Writing this silly little fan fiction became one of the most important things in my life over the past year and a half, even with my GCSE's and beginning my T-Level studies. I have had so many friends supporting me while writing and made so many from it. I went into writing this knowing that even if one person read it and enjoyed it then it would all be worth it. If fifteen year old me knew the number of people who have read the words she wrote, she would not believe it. I am sad to say goodbye to this part of my life. It will never leave me but it is time for me to put the book on the shelf. I may come back and write a sequel seeing Draco and Harry into adulthood at some point if people are interested in that. But for now:

I don’t think I can even put into words just how incredibly condescending it was that they used Will’s love for another boy as the very thing that ultimately prevented him from accepting himself as gay.

It was only after he "got over" his gay feelings that he was allowed to be "okay with himself." It’s like having a black character accept their blackness only after bleaching their skin white.

"It’s okay to be gay, as long as you stop being gay. If you absolutely must be, you should go do it somewhere else."

And what was even worse was how they completely erased the homophobic society of Hawkins that we saw in Season 1. Will wasn’t afraid of homophobia because... there wasn’t any? What happened to his peers calling him slurs in school? Did they forget the fact that he grew up hearing his own dad call him a fag?

Adressing that and having Will realise that they don't get to control how he views himself would have been a pretty powerful and realistic culmination of his character arc. It would have focused on him they way the duffers claim they wanted his story to do.

But no. Let's never mention that again and instead focus on how it was his love for his best friend, another boy, that was the problem. The one thing that is what makes queer people queer in the first place.

If I would have asked the duffers to "tell me that you're not queer and doesn't understand queerness wothout telling me upu're mot queer and doesn't understand queerness" I would have said they made a really damn good job.

Also please look at the textures and patterns of the clothes here, I'm very proud of those, also i added some buzz to the backgroud that increases every panel until Max says something and then the buzz goes away. It's a really small detail that probably isn't even visible but I wanted the kissing to feel a little fuzzy and dream like and then that stops once they realize that this isn't actually a dream ^^ That's what I used the buzzing effect for but again I might have made it not visible enough

I think drawings 8 and 9 are my favorites because of the pose and also because of Tounge Kiss yessss!!!!! I also really love drawings 3 and 4 (and btw I love them all, but those are probably my favorites, like I'm proudest of those ones) <33
