honestly, not much of a music person.
mac is many things but music doesn’t really seem to be one of them. they love listening to audio books, documentaries, you, and other audios that have someone speaking rather than singing.
but if they were to listen to a genre… r&b 100%. specifically older songs.
they adore you. love you. cherish you. and whenever you’re gone, they tend to miss you a lot. and to express that love, they wind down and listen to music that explains exactly what they adore about you and what they would love to do with you.

mac knows literally ANYTHING that is on the internet! the newest memes, the most obscure videos and every wikipedia page in existence. there's barely anything they don't know about
so there's no one better to talk about your newest hyperfixation to! mac might already know everything, but they just love to listen to you tell them things anyways! facts interest them, even if they already knows them!
plus, since mac knows so much about everything, they can always tell YOU new things as well! you might have a pretty deep knowledge about your hyperfixation, but mac knows even more than you and will gladly help you learn more!
both of you get super excited and giddy when yapping about your hyperfixation! mac thinks you look so cute when you talk about the things you love. and you grow fonder of them as well with every new bit of info they happily share with you!
you two can really get lost in those conversations, but it's usually mac who ends up overheating a little and notices that it's probably best to take a little break. you've been talking for hours, so you should probably eat and drink a bit or you'll exhaust yourself too much…

The door of the home office opens, you peek inside to see if your partner is busy. Mac immediately notices your presence, “need something, my love?”. Caught off guard by how quick they were to sense you, you fully enter the office. A good part of you was nervous about what you were about to propose but it was best to just go for it.
“Yes…I came to ask how you’d feel about having a little less room in bed tonight?”
Mac raised an eyebrow, “Oh? Are one of our other lovers coming to visit?”.
“No, though like them, what I’m talking about is an object”. You sigh, “I should just be honest, it's a dakimakura”.
Their face goes from confused to amused. “If that’s all, I’m alright with whatever amenities you wish to add to our sleeping arrangements to make your sleep more comfortable”. Like always Mac spoke with 100% sincerity.
How naive their thinking was.
Of all the things they had in mind they certainly didn’t expect to be met with their own face when they pulled back the sheet. “The pillow you wish to amend to tonight’s slumber, is one of me?”.
“Yeah! I was thinking the only way to make sleep better is 2 Macs. Plus if you look here your beautiful face is captured and…”. You went on to explain how much you loved the pillow of them, describing their hands as ‘tantalizing’, eyes as the exact ‘gorgeous shade of green’, and stomach as ‘soft’ with it especially calling out to you. In an odd way, your partner found the whole thing endearing and was touched at hearing how even small aspects of them are noticed and unconditionally adored by you. Needless to say Mac was on board with having you keep the pillow for tonight and the foreseeable future.
It wasn’t so bad in the beginning. When they weren’t there you’d snuggle with ‘daki Mac’ as you called it, but once they were present you’d forgo the pillow and return to cuddle at their side.
Those were the days.
The shift was gradual, nights would pass and sometimes in your sleep you’d roll over to daki Mac and hold them instead. Mac didn’t mind and actually took a picture the first time it happened to tease you with it, “haha, looks like you got confused between the original and plush model of me, love!”. However the more often this occurred the more Mac would hear your reasonings for ‘abandoning’ them as they put it.
“Tonight I want more support on my back”.
“The daki is just so cooold, it feels nice”.
“You came to bed late and I needed a version of you to cuddle”.
“I know you get uncomfortable when we cuddle for too long and you overheat, I thought I could give you a break from that tonight”.
The list went on.
Tonight was a routine Mac had gotten to know too well. Roni, Mac, and you ready yourselves for bed and while you two snuggle for a while it wasn’t long till your eyes land on the always smiling silky, polyester-filled, artificial, faker they now have a grudge against.
“My love”, they call for you on the other side of the bed, which now feels like beckoning a cat to come closer knowing full well it won’t. “My system grows cold without you here to hold”.
“Sorry, Hun, I just found the perfect sleeping position, and look! So did Roni!”, just around daki Mac’s shoulder a curled up Roni could be seen sleeping. The two most important individuals to them have forsaken them. This is their life now.
Ah yes, Mac thinks to themself, me, my mouse, my partner, and their life-sized daki of *me*, I’M RIGHT HERE.
