I don’t know how to stay tender with this much blood in my mouth
Ophelia, Act IV, Scene V (via sumiremiu)
Shelley Hennig’s instagram story 22/09/2018.

Atie stared down at the other’s phone, eyes widening slightly .”What the hell?? Your mom is so cool! I wish my mom liked stuff like that. And plants are so good, I’ve filled my apartment with them. It’s a very artsy apartment, it’s one of my favourite places to be.
“You’d love my mom, when she comes down here you’re going to meet her. She was one of the first tattooed models in the 90′s before Suicide Girls came out. Her and my dad both are weird like me, you’d dig it.” She listened to Artie explain her apartment, and it sounded like somewhere she’d feel right at home herself. “We need to have sleepovers, Artie. Just be creepy freaks in our little artsy apartments at 3am, it needs to happen.”

Joel forgot how cute she looked when she blushed. “I can’t believe I can still make you blush.” He noticed she was trying to hide it. But it was too late, he immediately saw her flushed cheeks. “That’s fucking trippy. But that’s probably the point. I hope your able to start filming. I really do want you to be happy, Macky. And you seem to be.” In the back of his mind he wanted to know what the voicemail said and why she just didn’t ignore it. Joel cleared his throat. “So why did you come?” His eyes scanned her from top and bottom. He was hoping he’d see some kind of tell, in case she didn’t give a truthful answer. Deep down Joel hoped that the reason was to see if they could make it work again.
The color in Macky’s face only grew deeper at his words. “Yeah well...I can’t believe you’re still pointing it out.” She laughed a little bit at how the situation was playing out between them but as he continued to talk, her smile faded. Did he have to ask her that? Couldn’t they just talk for a few more minutes until it became awkward and she inevitably left? “I don’t know,” she responded truthfully. “I just...It felt like I had to. Like I should. I couldn’t ignore that.” Macky shrugged, not wanting to keep talking in fear of what she’d reveal about herself. Joel was the one person who, despite how much he hurt her, she couldn’t refuse him. No matter how much time had passed, he was still the one pool she’d happily drown in.

“ Well with me I have no one left so I am not going to let some girl take away the last thing I have that connects me to my family. I know I have my memories and photos but it’s nice to have something real”
Macky was quiet for a moment, trying to come up with a response. It was very rare that she was lost for words, so she wracked her brain for something to say back. “Uh...” She stammered after a bit, not even sure if she could come up with something to alleviate the tension. “Yeah that’s some shit man, you’re right. It really do be like that sometimes.”
“I thought maybe if I met someone else that I’d be able to stop thinking about you, but it didn’t work. Nothing works. When I’m with them, I wish it was you. When they laugh or talk, I can’t help but compare them to your voice or your laugh. It’s always been you; it’ll always be you.”
— Kirsty Moseley, The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window (via simply-quotes)

He could tell Macky was caught off guard about what he said. Joel hid his smirk. Yes, he has a I don’t care about anything attitude a lot of the time. But when it came to the people that he truly cared about, his memory never failed him. How could it? His ex was unforgettable in the best possible way. When Macky sat down, Joel sat up a little wanting to give her his full attention. “An award? That’s great.” His usual unfazed facial expression turned into a smile. Even though he could never understand how a girl like Macky could be obsessed with horror. He did however understand how hard of a worker she was, and how passionate she was about her career. “What was the script about?” He nodded his head in agreement when she spoke the famous phrase.
Macky blushed when he commented about the award and it forced her to look down quickly. She knew the color was all over her face, but she hoped he wouldn’t realize how he was making her feel right now. “Um, well this one was a psychological thriller about a girl who takes care of her dying grandmother. And then after she dies the girl begins to have flashbacks and hallucinations as if she’s still there, and by the end of it you can’t really tell what’s reality and what’s in the protagonist’s head.” She looked back at him, trying to read his face. "It took us a few months to write it, but by the end I was really pleased with it. We’re trying to get funding to start filming in the spring.” She wanted to find a way take the subject off of herself, fearing if he asked the right questions she’d open up and breakdown all the walls she’d carefully constructed. “But um...You know, that’s pretty much all I have going on. Nothing too crazy.”

He looked at her and smiled a little. “ You can’t think like that it’s a ring it has nothing to do with her cheating on me she did that herself, and the right woman should have it.” He replied looking at her nods his head. “ I am okay thanks”
“Oh, maybe that’s just a me thing. I attach people to objects and places. Like I don’t go to certain parks or bars because they remind me of my ex and I got a new bed when we broke up,” she shrugged. “It’s probably healthier to view it your way though. Can’t buy a bed every time you get hurt. Even though I would love to.”
parkercullen:
“Hm, good question. Definitely Angel from Rent - that counts, right? It was made into a movie.” Parker asks, humming softly at the thought. “Let’s see…Genie from Aladdin, and Dill Penderghast from Easy A.”
Macky put her hand to her chest dramatically, grabbing Parker’s wrist lightly with her free hand. “Does Rent count? Baby, I’m from New York -- Rent always counts,” She let go of him after a second, smiling again. “Who is that in Easy A? I’ve seen that movie a million times and now I’m realizing I know no one’s name but Emma Stone.”
yeahhmariahh:
“Um, alright. Give me a minute.” Mariah thought long and hard about the question. She nibbled on her turkey sandwich. “My first pick is Ariel from The Little Mermaid, next is Cady from Mean Girls, and finally the famous Dory from Finding Nemo.” She quickly added and laughed, “minus the short term memory. I have a pretty good memory actually.”
“Oh man, I identify with Dory soley for her poor memory,” Macky laughed. “Ariel and Cady are top notch picks though, now I feel like I should have gone less 90′s and picked a Disney Princess.”
evelynbailey:
“Oh, that’s a really good question!” Evie grinned, listening to the other speak. “All of those are great character choices. I’d say for me it’d be Charlotte from Sex and the City, Maura from Sisters and Kiki from Bad Moms. I think I’m very much just the emotional Mom…”
“You know, I have this memory of going to the movie theater to see Bad Moms when it came out -- no idea why, I’m definitely not the target demographic. But I know I saw it, I just have no idea with who, or when, or why.” Macky paused for a moment, reflecting. “But are we talking Sex and The City movie Charlotte? Pookipsy in her pants Charlotte?”
