지인분으로 측정되는분한테 이벤트 상품이다 치고 무료로 이 검을 Xelia라는 유저분께 드린것입니다. 물론 GM도 같은 행동을 했을시에 문제지만, CM이라뇨? GM도 아닌 CM이?

수많은 루에리 서버 유저분들께서 분노하며 수많은 질문과 포스트를 마비노기 공식 포럼 사이트에 올렸음에도 불구하고 이 내용에 관한 포스트들이 싹 다 깔끔히 지워졌다는 것 입니다. 심지어 몇몇분들은 설명도 주어지지 않은채 포럼에 포스트 쓰는것조차 금지되어버렸습니다. Sabina님은 이 포스트들에 반박하는 포스트를 쓰셨으나 태양과 달의 검을 준 Xelia님이 자신과 친하지 않다는 증명을 하지않은채 그저 루머일뿐이다라고만 주장을 했습니다.

So I translated the incident in korean as best as I can, but if anyone else sees mistranslation or false information, you are more than welcomed to correct it and edit the post. Here is the incident explained in English:

This afternoon, Saturday, Feb 11th, 2017, a player named ‘Xelia’ was confronted by a group of players near the West Dunbarton Moon Gate. I happened to record the entire incident him while I was streaming by accident. A huge crowd began to gather around this player, taking screenshots and questioning him. The crowd included a group of the most elite players on Ruairi, including myself. Why did we question Xelia? When confronted about the legitimacy of the Soluna Blade he had equipped, he claimed that he was given the Soluna from a “special streaming event.” He said that he was allowed to pick any item in the game as a reward. Obviously, this is completely false. What streaming event? When was the announcement? Why does nobody know? Nothing began to add up. The group began to get angry with him, and we questioned him further. He seemed to panic, and get nervous. Someone said the sword was a fake, and he said “it’s real,” stating “I don’t care what you think.” Soon after, I threatened to report the user, and he unequipped the Soluna Blade and logged off. Before he left, we had questioned him about it being legit and how he managed to craft it when none of the endgame players who were much stronger than him/had been hunting for mats for a long time had almost NO materials for it.

Very odd, but something was definitely up. Here’s what we on Ruairi know. He’s friends with (and rumored to be married - coming from multiple sources, not confirmed) to a player named ‘Chusi’ on the Ruairi server. 'Chusi’ is fairly well-known and is known friends with Sabina, and even has exclusive pink wings that nobody else on the server owns. These are a custom wing item only for Chusi, that she supposedly “won through a rigged event” as multiple sources tell me. The theory is that Xelia, being close friends, possibly married with Chusi, asked Chusi to get Sabina to give him the Soluna blade. Word spread quickly across our own server, Ruairi, about the gathering in Dunbarton. Multiple threads on the Nexon Mabinogi forums were created in the General Chat section. The first thread related to the Soluna Blade was renamed and then deleted. Odd, we thought. But we later found out that a user by the name of //Redacted// asked for the contents to be renamed and deleted because //Redacted//. More and more people posted threads and screenshots about the situation, but they were deleted without warning… Even threads with polite requests for information about the “alleged” streaming event were deleted by Forum moderators… No explanation was given… Angry, users continued to create threads, and a few users were banned from using the forums altogether, and were even unable to access the webpage temporarily.

Now, everyone on Ruairi knows about 'Xelia’ and the situation. People are right to be upset, and we deserve an explanation. There is foul play at work, potentially hacking, and speculated favoritism between Sabina and 'Xelia’. If confirmed, Sabina would be violating NA Nexon policies relating to distributing ingame items to players…

That’s what we know. The Ruairi Alliance Discord is a free outlet for information. There’s no way this is all just a coincidence or some no-named Fashionogi managed to create a Soluna Blade before the elite players on Ruairi. So how did he obtain it? Stay tuned…

Another thing, though take this with a grain of salt because I am using a new tumblr since I locked my old one. I was once semi-chatty with Chusi and around the time she was getting close to Sabina (or so I assume), she showed up out of nowhere with a bhafel hunter+huntress.

I was already skeptical because I kept tabs on practically every bhafel bow on the server because I was always curious to know which stats everyone had, it was a silly thing I did. None the less, we got to talking and when my bf & I asked to see it, we noticed that every stat on the bow was base grade, as if it was user generated rather than crafted. That bow can ONLY be crafted btw, it’s not the same as the BDK.

So I asked where she got it, she told me she “bought it from someone” but even though I didn’t believe it I just let the convo go at that, because I feel like I would have known, and the likelihood of someone crafting a bow with base grade stats is extremely slim.

I never felt good about any of that, and now with this, I really don’t. My word may not hold much weight since I quit, but I think it’s absolutely fucked up to give out free endgame weapons, regardless of their stats, to random players due to favoritism or “events” clearly not advertised as company sponsored or to the availability of the whole server. If it was just cosmetic items this would hardly be an issue but these items take ages to afford/craft and they are meant to be the best the game has to offer.

It’s bullshit. You’ll run the game into the ground real fast with behavior like this and a huge debacle happened in RO2 (otherwise crap game, I know) over the same sort of behavior with GMs/Mods giving free actual gear handouts to players.
