and while i'm at it, a few fun facts about these two

when i first created dr. blue, he was initially intended to be a background character and separate from the main doctors team, but he has been adopted in. and i am so unbelievably glad for it

in his original character design, blue had a semi transparent prosthetic featuring LEDS. he used to work with more kids than adults, suffering with severe conditions, and the lights were to have some party tricks to cheer the kids up while he was working in physical therapy with them. the only consistent thing about his prosthetic over his designs has been the orange band from the shoulder to the palm in memory of his brother

memory's original name was going to be lullaby, but that ended up going to their blaster (who, while likely will never be shown, is still a functioning piece of code somewhere in her star.) lullaby has no attacks and is a relatively unstable amalgam of remaining bone attacks and true lab material. they act as a horse like mobility aid for blue and memory in another world

memory's name would not be memory if the current nightwatch timeline went differently :)! (it would very likely end up being messenger instead)

last two . if memory's undyne survived, they would have a very similar message in their path to healing :) in any sort of facility-like building, blue has a habit of memorizing any sort of escape route, even ones he wouldn't fit in anymore
