idk how to word this but i feel like episode speculation is a double-edged sword because it’s really fun to theorize and think about what-ifs, especially if you have a community to share in the experience with. but also if u get too set in the version you came up with and it begins to veer away from speculation into expectation, then it can ruin the viewing experience for you

also can we give glenn his praise and love and flowers now. that was phenomenal acting from him. he conveyed dennis' anger and frustration and sadness the way he tries so hard the way he exhausts himself on the phone to customer service the look in his eyes during the whole heart thing. it WAS emotional and glenn brought sooo much complexity to it. they promised us great acting from glenn and they delivered

Dennis is fully aware that he’s conditioned the gang to ignore him when he asks for help—he’s even aware that constantly giving Mac “tests” over the years worked and made Mac think his cries for help are fake—and he tells himself that he’s better off this way that he’s better off alone anyway but he still needs them he still can’t have a fantasy without them he can never disconnect himself from them no matter how hard he tries or how much he convinces himself he’s better off alone
